Liked the S1 version, despite its bland, Wii era graphics but the S2 upgrade has really given it the polish it deserves. Recommended humbly from me.

I agree with the floatyness problem of the racer. You don't "feel" impact. Also, lock ons are excessive and unbalanced. Often majorly so.

However, it's not as as good as All Stars Racing Transformed and is half a step backwards from that game IMO. Interesting not many are trying to compare it to THAT Sonic racer.

Furthermore, it's not MK8 Deluxe level at all. The definitive kart racer and will be for a long time.

MKWorld had a hard act to follow. Looks like Nintendo experimented and tried to evolve the series. I for one am glad they tried. It's an open world game and very different to Crossworlds and 8 Deluxe and it's trying to go in it's own direction. No need to pan it excessively. I agree with a fair few criticisms of World tbf but, as I say, it's its own unique game.

It has been a good year for gaming, however.

I'm good with handheld.

I confess to having played only 4 of these which I would rate in the 7/10 category of "good, not brilliant". That's what I have played of them if I haven't for the entire A to B completion.

Roadwarden stands out, so far, even if its the one I haven't gotten as far as the others. May be an 8 when I have finished with it.

I downloaded this after reading reviews of many of the individual games on the various systemsa and with the knowledge that the dev is generally good! I didn't wait for review of this collection edition which is unusual for me. This time I got it right! All games have some compelling and compulsiveness to them

I played Year Walk on the good old Wii U way back.

Metroid Prime 1 Remastered is the greatest of all time but understably the original will be highest due to impact. After those its Super Metroid for me, then Prime 3.

Haven't played 4 yet, but I have a feeling it'll be a top 4 or 5 Metroid game

They're all great games, however...

It's a solidly good series that I would be surprised didn't turn out good.

@Pikman Overall average in 80% though (metacritic)? That's good? Sure Prime is meant to be a titan of a game so you expect 90% plus or at least high 80s, but a but "extreme" for people to say "oh look, mixed reviews, eek!" I am encouraged by this review and it seems other sites just wanted a safe Metroid Prime 1.5 2025 IMO. The reputeable ones.

The top 6 is on the money in the order of how I'd have these games. Love this series.

No.7 would probably be the 3DS version of VII and then 8. IV DS & 9. VI DS

I usually don't get pompous about visuals. It's the gameplay that matters and Sonic CW delivers on that. But it does sometimes look lifeless with the Wii era level visuals (I loved that era, don't get be wrong). I will get the upgrade pathway.

BTW, it would be cool if they did a Sonic x Shadow and Sonic Frontiers upgrade pathway to the S2 as well.

I'd say BOTW is more comforting but I love TOTK too. It built upon BOTW and took it further and deeper.

I played this extensively on Switch 2. Sublime experience.

Many S1 games are slightly or significantly improved actually (performance for example)

Despite all the moaning about GKCs? I thought it was a Nintendoomed situation because a loud area of the internet told me so? I don't like them either, tbh, but the moaning has been way excessive. Gad-zooks!

@OmegaX83 There wasn't a S2 upgrade pathway for Sonic x Shadow Generations, is what I was saying. It's a shame there wasn't one like for Crossworlds.

I will be getting the Switch 2 upgrade. It's a good arcade style kart racer but it's Switch 1 visuals are almost Wii era (not an insult, love the Wii, just mean it's 2025).

Shame they didn't do a similar upgrade for Sonic x Shadow Generations. Though that game looks and plays fine on the Switch 1 IMO.

Pretty much interested in absolutely everything listed to varying extents. Ha and ARGH!

5 downloaded and 2 on the wishlist. Good gaming to be had. A good month. Enjoyed Xenotilt the most so far

Age of Imprisonment needs a review for me. Liked the previous 2 in the HW series but I am saturated in the genre now. Has to be better than P5 strikers and the last FE musou game to be an insta-buy instead of an "eventual buy at some point in the Switch 2's life"

Also the Yakuza and Assassin's Creed games need reviews
