I am lucky enough to have played the vast majority of these. Just Card Shark, the Trails game, Volgar II on my wishlist get to download.....maybe it's time!

Switch 1 is heading towards being the 2nd best selling system of all time. It's only common sense to do an "upgraded version" in the Switch 2 with some features that are not currently on any other console system out there at the moment. It's bit like the NES to SNES and GB to GBA upgrades. It's been done before and is common sense. Think the comment was not well thought out. It's like saying PSBOX consoles have little to know identity since their first iterations, which would be balderdash

It looks and reads like Super Mario Odyssey 2 with DK gloriously smashing up the place and precisely 3D platforming. My kinda thang to a tee

PowerA GC controller and Wii GC controller with adaptor. That'll do for me in playing this.

Seems there is one game to keep the Wii U for now? Ha ha (along with a handful of others and actual owned VC tbf)

Reads like a solid metroidvania but not for me I think. Metroidvania have to be compelling for me othewise I don't see them all the way through unfortunately. There are also plenty of those compelling metroidvanias in the eShop sea and probably on my backlog. Cheers for the review

I got the pre-order for my Switch 1 from GAME. I remember driving after work to the local shopping centre where it was located. Good times. That shut down now and it has a set of shelves and one till in a Sports Direct store somewhere near home. Quite sad really. The physical trading where online buyers were misbehaving was good. Goodbye old friend.

I don't currently have a PS5. I didn’t upgrade from PS4 because it has a good enough back catalogue and it was my secondary console. I'll keep my Switch 1 and get a Switch 2 instead. With several members of the household playing the hybrid console it is worth it. The software prices are too high, that's just obvious. You can talk about mostly no microtransactions, but still. As a result I'll probably not go all in at lauch for my own personal "A-Tier" choices of games and jusy concentrate on the "absolute essential, S-Tier choice" purchases. The rest will have to wait till discounted or if retailers start competing against eachother and lowering the price enough for me.

Star Overdrive when discounted only and I'll go ahead and download the Monument Valley games.

They will probably also not rule out remasters of other GC games!

The Wii U HD version is the definitive version for me. So yes, absolutely. Can't see it happening for some time though.

I agree with bundling it with twilight princess HD (another definitive version).

The equivalent xbox iteration sold poorly in comparison to the Switch though?

I have the PowerA wireless one for Switch 1 and the Wii GC controller with the 8bitdo adapter. Hopefully I'm good.

The hybrid console has been a giant of a seller for Nintendo. No way in dell they are dropping that concept after it's success. I love the concept. Also, the console price was about £25-£30 more than expected for me. Maybe in percentage terms that isn't a lot. But the software physical prices are mad at the moment. Hopefully when retailers start competing against eachother they go down. I can see me going mostly digital unfortunately which now goes onto the question of express SD cards. They are NOT plentiful enough at the moment. That will pose a problem! I think it will sell well intially, but I hope it doesn't go the way of the GameCube in terms of sales eventually. That was a powerful console of its time as well. Luckily I don't have a PS5 yet, so I may be able to "afford" it a first

I am happy with GC games coming to NSO on Switch 2. That was major news. However, it'll be disappointing to think we'll probably never get the Windwaker HD port on the Switch 2. It is the definitive edition of the game.

Paying full price for the game again so soon is a no no for me. We have an excellent version on the Switch 1 which has been scored quite highly across the board via reliable reviewers and even generally.

Switch 2 version I'm sure will look really nice but this a little bit taking the micky out of consumers.

How about new games SEGA (Yakuza O, Two Point Museum, Raidou -nice one) or a Nintendo like graphical upgrade pack?

Also, software prices for Switch 2 will be quite high won't they? Between £66-£75!

I always get a protective housing case for my handhelds since the 3DS XL era. I actually might get bothe eventually. One for home general play and one for travelling (with the case). Screen protectors too.

The household have played Mario Kart 8 DX extensively. You'd expect the majority of those tracks to feature again in MKW or at least many new ones appear? No?

That seems okay. I got it wrong before thinking we had to buy an entirely new game. I have some things to finish off in TOTK despite "completing it".

I love ShadowxSonic Generations but I'm not buying a Switch 2 version when I can play the Switch 1 version on the same console (?). Yeah, upgraded visuals and all, but it's the stellar gameplay which I love.

Surely we get the stellar P3Remaster on the Switch 2!

Some real surprises as to the 3rd party ports there. Hopefully we see them soon and well optimized. Silksong, MK World, Kirby announcements and 3D DK were highlights, but a lot a very interesting stuff there.

Not interested as of now in "enhanced visual remasters" of NS1 games.

Could have seen more first party stuff, was surprised we didn't.

Also microSD express cards aren't plentiful and not produced in that high a storage yet.

3D platforming DK is back for the new gen?! What?! I'd do a Diddy Kong summersault if I could.

Did not play as much of it as I should have back in the day. Redemption awaits. Good news again.

I must confess as being ignorant to the existence or potential existence of a Borderlands 4. Good news. Not top of my list, but welcome as part of the library to choose from.
