This game is getting to a banner start. AMAZON is cancelling orders and preorders for the much wanted "deluxe" edition due to the fact that they did not recieve ANY from the manufacturer. I just had my order cancelled on me and it was supposed to be delivered today.
Y'all are talking about Baloo, and I am over here wondering if Disney was paying attention the s*** show that was Chocobo GP so they did not make the same mistakes.
Here's the thing Nintendo is lining this and the "end" of the Mario Kart DLC up for 2023 because this is when it will finally talk about / release the much debated successor to the current switch. With nearly 100 million systems out there right now, I think it is safe to say that the next gen switch will be backwards compatible. They are pulling the same crap that they did with the original BoTW were it landed on switch and Wii U. Just my opinion. 2023 is going to be a huge year for the big N.
@MostHandsieBoy It was just a question, in a day and age when everything gets cancelled. And honestly I would never say never. But thank you for you opinion and reply.
If consoles start dropping Activision / Blizzard games off of their roster will that have an affect on my copies of Diablo 2&3 as they need to be connected to battle.net to "work" properly
This kind of crap is why I stopped supporting Hot Wheels Unleashed and Crash Team Racing. HW with just one season pass has cost me nearly $80+ and they have season 2 for $29.99 plus a 3rd on the way..... $60 base game + $90 DLC NOPE. CTR buying game currency to add characters and carts, NOPE. Chocobo GP is falling right into step with these games. Square Enix should pull the game and put a halt to anything until they get this fixed. The once praised Mario Kart killer has come in DOA. Its own resuscitation is largely dependent on whether or not Square Enix actually cares what the possible fan base is telling them. Yes they seem to be listening (if only slightly), but there is so much that needs fixed that this game needs shut down and relaunched at a later date. As for me I only tried the Lite version, because I was unsure of the game, have deleted the game. Maybe if the proper changes are made i will redownload the game. But I doubt that will happen. RIP Chocobo
@TDRsuperstar2 I pre ordered the physical deluxe version and according to what I have read I will be getting all of the character DLC as part of the $70 price tag. I honestly don't know what comes with what any more. Lol
I only got the "lite" version, thank god. After trying the game and realizing all that is wrong with it, I have decided it is a HUGE no for the full game. I ain't dropping $50 usd on this mess. I stopped playing CTR and Hot Wheels Unleashed because of all the BS micro transactions and season passes. I was hesitant about the MK DLC after the game has been out for 7+ years, But at least that game is tuned and I know i wont be asked for Fifty Cents every time I breathe. I said it before Chocobo GP could have been that one great Mario Kart killer and SE messed it all up. And those twits didn't even bother to offer a physical to North America.
@acefondu from my play time with this I found that there is indeed 9 tracks with varying degrees of difficulty. That is what I saw, I have been wrong before.
I had hopes for this. It really could have been a Mario Kart killer, but for me there are 3 major nos that make me glad I didn't frop $50 on this. Micro-transactions for items, counter intuitive controls (mapping of drift, item use, etc.), the color scheme/graphics on some tracks made it very hard to see turns and such. Mind you, these are my opinions on this particular game. Yes, I have decided NOT to get the full version after playing the lite version. so we can leave it at that, K? K!
Too many cool games so far this year. Chocobo GP, Mario Kart 8 DLC, Kirby, Lego Star Wars. Splatoon 3, Klonoa...... Gonna need another (even bigger) card case.
@OorWullie Thank you. I didn't think I was going to have to "argue" with someone (@zap-switch) as to whether or not I could buy a physical copy of this game. @zap-switch, just so you know, there is a thing called pre-order, it allows you to "pre-buy" a product before it comes out. I "pre-ordered" both Kirby and Lego Star Wars.
@zap-switch There is no physical listed on ANY retail site that I can find. I checked, bestbuy, Gamestop, walmart, Nintendo, Target.... etc., etc. I you know where i can get an actual physical copy of Chocobo GP next please share. It is surely one game I do not want as just a digital. Thank in advance.
Yes I know they were not done by ATARI, but seeing this made me long for 2 adaptions for switch ZAXXON and VIEWPOINT 2 awesome space games that deserve reboot along side of the classic versions. I for one would delve into these games again.
Nintendo Switch Sales Hit Over 100 Million, Surpassing the Wii - This is for the people who keep bringing up PS5 and Xbox Series X being far superior systems. 100 MILLION units of sold as of a Feb. 03, 2022 press release. 100 Million!! PS5 has only SHIPPED 19 million since the Nov. 20, 2020 launch date. Xbox Series X expects to only ship 30 Million units by the end of 2023. Sometimes it not the power of the machine it is how well it is used. Point number 2 for these PS/Xbox fans - These systems are so scarce that you have to pay a scalper $600-$800 on average for one of these systems. Switch even at the highest price point is only $350 and it has a larger software library then either of the 2 competitors.
And for all of you who think that you are correct about the price being $24.99 for ALL 48 of the tracks. What you are really missing is NINTENDO is giving us a big F.U. on our desire for a new Mario Kart. So DLC price aside we are still stuck with Mario Kart 8 "Deluxe" with "revamped" courses we have already played. In fact some of them are coming from Mario Kart Tour.
@Jimmy_G_Buckets It would be fantastic if all of you who are jumping on me about what i am seeing in the were indeed correct, but the way I saw it in the trailer and the way they advertise it on the E-shop is that is $24.99 for the FIRST set. It says that there will be a total of 48 courses. Not that all of them are for $24.99!!! As I stated if I am wrong then I am wrong and i have no issue with that. I am going by what I saw.
@Noel360 if you "buy" the NSOEP version you DO NOT get all of the DLC it is just like the ACNH DLC that you get with it. Once you no longer have the NSOEP you loss some of the DLC.
@blockfight Where in the trailer does it say that? I will admit to being wrong, if I am. But no where in that trailer does it say that. Instead it gives the impression that EACH of the 6 DLC packs are $24.99 and NINTENDO is never really all that clear on it.
@MostHandsieBoy Actually Nintendo was not Clear on the $24.99 for the first 8 or all 48. Second if you go for the "Expansion Pack" for the Online Service you do fall victim to the following, just like NINTENDO themselves explained about the ACNH DLC. If you cancel or lag on your subscription you WILL indeed loss some of the DLC. It is a way to get you to keep paying for it over and over again.
The big problem for me is the price of this. Free as long as you keep a online membership, if you let that lag, bye bye DLC. To buy it forever $150 (usd).
Its about time!!! This is going to come at a price, but I can bet 90% of the people that still play this will pay up. The pricing is a bit steep - @$24.99 (usd) x 6 DLC packs equals about $150 for everything, this is if you want to keep the dlc. It is included for limited use with the expansion pack, which will disappear once you stop paying for the N-64 expansion
Daughter bought pre-order and got to play this morning. She is a huge fan of the entire series and ABSOLUTELY hates this game. She said there is no story, the animation is awful. To each their own. These extremely expensive, extremely SHORT games are ridiculous. This could have been a $20 DLC pack. Hell she beat the first iX games in under 6 hours.
It obvious that Nintendo will NOT be giving us a MK9,10, 11 or whatever number we are now at until the next system. So Why not the players who supported this lame duck for the last 6 years and give us some GD new DLC. Think about it. MK8D stays at the top of the charts, more people buy rebuy the title because now there is even more content than before. Release it in quarterly chunks for a fair amount and extend the game 3-5 more years. See the problem isn't the game. It is that people are bored with the game, not the structure, the structure is fine. If you build off of that solid base you are gonna draw more people, there by extending the life of the game
huge fan of the movie series and of the DS game that came out years ago, I would love for this to come to Switch US but it would have to be a much better price. $50+ for this is a little hard to swallow. I might bite for $35.
This looks like the Genesis classic "Kid Chameleon" with a touch of "Megaman" and "Super Mario Bros. 2". Depending on the price it might be worth a peek.
The new twist - full size "karts" and character outfits. MK9 will never come out on this generation machine unless they pull a Wii U / Switch game like BotW
I have a question for the masses. Is anyone having control issues with the game, specifically the mini game that is sort of like tetris? I was playing along with my daughter when I realized that I was NOT controlling my character. I literally sat the controller down and the "hand" was still picking up pieces and moving them around the play area. Is this part of that particular mini game?
I think it will be like the first BOTW game and will release on both the current hardware and the next system just like it did with the end of the Wii U / Switch transition
The C64 games will probably play better than the craptastic N64 games that Nintendo is charging people out the arse for. I honestly would rather play the C64 games. This could be fun.
I guess Inti Creates did not learn it's lesson when it Limited Run Produce their last physical edition that took almost a full year to get in the hands of players. Hell I am 6 months out on the physical of Zombies Ate My Neighbors and they are saying it will be out second quarter of '22. So in other words another year wait from order to in hand. The sad part about "Zombies", it was in manufacturing before the pre-sale and they still can't get it out on time.
My daughter was interested in Monopoly Madness but sadly it looks as though it is not coming to the US right away. I also noticed that Lego Star Wars was missing from the list again this month. They might as well scrap the whole game at this point it is nearly 3 years over due and most people have moved on from wanting to play it.
Reggie has no clue what he wants to do with his life. He is like a teen fresh outta High School, just winging it. Its that or he is a money whore and likes having 200+ "jobs".
Nope, not me. Tomb Raider was an adventure game. It was not a game were you had to dust off 500 enemies in 30sec. I honestly would rather see a remake of the original 3 games, especially Tomb Raider 1. And not emulated like the Mario 3d crap or the super botched N64 garbage.
And yet another reason for me to NOT waste an extra $30 dollars a year on this crap. Wake The Fu** up people it is a sh** system with one of the LOWEST game counts for a Nintendo console. @BlackenedHalo but I do not own AC, and I do not want another collection of worn out Genesis games. The only thing I looked at was the N64 because my daughter loves banjo. I could have seen a $10-$15 jump but not $30.
To put this in plain American "GO F*** YOURSELF NINTENDO". What a pile of crap.... $50.00 USD for N64 games, SUPER tired, worn out Genesis games and an Animal Crossing DLC pack. I call BS. What if you were one of the few who didn't get Animal Crossing, what do you do with the unusable DLC? I will be sticking with my regular Online plan.
