I love the books and the films. But only a handful or so of the games have been good IMO.

Big Brain Academy was a fun Wii and DS game that was equally fun on the Switch 1 too.

I'm not sure I want to take space up by porting all these to my Switch 2 console. We'll see.

Kirby, LoZ seem to be getting significant upgrades therefore.

I'll take a quality remake of the original. Even a port of the original and the ds game. LOL

So these aren't graphical upgrades like the TLOZ games? I'll obviously gratefully take them.

Day one if it does come to the Nintendo Switch 2. A fan of the anime and a fair few of the video games.

Pro Contoller, screen protector and carry case. For now. Glad th Switch 1 controllers work on the Switch 2 system. Got the Lexar 1tb micro sd card express too.

I have a PowerA wireless Switch 1 GC Controller already. Hopefully works on Switch 2.

Proper cartridges will be prized purchasein the Switch 2 era. 😅

I need the Switch 1 to store my Switch 1 games! No use in transfering over with the mammoth GIG Switch 2 software! Ha.

I'm no PC game or Steam Deck owner but I respect that region of gaming. Switch 2 all the way for me considering my own household gaming needs. TBF, even as an individual I have never been interested in PC gaming despite dabbling, despite gaming on and off since the Atari 2600 years..... I also therefore have never been interested in the Steam Deck. It has been successful tech unlike the PSP though

@Mushvision Finally amazon uk released the 1TB Lexar microSD express. Amazon US had them from a few weeks ago?

I liked the original but not sure it's worth a double dip, even if Switch 2 level hd-fied. I may actually have the original downloaded or "archived" on my 3DS? I actually adjusted that feature quite a lot to help the experience and occassional need to grind. Never mind.

I own and have played DNF duel and Chaos Code. Both solid 2D fighters that I'd like to add my voice to the recommendations. Gigabash is on my backlog. My youngest has played it and enjoyed it. Muv Luv and Silt on my wishlist.

I must confess I haven't heard of many of the other games and I like to think I have my finger to the pulse with regard to the Switch eShop.

I think 2S has some cool new modes compared to Switch 1 no.2 apparently. It will be a good purchase download for those who haven't played it before IMO.

Thing is though with the expensive software of NS 2 I can't see me purchasing this till maybe later in the year, if that. This is considering I have the serviceable no.2 (minus some modes that are on 2S) on NS1 already. Lower down on the priority list.

Will be making good use of archiving feature then alongside my lexar express 1tb sd card. Hoh boy....

Got the amazon priced street fighter 6 "physical". I'll probably only get Cyberpunk out of the ones listed in the immediate future.

Had I known this was coming to the NS2 previously, I would not have bought the NS1 version. I will stick to the NS1 version and just transfer it over. It's very good already. I doubt SEGA do an "upgrade scheme" at a small price.

Witcher 4?

Witcher 3 was outstanding. So glad I played it on the Switch 1.

Playstation and Nintendo serve all players in good ways. Things could be better and prices are getting silly, but it's a good landcape.

The last time something like this happened my pre-order mysteriously changed to "out of stock". I went back on amazon to see the game at a much higher price.

I am lucky enough to have played the vast majority of these. Just Card Shark, the Trails game, Volgar II on my wishlist get to download.....maybe it's time!

Switch 1 is heading towards being the 2nd best selling system of all time. It's only common sense to do an "upgraded version" in the Switch 2 with some features that are not currently on any other console system out there at the moment. It's bit like the NES to SNES and GB to GBA upgrades. It's been done before and is common sense. Think the comment was not well thought out. It's like saying PSBOX consoles have little to know identity since their first iterations, which would be balderdash

Reads like a solid metroidvania but not for me I think. Metroidvania have to be compelling for me othewise I don't see them all the way through unfortunately. There are also plenty of those compelling metroidvanias in the eShop sea and probably on my backlog. Cheers for the review

I got the pre-order for my Switch 1 from GAME. I remember driving after work to the local shopping centre where it was located. Good times. That shut down now and it has a set of shelves and one till in a Sports Direct store somewhere near home. Quite sad really. The physical trading where online buyers were misbehaving was good. Goodbye old friend.

I don't currently have a PS5. I didn’t upgrade from PS4 because it has a good enough back catalogue and it was my secondary console. I'll keep my Switch 1 and get a Switch 2 instead. With several members of the household playing the hybrid console it is worth it. The software prices are too high, that's just obvious. You can talk about mostly no microtransactions, but still. As a result I'll probably not go all in at lauch for my own personal "A-Tier" choices of games and jusy concentrate on the "absolute essential, S-Tier choice" purchases. The rest will have to wait till discounted or if retailers start competing against eachother and lowering the price enough for me.

Star Overdrive when discounted only and I'll go ahead and download the Monument Valley games.

They will probably also not rule out remasters of other GC games!
