@Moistnado You're assuming "the writer" and many others here have multiple consoles. Even though I'm an avid gamer, I only justify consoles not for just my sole self, but that others in the household play and get a lot out of. PS4 & Switch consoles - yeah. PS5 and Steamdeck - nope. I therefore won't fork out for the latter (hardware). Barely any talk of hardware costs when costs of gaming are mentioned. Cost o'living, running your own family house financially, older kids busy doing degrees etc etc
The review content makes it sound quite appealing. One that would sit nicely in "Relax" file created on my Switch 2. I think I'll DL it further down the line mind as my backlog is a mountain range.
Thanks for the review. Wow, better on the Wii? I played it on that system and it was an enjoyable playthrough. Poor they screwed it up for the Switch 1 which could have had proper gyro aiming like in 3DS Ocarina of Time as well as of course the joycon controls. Hopefully th Switch 2 can sort some of this out? Heard that was the case for the first game?
Cheers for the review. The review content is kinda of as I expected it. Another decent vania-ish game but there are large number of them on the eShop already. Shame about the frame drops. The genre is kind of lower on the genre tier list so unfortunately not for me.
Shame and sounds a tad lazy. The Switch 2 is actually already out and I have one. So I'll just get that version.
At least it's not like SEGA who released Sonic & Shadow on Switch 1, didn't indicate they'd release Switch 2 version at all, then offered no upgrade path for that game when the S2 version came out. Within a year.
Perfectly playable on the hybrid portable Switch 2 is good enough me. I find DF's analysis really interesting but also sometimes chuckle considering how long I have gamed and what technical challenges I happily gamed alongside.
@Smithicus Isn't that because it's a private app with a set of rules. If you posted what some do on X on Nintendo Life's forum, you'd have your comment deleted or maybe worse? It doesn't mean NL is an echo chamber. X is terribly regulated and has become a toxic monster. I don't care for social media that much any more as much as I used to tbf . I don't understand it when you say "watch these things" , by the way 😅
As I said that is not the twitter I experienced that I was on for 10 years, mostly as an active user.. I witnessed A LOT of threats being made without people being banned. Yet some got suspended for using a swear word or criticising a certain government or country's military (I don't want to get into that discussion here). It was an immensely poorly managed and extremist dream echo chamber. An anti-social, private app. A real blight on society. It was getting worse year on year when I decided to pull the plug. Lord knows what it is like now. Thank heaven this site's comments sections are managed far, far better in comparison. I don't care to go onto reddit. Managing something in a basic way is not "hyper censorous". There are libel, defamation of character, anti-hate and slander laws in majority of countries.
Twitter/X is such a toxic swamp tbf. I'm glad I deleted my account after a decade on there. This was in the pre-"X" and in the actual "twitter" days. Can't imagine what it is like now. Urgh!
7 downloaded there including the honourable mentions! That's the most in absolute ages. Possibly the most since this feature started. It's been like zero or up to 2 for about 6-7 months
Hope to see tekken 8 one day on the Switch 2. As for the other releases confirmed for the Switch, I will need reviews please. Good games I expect but seemingly inessential ones. Daima DLC looks interesting for DB Kakarot.
Cheers for the review. Since the Switch 1 controllers work on Switch 2, i doubt I'll be getting any more such controllers.
Incidentally, my wirelessPowerA Gamecube controller for the Nintendo Switch is struggling to synch with the Switch 2. I wonder if it works at all on NS2? Not all Switch 1 3rd party controllers do work on the new console apparently?
I have played the vast majority of those, LOL. I'd say half were just timepass, side salad gaming mind you.
For me, the 3DS tennis and golf games, Mario and Sonic Olympic Winter Games (first one) Wii, Mario Sports Mix & Mario Strikers Wii were my favs. I acknowledge that the GB/GBC/GBA and GC games were the better "put together" video games, mind you.

Re: Feature: 32 Games We're Dying To See On Switch 2
@Moistnado Is "the writer" rich?
Re: Feature: 32 Games We're Dying To See On Switch 2
I don't want to play these games on a "sat on your keister in one room" PS5 console. Hybrid gaming all the way for me.
I'm very interested in about 60% of these games for Switch2
Re: Tekken 8 On Switch 2 Would Be "A Lot Of Work", But Director Isn't Ruling It Out
I'll buy it unless it's a disaster
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch 2's GameCube Library Next Week

Looks actually quite sweet in a retro way. Yeah, will monitor.
Re: Persona 3 Reload Is Making The Jump To Switch 2 This October
Considering the brilliance of P5R on the Switch, I'm surprised there isn't more hype for this release on the Switch 2. Cannot wait.
Re: Plants Vs Zombies: Replanted Coming To Switch 1 & 2 This October
The last time I played this game was on DSiware I think. Yeah, I'm down at the right price
Re: Square Enix Is Bringing A Brand New HD-2D RPG To Switch 2 Next Year

Download it is anyway
Re: Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase July 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer
Plenty there for me but I can understand why some are disappointed. I can't understand why some are miserable mind you. Ha.
Persona 3 Reload
Dragonball Sparking Zero
Yakuza K 1 & 2
the highlights.
But about 6 or 7 I'm really interested in downloading in total. And there and a few more intriguing ones (3?) for the reviewers to help me with.
Re: Guilty Gear Switch Edition Update And DLC Arriving Fall 2025
Good fighter on Switch 1 (& 2) by the way and IMO
Re: Video: Switch 2 Vs. Steam Deck System Face-Off, Digital Foundry Investigates
Interesting article. I am good with my hybrid Switch 2 console for now. Thank you very much. I cannot afford to justify a steamdeck purchase, yet.
Re: Round Up: 10 Switch 1 & 2 Games We Played BitSummit 2025 - Here's What We Thought

Will need reviews for all tbf.
Re: Review: No Sleep For Kaname Date - From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES (Switch 2) - Fun Cast, Weak Twists In This Satisfying Spin-Off

Re: Nintendo Download: 17th July (North America)
I have the physical copy of Donkey Kong Banaza now!
I need a review for this "Beat Em Up Collection". Wandering Village when discounted.
Re: Review: Shadow Labyrinth - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Sometimes 'Good Enough' Is Just That
Cheers for the review. The review content is kinda of as I expected it. Another decent vania-ish game but there are large number of them on the eShop already. Shame about the frame drops. The genre is kind of lower on the genre tier list so unfortunately not for me.
Re: Sonic Racing: Crossworlds On Switch 2 Will Feature The Full Base Game On Cartridge
That's good.
If it is of similar quality to Sonic & SEGA all stars racing transformed, it'll be a blast.
Can they do exactly same for Sonic & Shadow Generations?
Re: Review: Donkey Kong Bananza (Switch 2) - Absolutely Smashing, But Can It Beat Mario Odyssey?
Looking forward to enjoying this. I love what I read in the review. Cheers for the review..

Re: Review: The Wandering Village (Switch) - Charming City Builder Has You Manage A Community Atop A Marching Giant
It actually sounds quite clever. I like the fusion of genres and it has worked. I may give this a try further down the line. Cheers for the review.

Re: PSA: You Might Want To Be Careful Buying Pre-Owned Switch 1 Games For Your Switch 2
This is not good and quite bizarre

Re: Hitman Developer Is Working On Switch 2 Performance Issues "Right Now"
@DominionGamma It's not about 60 fps issue for me 😅🙄
I'm glad the devs are giving in TLC of course.
Re: Hitman Developer Is Working On Switch 2 Performance Issues "Right Now"
Um, do some people not realise it has been reviewed quite well in general on the Switch 2?
Re: Video: Switch 2 And Steam Deck Face Off In Cyberpunk 2077 Benchmark Test
Steamdeck is very cool but I am good with my portable hybrid console for now....
Re: Nintendo Download: 10th July (North America)
A good week overall for my watchlist games
Pro Skater 3&4 is likely an insta-download.
Patapon requires review clearance. As does D&D Neverwinter & HunterxHunter Nen Impact
AA2 Air Combat 22 & System Shock 2 further down the line I think.
Re: 'Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced' Announced For Switch
Played the first two and they are good. Enjoyable. The third is on my backlog.
No "enhanced trilogy" for me then 😅

Re: "That's Some Real Coward S***" - Hideki Kamiya Discusses The Fallout From The Bayonetta 3 Voiceover Controversy

Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart World Returns To Pole Position
Good to see the excellent Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate selling well. Switch 2 version is superb.
Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart World Returns To Pole Position
@Truegamer79 Random Kamek unlocks in certain tracks. Are they the character unlocks you are talking about?
Re: Review: Arcade Archives 2 Air Combat 22 (Switch 2) - A Top Gun Origin Story

Re: Nintendo Download: 3rd July (North America)
I'll need reviews for Missle Command Delta. Missle Command Recharged was just okay.
Re: Review: PowerA Advantage Wired Controller For Switch 2 - An Acceptable Choice For Player 2
Cheers for the review. Since the Switch 1 controllers work on Switch 2, i doubt I'll be getting any more such controllers.

Re: Fantasy Life i's Latest Switch 1 & 2 Update Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
The good press and reviews around this game has me convinced to get it asap. Even though I struggled to get into the first, 3DS game.
Re: Gallery: Street Fighter's Luke amiibo Is A Big Fella, And No Mistake
I have the Ryu one. It's one my favourites (I have a fair few of the blighters, lol)
