This is not good and quite bizarre

Perfectly playable on the hybrid portable Switch 2 is good enough me. I find DF's analysis really interesting but also sometimes chuckle considering how long I have gamed and what technical challenges I happily gamed alongside.

Played the first two and they are good. Enjoyable. The third is on my backlog.

@Smithicus Isn't that because it's a private app with a set of rules. If you posted what some do on X on Nintendo Life's forum, you'd have your comment deleted or maybe worse? It doesn't mean NL is an echo chamber. X is terribly regulated and has become a toxic monster. I don't care for social media that much any more as much as I used to tbf . I don't understand it when you say "watch these things" , by the way 😅

Unfortunately I have to walk down an avenue.

As I said that is not the twitter I experienced that I was on for 10 years, mostly as an active user.. I witnessed A LOT of threats being made without people being banned. Yet some got suspended for using a swear word or criticising a certain government or country's military (I don't want to get into that discussion here). It was an immensely poorly managed and extremist dream echo chamber. An anti-social, private app. A real blight on society. It was getting worse year on year when I decided to pull the plug. Lord knows what it is like now. Thank heaven this site's comments sections are managed far, far better in comparison. I don't care to go onto reddit. Managing something in a basic way is not "hyper censorous". There are libel, defamation of character, anti-hate and slander laws in majority of countries.

Twitter/X is such a toxic swamp tbf. I'm glad I deleted my account after a decade on there. This was in the pre-"X" and in the actual "twitter" days. Can't imagine what it is like now. Urgh!

Good to see the excellent Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate selling well. Switch 2 version is superb.

7 downloaded there including the honourable mentions! That's the most in absolute ages. Possibly the most since this feature started. It's been like zero or up to 2 for about 6-7 months

Hope to see tekken 8 one day on the Switch 2. As for the other releases confirmed for the Switch, I will need reviews please. Good games I expect but seemingly inessential ones. Daima DLC looks interesting for DB Kakarot.

I'll need reviews for Missle Command Delta. Missle Command Recharged was just okay.

Cheers for the review. Since the Switch 1 controllers work on Switch 2, i doubt I'll be getting any more such controllers.

Incidentally, my wirelessPowerA Gamecube controller for the Nintendo Switch is struggling to synch with the Switch 2. I wonder if it works at all on NS2? Not all Switch 1 3rd party controllers do work on the new console apparently?

The good press and reviews around this game has me convinced to get it asap. Even though I struggled to get into the first, 3DS game.

I have the Ryu one. It's one my favourites (I have a fair few of the blighters, lol)

I have played the vast majority of those, LOL. I'd say half were just timepass, side salad gaming mind you.

For me, the 3DS tennis and golf games, Mario and Sonic Olympic Winter Games (first one) Wii, Mario Sports Mix & Mario Strikers Wii were my favs. I acknowledge that the GB/GBC/GBA and GC games were the better "put together" video games, mind you.

(Steamdeck is aces - but it isn't a hybrid console is it?)

I think in the sea of games I want that are upcoming, this would feature hugely down the list. So, i don't see me getting this, LOL.

2 years ago on the Switch 1 and with good reviews I would have probably gone for it.

Kind of see both sides of the argument.

Also, apparently, this may be speculation, Nintendo only offering costly higher GB cartridges to devs only. May be that Nintendo is concerned the performance is effected by lower GB cartridges?

This may encourage me to get back into it.

Thanks for the "quick review". I actually missed this Indie from the last set of eShop releases and said somewhat hastily "nothing for me this week". I think I was wrong. I had heard of this game previously and looked at the footage and it had me very interested from that. Review content here has obviously got me convinced but I need a Switch 2 optimised version! Looks like my kinda thang whether it be on Switch 1 or 2. But having an AA specific game on the Switch 2 does make it a smidgen more attractive on top, admittedly

I've given some games a spin that had some major or minor issues with performance on the Switch 1. They were only brief playthroughs of about an hour or two mind. They seemed all improved:

Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Red Faction
Saints Row IV

Apparently Lollipop Chainsaw has been significantly improved too?

Loved Strikers on Wii. I couldn't get into the Switch 1 iteration. I barely remember playing the GC game. Bought it but for some reason barely touched it.

Besides Yoshi and Poochy's Wooly World (which should be above the Wii U version as it has more content and is deliciously handheld), I don't disagree with the placings!

Nothing for me. I need to download Raidou Remastered at some point, mind.

Do people remember the third party support on the Switch 1 & 2 ? I see comments as if it's like the Wii U? Nintengloom on here unnecessarily. I mean, I'll have my compalints here and there but I like what I have and the visuals are fantastic

I can't get into the Fantasy Life series. I tried on the 3DS. I acknowledge it's a good game tbf. These placings are very very strange. BUT there is a lot of good software on the Switch 2 already. Fair play!

Will it beat the brilliant Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing Transformed? We shall see. The only other non-MK racers worth their salt for me are the Crash Bandicoot ones.

I have a PowerA wireless Gamecube controller that uses batteries so I didn't bother getting this one. However, since it had gyro.....

And so another pro is that it has gyro?

Loving the Switch 2 screen. Also loving seeing Switch 1 games look and run better with the extra horsepower (over the Switch 1 OLED). Enjoy your gaming and quit moaning (saying to self as much as anyone else, LOL).

The £67 digital only should have been the standard physical price.

There are far more good Sonic games than we are lead to believe. I'd have SonicxShadow Generations a tad higher but that is all. Good list.

Ah, some youtubers thinking they're sages. I respect opinions but I am of the opinion they are probably wrong. Probably a year or two for a major Mario platformer for me.

I don't have the eyesight of superman or an android so I don't see a significant difference between OLED or the Switch 2 screen. What I do know is that it is very hard to "go back and play" my Switch 1 OG after playing on the Switch 2! As ppl are saying OLED Switch 2 would have cost a bomba and probably impacted on battery life. If they can get around that for a version in 5 years with better battery life and 500G of internal storage in 6 years, I'll check the finances. As of now, I am really enjoying the Switch 2 visuals.

There are a huge amount of positives in this breakdown. No doubt, "the negative" will be used by some some in the gaming press and anti-social media trolls. Enjoy your gaming.
