As a longtime Lunar fan (no kidding), I'm pretty okay with not getting a deluxe box set with all kinds of bells and whistles akin to the days of Working Designs. I'm also not bothered being unable to pre-order this game. As long as Gung-Ho keeps true to their word that there'll be plentiful copies, I'm good.

Amazon exclusivity, though... Oof.

I’d rather put the $320 into the Switch 2, thanks. Although I will say, this reminds me of the time I won a ridiculously large stuffed tiger at a carnival, when I was a kid. Thing was massive!

All the new-design!DK has to do is narrow his eyes and furrow his brows angrily when he finds out his bananas have been stolen yet again, and presto!

The Sims and "25th anniversary" together in the same sentence remind me of my mortality! I'd like to revisit the original game because it's such a tender piece of history to me, but I'll wait and see.

Rainbow Islands and Bubble Bobble were my mother's favorite games, so the sentimental value of having them together in a physical collection is worth my price of admission. Cadash is in my book of overlooked gems, and I'd like to play these other games, too!

My biggest takeaway is, "That redesign of Donkey Kong in the Mario Kart footage is tripping me out.
I gave the trailer a 7. I mean, I gave it a 7 because I initially compared the trailer to the Switch's reveal back then, and how I felt for that compared to how this one left me feeling, which was... "Cool!" instead of, "WOW!"

I tried to avoid the leaks as much as I could, but I definitely saw a few things over the past several weeks, so there weren't too many surprises. Except for that Mario Kart. Whee! I'm definitely excited. April is a month to look forward to...

@Alpha008 Couldn’t have said it better myself! That’s how I feel about this release. I would like to revisit and play the extra levels that I missed out on the 3DS version that I didn’t play, but I don’t wanna pay the full price.

My best/worst memory about Donkey Kong Country Returns on the Wii was how it was my first true ‘I’m getting older’ moment. I was babysitting a relative’s kid, we were taking turns, and I was watching them play the game. Out of nowhere, completely out of the blue and compulsively, I started explaining to the kid: “You know, when I was your age, Donkey Kong Country games didn’t look like this. In fact, they were more like…” I rambled like an old-timer! Aaaggghh!!

I was introduced to Silver Star Story Complete when I was 14 (I’m about to turn 39). Now you’re telling me these two titles, which are among my top favorite games of all time, are bundled together, and the physical release is not trapped in LRG’s domain? Pinch me!

I'll read the rest of the interview after I wake up, but I'll just say it right now: Emio: The Smiling Man is one of my top games of 2024. I greatly enjoyed it, but that epilogue haunted me after it finished.

I've noticed that all the Princess Peach: Showtime! icons are greyed out for me. This is hardly surprising, because I've already downloaded them all. Seeing that I'm hopelessly devoted to my Mushroom Monarch. [Heavenly sigh.]

I’ve read the original short story, the adaptations are such classics, and I love John Carpenter's film, yet I never actually played this game. Despite the problems specified in the review, I might check it out when it goes on sale.

Looney Tunes B-Ball is a nostalgic darling to me! It’s a shame this game didn’t turn out well, but I have to be honest, the reveal trailer looked pretty rough to these eyes.

I’m excited for this game, have been for a long while, and I’ll continue to wait patiently!

I hated playing the original Wii Epic Mickey because of its flaws, especially the camera. So when I played the Rebrushed demo (not on Switch), I was struck with the massive paintball feeling of, “It’s… playable. … It’s playable!!”

Then I remembered the price tag, chuckled, said, “No, thanks. Maybe some other day?” and carried on whistling like Steamboat Willie. But, hey! At least my feelings improved since 2010!

Scissorman is just looking for a friend! 🥺 I’m excited, despite being very familiar with the game for over two decades. I’m particularly looking forward to “Rewind Mode.”

If this game has taught me anything so far, it’s to mentally summon taxis.

I’m such a fan of the first (and second) Broken Sword game that I even played the GBA version! Already played the previous ‘special edition’ on the Wii, but I’ll gladly play this new update as well.

That “carnival level” music has been living rent-free in my head for decades. As well as Glover’s panicked cry… which I heard. A lot. This game is nostalgic, to be sure, but unless it comes to eShop with a smaller price tag, I’m good. 🧤

I have some wonderful, nostalgic memories thanks to her. I used to imitate her Jigglypuff when I was alone and bored. Rest well, Rachael. Cancer is a monster.

The only thing that bothers me about this reveal trailer is the lack of Luigi’s striped socks. Otherwise, I’m in!

AAI2 is the only game in the series I haven’t played, so this is my golden opportunity! I’m so excited! In fact, I shouted a more profane variant of, “Oh, SHOOT!!”’ when this reveal came up on the Direct.

The music is my favorite thing about this game. I’ve described it as “baby’s first metroidvania,” but I like it! These free updates are welcome, though I’m reminded to finish the previous update’s time trials!

I wish that Dan Barrows stress ball could be sold separately. I’d love to own one and be a real-life guy, a Boy and His Blob!

I was so determined to get the PC version of Clock Tower: Rewind, but, were it not for LRG’s notoriety and controversy, that Switch edition would look mighty tempting to me right now…

@KingMike You're right, they're not even comparable. The only reason I even mentioned the two very different games in the same breath is, admittedly, the brentalfloss songs which pitted the two games together. Heh.

Edit: I guess what I meant to say is, I love both Super Mario Land games dearly as nostalgic classics and personal favorites from the GameBoy library, but if I were to personally recommend one or the other to a modern Mario gamer, I'd personally recommend the second game over the first. But I'm just some guy!

@DestructoDisk Yeah, this is why I want to watch the movie again and get a second opinion because I think I want to give it another chance. I feel like I need to treat the movie more like how I treat the games, and my fear is I watched the movie in very a grumpy, distracted mood at the time. Which is... fatal for a movie. FATALITY!
