NOPE - this game is dead in the water for me. Paying $60+ to start and then having to pay for the rest of the game. BS. The the worst culprit of this is Hot Wheels Unleashed and Switch owners don't even get to participate in any of the cool contests. When is this BS with shipping out an incomplete game going to stop. I am all for DLC but not at this level.

I noticed that the original was not as bland visually. The lack of "grass", the spiders and a few other things made the remake look a little lack luster. But if you never played the original you would have no idea that things are missing.

Question? Why is it that when I am playing the VS mode and I select random tracks and the # of tracks does the game select only things from the old/original track. I cannot seem to get it to pick any of the new ones.

Mario circuit and Waluigi pinball are the 2 standout tracks. I was (let me emphasize, WAS!!!) excited for the "sundae" track, it is a jumbled mess that shows that the "designers" at Nintendo forgot how to make a descent track. Maybe next time.

So if the game description was misleading and the people playing the game think it sucks is it really fair to call it review bombing. Second, if you are a person who solely relies on review sites for your choices in games, movies, and music than you are part of this "problem".

so sometime mid to end of week we can expect an update to a game of some sort? That is what happens (sometimes) when they do on a Monday/Tuesday. Maybe, finally the freaking MK8DBC DLC we have been waiting for? Though I think the big N is not dropping that until august to reset the time table of release to give them just a wee bit more time.

@nessisonett I worked at a deli in Ohio and we used the made up term "Baba Ghanoush Bag" instead of the obvious Douche Bag. It sounded just as bad though. Lol

single player unless 2 or more copies are owned. Following Hot Wheels Unleashed in the vein that it will cost you a ridiculous amount to get the DLC. These are the 2 biggest factors for me not buying the game now. Hell Walmart has the PC version for $10

@Lony85 The problem with these re-releases is that they do not transfer over as neatly, mostly because of the controller mapping. We found that out with the 3-D All Stars. The controls were so bad that people refused to play the games at all. I have 2 copies in my house that absolutely no one touches for this reason.

@farrgazer having played the collection - there is input lag in quite a few of the games. Though it it is not horrible enough to me to not give this a try.
BTW Pac-Man 256 is probably the most addictive game in the set.

This is a pretty solid collection of games. Outside of the main game of Pac-Man I am going to have to throw in the vote for Pac-Man 256 as my favorite game in the family of games. It's so addictive and maddening and those are its good points. I spent over 3 hours alone just trying to get the 256, which is a bigger chore than can be imagined. Super fun set of games. Worth the the $20 I dropped on it.

@Fizza I think the Jpn one used art based on the TV show, where as the NA one seems to be using more of an art style from the comic books. I personally chose the NA one for a couple of reasons, the biggest being that stupid 2 in the middle. It looks so out of place in this.

This may sound stupid, and I am okay with that - I am (unfortunately) American. Stupid is what we do. If I have already have paid for the MK booster, paid for the AC DLC, and owned the Splatoon DLC for years - If I sign up for the expansion does it override my paid for DLC with it's (what I call) "rental" versions? I will explain my term "rental" - If you rely on the NSO expansion for these DLCs you only have access to the whole DLC as long as you maintain the NSO or it stays active (servers stay on (3ds/wii u eshops are prime examples of servers getting shut down)) if I buy the DLC I have it forever. So am I forced to "replace" my paid for DLC with the NSO's version? How does that work? And I really don't think playing a bunch of pea soup green games on my HD tv is something that will entice me.

@Ryu_Niiyama I am deeply sorry I normally do not pay attention to profiles on here because most of the time they are not even filled out. Lesson learned. In the future I will look before.
My Wizardry journey began with 5 on the pc. I have played them all except the odd PS ones (which btw there is 1 or 2 spin-offs on the PS2).

I stopped playing the game all together - I started off with bowling (global) trying to earn points I did fine the first day of doing so, the second day is when I stopped - I went to play some global matches thinking it was gonna be the same as the night before and NOPE, the changed everything about the game. I found myself trying to play the obstacle version of bowling. That was enough for me. They need to make playing that particular version a choice.

I am so done with this game. My beef right now out side of Nintendo taking away 10 extra points from my purchase rewards (I paid $49.99 and got 40, not 50, is that we have to earn points for new items by playing in the global rounds, which fine except they actually changed the rules and set up, I now have to play in a bowling obstacle course. BS.

It was so close to being a great runner up to MK and they literally blew it. Scrap the micro-transactions and fix the freakin' horrible control set up. I am so glad that I did not buy this game.

The other racing game that is a fund hound is Hot Wheels. That game is quickly becoming THE MOST EXPENSIVE GAME ever. Base game -$60, Season 1&2- $30 each, Monster Truck Expansion, $14.99, DC Super Heroes-$5.99, Batman Expansion-$14.99. Right now we are at $156.00 !!!! This doesn't even include all of the $3 add-ons and all of the cars that you can buy. You'll end up with a $200+ game that people are gonna stop playing in another year or so.

I would love to see the ORIGINAL Wizardry series (1-5) on the switch. Wizardry was such an influential RPG series. It would also need the company of the Original Zork series and the Original Ultima games.

I would like to play that Baseball game that has the "Rayman / Kirby style characters" in it. Looks like it would be fun.

@Jacoby after 4 years with the original, I sold mine and got an OLED, my own beef was how hard it was to transfer games and saves. I lost ALL of my Splatoon 2 data.

Very nicely done. Easy to pick up and just play. Lacked more choices in character creation, but that was probably the only down fall that I came across. My daughter and I played 2 rounds of bowling, 4 rounds of Chambara and 1 round of Badminton all of which were fun and got our pulses going a bit. I would say the 50 that I put down for this was worth it.

I can play ANY GB family game on my TV thanks to my Hyperkin Retron 5. I would rather have that than do any of this garbage.

I wish we could get more games like this over here in the US. I love the art style to this.

So many games are coming out with all of this extra crap to buy while you are playing a game. This is straight BS.

Nope, still didn't fix the monetary problem, they didn't address controls. Simply put they still ain't come up with a reason for me to play/ buy this. It had potential to be a great kart racer, up there with MK, but alas they dropped the ball and it will never be picked back up.

I personally do want a gameboy/color/advance NSO app. I refuse to get the N64 app because I absolutely hated the N64. The graphics were horrible and blocky (I also hated the Game Cube for the same reasons). Besides if I want to play any of the gameboy family games I have a Hyperkin retro 5 which plays GB/GBA/GBC, NES, SNES, Famicom, Super FC, Genesis, MegaDrive, SMS (cards and carts).

I said this a couple weeks ago, when Nintendo delayed BOTW2 again. There is a lot on the plate for 2023, for there to not be something like a new console. 2023 marks the end of the Mario Kart DLC, Metroid is coming out that year, so is BOTW2. Nintendo might be setting things up for the next gen system for themselves. Maybe the current system cannot handle what is in store for these games. They did this with the original BOTW, they knew Wii U was dead with the mainstream market so they did a double launch. I see this being their path.

@EVIL-C The Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens for Wii U and 3DS were both incredible games for their systems. Give them a roll some time you won't disappointed.

Can we please talk about how effed up the launch to this was yesterday? Seriously Amazon was cancelling orders left and right because they DID NOT have ANY stock on the deluxe edition. I had mine pre-ordered mine 3 months before it was due out and I still had my order cancelled by the A**hats at Amazon. I called my friend who works at the very unsavory GameStop, their store received ONLY 6 of their pre-orders. People were calling and screaming at them looking for their copies. So many retailers just did not have any stock of the game at all. Of course all of the scalpers were right there to jack up the prices to ridiculous levels. What the hell happened with this launch? Mind you this is what the situation was like here in America, I have no clue about anywhere.
