I liked the first two coffee talk games but I need a review for a third round.

Got Indy pre-ordered. I must've missed the announcement of Little Nightmares II, hopefully they do a physical down the line, so I can have the whole trilogy.

Edit: Turns out there is a physical releasing the same day.

Yoshi for us. Though my kids said we don't need it day 1, too much else to play, but since it will still be full price 5 years from before getting 30% off in a Mario Day sale in 2031 might as well get it now. Though I am waiting for another eShop credit sale first to pick up Splatoon Raiders as well.

Have at least two boxes of tissues on hand if you’re going to play My Little Puppy. I’m serious.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Not that much games I am interested in thus far, but Indy is looking to be a great port and complete on cartridge. Win win. Looking forward to it while completing my backlog.

@rjejr It depends on where you buy the game here. EB Games has Yoshi and the Mysterious Book for $109.95 while JBHIFI has it for $95, Big W has it for $89 and Office Works has it for $84. If you keep an eye on their prices you can save a lot of money with games. We have got some games that were $99 at some shops for $69 at others and some have sales with 10 and 20 percent off on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 games and the Christmas sales are always the best time to buy video games and consoles.

There's a handful of titles here that I'm interested in. R type, Sektori and Indiana Jones top the list

May is looking like another stacked month. Switch 2 is picking up where Switch 1 left off, just getting a lot of good new games on a monthly basis. It's awesome!

@DollyrotsFan1 In the US the prices are fairly uniform across all retailers, in store and online. Walmart has physical Yoshi for $50 instead of $60, which matches the digital price, but there really is the variance in price in the US that you find in other countries. The price is the price.

For Yoshi, I'll probably be waiting for a discount. Nothing else really grabs me.

I still have way too much to play with already released games.

Only tales of arise and bubsy interested me. But it's more of i will play it eventually than a must play.

Other than that, I'm probably getting Yoshi, Tales of Arise and Stray later on (on a sale). Not a bad month.

Alongside with Forza Horizon 6, 007 First Light and new LEGO Batman game those 3 I getting for Xbox Series X version because to earn achievements but for 007 First Light and Batman games I will get both again on Nintendo Switch 2 when both comes later this year to my priority gaming console is Nintendo Switch 2!!

Sektori is the only one I'll 100% buy. Godlike twin-stick shooter in handheld is something I really want.

@rjejr Oh. I am sorry to hear that. Over here in Australia they have a variety of different prices for games depending on the shops you go to 'cause they compete with each other to have the cheapest prices to get more customers. Big W is usually the best with prices but we have got some cheap off the Australian Amazon store too.

It is a shame things aren't the same over in the US for you.

@OneArmedGiant Yeah. Office Works has video games. They don't have many in their physical stores but they have quite a few on their online shop and we have ordered from them multiple times. They also have the Nintendo eShop Gift cards.

The Australian Amazon store is good with prices for video games sometimes too and if you are looking for older games the Gamesmen has a lot of video games on consoles going all the way back to Sega Master System and they have plushies too.

I'm not seeing anyone saying Call of the Elder Gods, which is a shame. There's a demo, try it out, it transfers to the game. It's a really good adventure game.

I was wondering the same and yes it’s a Switch 2 edition - would have loved that if I hadn’t already finished the game:

Of all the things it's a shame they're like that right now in the US, retailers all having an item at the same MSRP is very far down the list. Maybe hopefully some day it will move back up the list, if we last long enough. 😩

A yoshi demo would go down nicely. Either announced in a direct or twitter or Facebook. but of course I prefer a direct.

With Bubsy 4D in May and Rhythm Heaven/Paradise Groove in July, well I will have to prep for them then. Both games I think are going to be exciting if done well.

Yoshi I'll get later, I haven't got Crafted World yet so I'll go for that then the new one. I'll fill in what I don't have for Switch 1 first before moving over to Switch 2. Like I did Wii U/3DS (not all but a fair amount of) before moved to Switch 1 (well not as much years gap as will be for Switch 2 but either way, and what games I find physical as the digital discounts for 1st party are hmm and how often they do either).

Even looking in EB/Gamestop I was like eh, not many Indies I care about as the current trends don't interest me. The major 3rd parties are pretty eh. IPs fit the current trends to revive them so I don't care for them.

I picked up the Ghost one for OG Xbox and some other one I don't know what it's about but seemed like a fair action game.

I don't know modern gaming look a bit eh. I only came across a horror shooter (seemed fine, wasn't as exciting as FEAR or others but still looked fair for what it was as much as I could make out what it was, no idea if singleplayer or what just looked like a generic scifi horror shooter, barely much appeal to it) I wasn't familiar with for PS5 when browsing their website compared to in store.

Not a fan of gaming being just story/settings as to me the gameplay is super boring in many games and Is don't get what I'm supposed to get excited about, settings can be anything but what sets it apart? Nothing apparently in this gen? What artstyle? Sure but where is the gameplay ideas?

So there is stuff out there it's just most of it I've never heard of in the news website and otherwise most others in the shows/events I barely remember or don't interest me so to me most stuff this gen for any platform has been pretty boring, barely remember them or never seen them advertised and may appeal to me but I don't hear about them till years later.

Splatoon's new game in June/July (even if I don't have a Switch 2 and can wait for it, I still have the remaining Switch 1 1st party to get that I haven't yet as I got the niche ones first not the mainstream IPs) I'm mixed on, it is great to see a singleplayer focused one but at the same time I'm not that excited for it. Most of it doesn't seem to do much other then the core mechanics 'good' again.

Or are they just not showing off the good stuff yet, which is fine but it really doesn't5 make it clear what it's doing other then large regions but not much new to them. Are they just not able to come up with other uses for ink? Or expand it to other materials even?

The structure may be good but the presentation to make it clear what they are doing doesn't look like much.

Also if it's just mission based then pass.

It makes me think it's a Splatoon Odyssey scale platformer shooter but in doing so I haven't seen much here compared to others. I think i need to see more. Splatoon 3 I got the impression of a desert open world and it wasn't that (was the cosmetics trailer).

But here while I see a fair amount being used of the core mechanics and while 2's grapple and 3's fair level design ideas of the weapon restrictions were fun I don't see much in this one.

I have heard about some of the things going on in the United States now due to a certain bigot in the White House and I sympathize with you and the rest of the decent people in your country having to put up with his rot. As a Lesbian it makes me feel lucky to live in Australia at the moment hearing about the attacks on LGBT rights from some of my friends I talk to online but US Midterms are coming up and with any luck the Republicans will lose and Trump won't have as much power anymore.

Just beat Arise on PC/Legion Go, and basically developed carpal tunnel syndrome putting just over 100 hours into it. So, nothing for me! Scott Pilgrim EX and Assassin’s Creed Shadows will keep me busy for a while.
