On Xbox, Forza Horizon 4

Fire Emblem, RE9, Yoshi, 007, Mina, and LEGO Batman look phenomenal. Still not sold on Mario tennis yet.

Lame if true. I want to know what’s up for Zelda and Mario this year. Fire emblem yoshi, and maybe splatoon raiders will keep me busy sure, but I need more than that.

Already preordered but I have a hand injury so I’ll stick with fire emblem until it heals up.

Pretty much only fire emblem path of radiance. I’m hooked.

@Insert_Username absolutely. I love the RE series, but even more so in the later games when ink ribbons were dropped. I like tension, but that’s a whole other level where you can quickly be forced to restart your play through if not managed properly.

My most played were botw S2 edition and XCX DE.

@JaxonH 💯. I’ve grown accustomed to no permadeath and rewind.

I’m playing now. It’s probably just me but I found it a bit harder starting out. I actually restarted the game file once I learned there’s permadeath. So I’m playing on easy to avoid any losses and just restart a mission if a team member dies. So far so good though. Wish you could speed up battles though. Fire emblem is classic comfort food for me, even if I haven’t played this before.

I got lucky and grabbed cyberpunk for $17.50

This is awesome. I play all survival horror games on easy. I’m not good at them but I love them. Will definitely buy it.

Great games. I’ve played the first game, now I’m playing rise of the tomb raider on Xbox.

I thought it just was ok. I won’t go as far as to say it scratched that Zelda itch like blossom tales did. Even hyper light drifter and title dew 2 were far better experiences imo. Not a bad game though.

@JaxonH knowing you’re a SRPG fan, maybe give dark deity 2 a shot. May not hold your full undivided attention, but man it’s awesome. It suffered from launching the same day as silksong. Might be worth firing up while we wait for FF7

One of my absolute favorite games this year was dark deity 2. Shame it never got reviewed NL.

My favorite N game this year was probably prime 4 followed closely by DKB. The only issue with DKB is that I felt it overstayed its welcome by quite a few hours.

With Metroid Prime 4 now in my rear view mirror, I’ve started playing Wario World for the first time ever. It’s actually super fun, but can be clunky at times though. Boss battles are simple, yet still engaging.

On the Xbox front, I’m finally going back to finish my Rise of the Tomb Raider play through that I stopped a few months back. Also just fired up GTA Vice City for the first time since I was in HS. So much fun, and what a nostalgia rush. Merry Christmas everyone!

Also playing some games with the family like Marvel Cosmic Invasion and some NSO games like Mario Tennis and Mario Strikers

I don't think ill be able to pry my hands off Prime 4 for anything else this weekend.

I may order Marvel Cosmic Invasion as something to do with the kids this weekend though.
