Re: Mini Review: Until Then (Switch) - A Relatable Yet Ethereal Narrative Adventure

LEGEND_MARIOID

Thanks for the "quick review". I actually missed this Indie from the last set of eShop releases and said somewhat hastily "nothing for me this week". I think I was wrong. I had heard of this game previously and looked at the footage and it had me very interested from that. Review content here has obviously got me convinced but I need a Switch 2 optimised version! Cheers for the review

Re: Digital Foundry Is "Happy" With Switch 2 But Feels The Screen Is "Problematic"

LEGEND_MARIOID

I don't have the eyesight of superman or an android so I don't see a significant difference between OLED or the Switch 2 screen. What I do know is that it is very hard to "go back and play" my Switch 1 OG after playing on the Switch 2! As ppl are saying OLED Switch 2 would have cost a bomba and probably impacted on battery life. If they can get around that for a version in 5 years with better battery life and 500G of internal storage in 6 years, I'll check the finances. As of now, I am really enjoying the Switch 2 visuals.

There are a huge amount of positives in this breakdown. No doubt, "the negative" will be used by some some in the gaming press and anti-social media trolls. Enjoy your gaming.

Re: Third-Party Launch Games On Switch 2 Reportedly Sold "Very Low Numbers"

LEGEND_MARIOID

I'm not wanting to play 3rd parties on my PS consoles if they come to the Switch 2 as well. I want to play them on the hybrid handheld. I have a choice of docked tv or handheld. Absolutely can't go back if I don't have to and the game isn't a complete mess (which Switch 2 horsepower should ensure hopefully they won't be).

Also I really think people are forgetting that third parties did pretty well on Switch 1. Why do you think the Switch 2 is getting the support it is?

Very strange set of comments considering it's only SEGA saying this with it's lack of upgrade pathways for good selling Switch 1 games.

Re: Third-Party Launch Games On Switch 2 Reportedly Sold "Very Low Numbers"

LEGEND_MARIOID

They sold generally well enough on Switch 1, didn't they?

Game key cards (Cyberpunk sold well enough and isn't on one!)

Only 256 GB micro sd express cards around. Need big GB micro sd EXPRESS cards to allow room for meaty Switch 2 software downloads via eShop AND keycards!

Backwards compatibility (so Switch 1 backlog can be played with a superior horsepower console)

High software prices

People "overly-satisfied" with Mario Kart World

Are some of the reasons.

Re: Review: Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster (Switch 2) - A Solid Refresh For A 3DS RPG Gem

LEGEND_MARIOID

I've played this game on the 3DS and it is a good, good RPG. I'd recommend to anyone even with a passing interest in the genre and of course based on this review content (thank you NL for that).

There isn't enough at all for me to double dip from the 3DS version, mind you. So it's a pass from me. This one is my fav in the series of BD games because it had that pure refinement and new novelty factor at the time with the system.

Re: Talking Point: How Are You Finding Mario Kart's Open World?

LEGEND_MARIOID

I've tried it on numerous occasions. It's a neat alternative to the conventional racing modes of grand prix, knockout tour, versus etc. Half the P switch challenges are hard in a good way. I actually like going from one track section to another, a real sense of "a world". It could do with a bit of refinement, maybe with slightly more to do in some way, but then you don't want it too cluttered either. They had to do something different as "where do you go from 8 deluxe" comes to mind.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Mario Kart World

LEGEND_MARIOID

All modes together as a whole make the game feel and play stellar. Need to get away from thinking of MK like MK8DX and before. The series has evolved. Bit like open world Zelda did when BOTW came out. Many were getting hung up on the older dungeon style gameplay (which is absolutely superb in itself).

It's all superb as the 87%-90% average review score indicates. Even if slightly less in percentage than older MK. Still amazing. Enjoy.

Re: Review: Mario Kart World (Switch 2) - The Perfect Introduction To A New Console Generation

LEGEND_MARIOID

Cheers for the review. Good read.

The household are enjoying all modes. I agree with the score. It's a new foray into open world kart game, so inevitably it's going to be a smidgen unrefined whilst having some clever and interesting ideas at the same time. Like Zelda when BOTW came out, I felt its right that Nintendo needed to experiment with a new formula for the series. They have largely beennsuccessful here. Excited to play more and see where this formula goes further.
