"I don't think that'll work." "Doesn't seem to open!... Doesn't seem to close!" "It's an old ship rib!" "Go back, you big jack-o-lantern!"

Ahhh, one of my favorites! To be honest, I never bothered with Staff of Kings; I simply opted for Steam, where Fate of Atlantis is available by itself.

@pariah164 I can get behind Porky Pig’s Haunted Holiday, and one of the most delightful things about that game is how genuinely unnerving the music is. It feels disconnected from the game itself at times, which always perplexed me!

Whatever happens, happens. I’m good with my Switch, but I know what my options are if my Switch goes kaput. Yep.

I actually had a brief conversation with Fulp, about 20 years ago. He was really cool when answering my questions! Man, I remember being in computer class in freshman year (high school), and the lot of us would stealthily goof off by playing Newgrounds games. Finally, the website got blocked by the school. But we had a good run, by gum!

@PlusFan Dr. K's animations from "Shattered Memories" really knocked my socks off, concerning he was in a Wii game. And I still occasionally listen to some of the music to this day!

Even though, unless I’m mistaken, this is the 20th anniversary of the first (Project) Zero/Fatal Frame’s release, I wasn’t holding my breath for any kind of surprise. So, this surprised the hell out of me! I’m happy, but now I want more.

With all these game announcements and everything, including this remaster, all I can say is… I am overburdened!

One specific melody from the first Mario + Rabbids, the one that plays during the tutorials, and also "Rabbid Kong Rumble", is actually one of my personal favorites ever since. I was so expecting Grant to return that I would've been stunned if he wasn't!

I’ve been interested in these games since the Super Smash Bros. Melee trophy. I simply can’t wait!

@Ralizah Huzzah! I’m late in replying! 😄 I assure you, I was laughing with you because you amused me. You once referred to a game that flopped as a “wet fart,” which made me laugh out loud in an inopportune environment, unless I’m mistaken. Anyway! Yep. Everything you’ve said about LMJ is the truth, in my eyes. If this is truly the end, well, we still have those solid adventures to revisit, yeah. Rock on!

I’ll never forget the first time my mother rented Zombies Ate My Neighbors, close to when the game was released. I played a lot of it, then she served breakfast. I told her the way the eggs were scrambled kinda reminded me of brains, and I felt like a zombie eating it! I remember her being both amused and annoyed. Heh. This news makes me happy!

Yeah, I agree with every point you’ve made about the game. When Mr. Akira died (RIP, aye), I already feared the quality of the series’ puzzles would take a hit. Every aspect took a hit, heh. A true disappointment. In fact, here’s an excerpt of my review, which is barely longer than this short-as-hell excerpt:

LMJ didn’t really start to come alive—but it still didn’t land—until the final case. And even that was ‘the poor man’s Layton’.

And I still feel that way. Oh, well! Every puzzle has an answer, even if some puzzles have unsatisfying answers!

Sorry to be a downer, but here’s my opinion. I am a massive fan of the Professor Layton franchise, and I can say, without equivocation, that LMJ: Katrielle/Millionaires’ Conspiracy is the worst of the series, by a notable margin. I didn’t dislike the game, and I certainly don’t regret purchasing it some years ago, but (again, opinion) if there is a Layton game to revisit and spruce up, this sure as heck isn’t it.

Edit: Of course, there’s the anime! And it’s cool. I just don’t think the Katrielle game stacks up to previous Layton games.

When I got the word that these games are finally officially coming to the West, I glanced at the clock as if to say, “Hm, it’s only been several years!” Better late than never, heh!

I started with the localized version released on the GameCube. I remember being charmed by this 'life simulator' at the time. And, yeah, the inclusion of some NES games really charmed me!

Them adding in The Lost Vikings 2 pretty much throws my only true gripe about the Arcade Collection out the window! Lost Vikings 2 is a personal favorite of mine, and I particularly love the music. That "Dark Ages" theme is the kind of music I want to be played at my funeral!

As for indie games, I’ll say “Mutant Mudds 99.” Because I can.

Until my heart has made its final beat, I will always happily live in the delusion that Professor Layton is in Super Smash Bros.

I will say one thing about Balan Wonderworld: It somehow got me to think about the obscure Jersey Devil, a PS1 game from way back. I haven’t played that game in, gosh, 20 years? Yeah. That’s all I have to say, I’m afraid. I played Balan’s demo and politely yet briskly escorted it out the door.

I’m going to let you all in on a little secret: I got the soundtrack so long ago, when it first came out, but I’ve never played this game. I love the soundtrack, though!

I used to be VERY arachnophobic, but I got desensitized (gradually), and now I catch and release spiders instead of killing them. I even encountered a Goliath birdeater at an expo! Spiders are so fascinating and important, if one can overcome their fear!

This game doesn’t interest me, though. Oh, well!
