Nintendo World Championship, and Live a Live. I think I'm going to fire up the ol wii u and play Wind Waker tonight. On xbox, I'm kind of at a standstill as I haven't decided what to play yet.
I'm a sucker for the turtles. I was one of the few that thought hades was just ok. But I can't say no to these mutants, and I love the art style and character models, so I'll grab this in a sale when it drops.
Mostly Evil West and Live a Live. But I had a hankering to play Alttp as well so I did the initial dungeon. Might keep playing it til the end. We'll see!
First impression: not what i wanted, but im willing to look past it since zelda is my favorite franchise. Maybe things will change when i get my hands on it.
@SwagaliciousJohnson agreed. I was absolutely floored with excitement, then confused, then a tad bummed if I'm being honest. As a massive zelda fan, it'll be a day 1 buy no matter what, but im not sure what to make of all this yet.
Looks great, and I'm excited. I just wanted more of a window than 2025, and I couldn't have been the only one waiting for prime 2 and 3 to be announced.
Excitement level is through the roof for me. Now I'm wanting zelda, FE, DK, and xenoblade. I will not keep my expectations in check. I will do nothing but hope for everything.
Hell yes!!! I cannot wait. I've had some switch burnout with not much being for me this year. I need this direct to really hammer home all the goodies for the 2nd half. More zelda, please.
@Aispen interesting. I'm not sure if it was Input latency or just crummy design in general. Hitting is literally such a long build up and enemies are just flying at you. Shame too. Had a lot of potential. I love lost NES games since I only had what I had growing up. I didn't know about much as a kid, just bought what I thought looked good on the box art, which, was once a year, and only 1 game. It wasn't until the 16bit era where I was a tad more aware of what games were good as I was about 8-9 at the time.
Paper Mario TTYD and Evil West/ Fallout 4 on xbox. Can't decide what smaller title to play in my backlog. I tried out Gimmick Special Edition but I did not like the slow combat mixed with the fast enemies. So I might give kudzu a shot from the backlog, or buy tiny thor.

I'll have to watch after, unfortunately. I have an appointment at work at that time.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (24th August)
Mostly Wind Waker HD, and Zelda II. Haven't decided on anything else.

Nintendo World Championship, and Live a Live. I think I'm going to fire up the ol wii u and play Wind Waker tonight. On xbox, I'm kind of at a standstill as I haven't decided what to play yet.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (20th July)
Mostly ALBW but also Live a Live and some Still Wakes the Deep.
Edit: also splintered fate as I just bought it for co op with my little guy.
Re: Inti Creates' New Project Is A Pixel Art Adventure Inspired By Zelda And '90s Anime
Hell yea. This is the team that does retro right. Loved blaster master zero and the curse of the moon games. This will no doubt be a banger
Re: Review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate (Switch) - Hades In A Half-Shell
I'm a sucker for the turtles. I was one of the few that thought hades was just ok. But I can't say no to these mutants, and I love the art style and character models, so I'll grab this in a sale when it drops.
Re: Mina The Hollower Store Page Listing Spotted
Can't wait for this one. Definitely my most anticipated indie.
Re: Link Will Be Playable In Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom, According To New ESRB Rating
This is exactly what I was hoping for. I'm sure it'll be only a little bit of link playable, but a 50/50 split would be great.
Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Lead UI Artist Details Work On Samus' Visor And HUD
It's gonna be a banger, that's for sure.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (13th July)
ALBW, Live a Live, and Still Wakes the Deep.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (6th July)
Still Wakes the Deep on xbox.
Alttp and Live a Live on switch.
Re: Poll: What's Your Switch Game Of The Year Of 2024 So Far?
For the switch there hasn't been much. But my top 3 in no particular order are pepper grinder, prince of persia, and paper mario.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (29th June)
Mostly Evil West and Live a Live. But I had a hankering to play Alttp as well so I did the initial dungeon. Might keep playing it til the end. We'll see!
Re: Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Costs $60 On Switch
Good game for sure, but I grabbed it for $20 on my 2ds so I doubt I'll double dip.
Re: Talking Point: Could Another Nintendo Series Take Over The 'Traditional' Zelda Template?
I just want the traditional zelda formula WITH the zelda franchise. Or star tropics to make it's comeback.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (22nd June)
Evil West on Xbox and TTYD on switch.
Re: Video: Here's Everything You Missed In The Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Trailer
Loved the video. Lots of details I definitely missed so thank you, Alex.
Re: Review: Echo Generation: Midnight Edition (Switch) - Spooky Suburban Adventure Set In A Voxelated World
Been on my WL for a bit now. Kinda pricey so maybe ill wait for a sale.
Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Overworld Sure Looks Familiar, But Is It?
@Octane ah gotcha! I see it there now.
Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Overworld Sure Looks Familiar, But Is It?
Definitely has some similarities with the exception of the NW area. That's normally reserved for the lost woods and the master sword.
Re: New 2D Adventure 'The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom' Announced For This September
@SleeplessKnight same Here. All I wanted was a zelda game, and I got one. But not the one I was hoping for unfortunately.

Re: Nintendo Direct June 2024: Time, Where To Watch, What To Expect
@JRiegler agreed! Only 13 more hours to go!
Re: Nintendo Direct June 2024: Time, Where To Watch, What To Expect
@JRiegler crazy if we go a whole generation without a new dk game
Re: Nintendo Direct June 2024: Time, Where To Watch, What To Expect
Excitement level is through the roof for me. Now I'm wanting zelda, FE, DK, and xenoblade. I will not keep my expectations in check. I will do nothing but hope for everything.

Re: A Brand New Mainline Shovel Knight Game Is Now In Development
Huge news obviously. I can't wait to see what they do with the series.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (15th June)
Mostly TTYD and Evil West.
Re: Surprise! Shovel Knight's Original Adventure Is Getting The Deluxe Treatment
As much as I love SK treasure trove, I doubt I'll be buying this. Treasure trove as-is is good all by itself.
Re: 'Master Key' Is An Intriguing Monochrome Take On Classic Zelda Gameplay
Do the review please. I'd like to get NLs take on it before I buy and try.
Re: Anniversary: Mario Golf On N64 Is Now 25 Years Old
Definitely one of my favorites from the 64. I rented this an astronomical amount of times as a kid
Re: Talking Point: What We Expect From The Upcoming June Nintendo Direct
@BookhouseBoy thats how they getchya...
Re: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Return In All-New Retro-Style Action Game
Oh hell yea. Can't wait! I know my son and I will play through it.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (8th June)
Won't have much gaming time but the little I will have will be PM TTYD. Maybe some evil west. And a little bit of stranger things 1984
Re: Former Xbox Console Exclusive 'Echo Generation' Lands On Switch This Month
Definitely my type of game. Added to the WL.
Re: Random: Unofficial Legend Of Zelda NES Remake Gets 20-Minute Gameplay Video
I'd absolutely die for a Zelda remake. Heck even Zelda II. This looks great too, some minor changes here and there.
Re: Geoff Keighley Would Love Nintendo To "Be A Big Part" Of Summer Game Fest
Nah. Geoff can keep his no show-show. Nintendos fine.
Re: Talking Point: How Do You Define 'Retro'?
Retro for me is N64 and prior. Anything after still doesn't feel like it should be called Retro in my eyes.
