It's actually a fav mess around game for my household. That's a shame for those who haven't downloaded it. Would have beem a good buy on discount.

Rhythm Action is my kryptonite loaded arrow shot into the achilles heel. However, I find them compelling mainly thanks to this series. I seem to remember it being a swansong type entry for previous Nintendo consoles (or near that)?

It's a great mode actually. So this is good news.

Slowly my mind re-adjusts to understand it is an very different game from Mario Kart "mainline" series and to accept it for what it is.

There are plenty of better or massively better optimised open world games on the Switch 2 & even the Switch 1. There is little excuse for this when you have the S2's horsepower. I liked messing around with the game on S1 but even the reviews on the other more powerful consoles have been very mixed as well (look up the average review scores thataway).

Having said that seeing the DF impr essions, makes me question the 4/10 😅. I do agree with docking them a point for no upgrade pathway though, so could be about right

@nomither6 Aye, true. Mind you you had to have the PS5 actually bought & in sleep mode at least and have a stable internet to use that £200 peripheral thingy. Such a Sony thing to implement. It would seem PS6 is going the Switch route, but we will see.

Probably the right move tbf. Arguably should have done this for the PS5 era. Hard to go back to sit on your ass in one room or one location (house) gaming after sampling Switch 1 & 2 as well as the Steam consoles.

Some are using versions on other consoles to put down the switch 1 & 2 versions. Granted, S1&2 versions are particularly messy but the overall metacritic scores on Xbox and PS5 didn't fare much better than even the S1 overall metacritic score! Xbox's was LOWER and PS5 1% higher only, LOL.

This indicates that reviewers were overall disappointed with the game through "mixed and average" reviews.

I do think it deserves around a 6/10 but the reviewer here has argued his case fairly enough IMO (for both s1 and s2)

Wow. I did think it needed a real polish up onto a switch 2 version but they've made very little effort here. Alongside no upgrade pathway. So lazy. It's actually a decent open world mess about game - but it is also an actual REAL mess

I would gobble this up as I am a big fan of the series. Particularly 3 and 5. I own 7 on another platform, but man would I love the main series on the Nintendo consoles, namely Switch 2. The last ones were Tag Tournament 2 which was banging and the bare bones 3DS specific game.

Upgrade pathway please!

It's a good kart racer. Many on here said they preferred it to Mario Kart World. I would be interested to see how it compared to the other Sonic racers in sales. Particularly my favourite iteration, All Stars Racing Transformed.

Switch 1 Shinobi was intially "unplayable" on the Switch 2 due to poor optimisation. I wonder if that contributed?

The other myhero fighters on S1 were decent and weren't just mere licensed cash grabs, but didn't hold my attention for super long.

Always wanted to take a deeper dive but other releases got in the way.

Adventures of Elliott, Devil May Cry 5 & Super Scram Kitty (sequel to a well rated Wii U indie!)

I mean the black bars looks silly and its a shame as it takes away from the raw atmosphere (think The Boyz) - but I am really not that bothered compared to many. Sorry.

@Banjo- Yeah, Transformed is a skill-heavy, highly precise SEGA legacy racer, whereas CrossWorlds prioritizes chaotic, item party gameplay and those portal mechanics. Adore the audio of some of the tracks too.

They probably need to make it a bit more like sonic and sega all stars racing transformed. Solid racer as it is, mind.

Massive fan of "the beautiful game" in my country. Though it's tarnished a bit by the mental commercialism and dodgy ownership models of some teams and an officiating which can't keep up withe the game

Video games of the sport have rarely interested me bar Football Manager series. The last "FIFA" game I played was FIFA 18 on the Wii. Good game tbf.

The household used to like the Inazuma series on the Nintendo consoles prior to the Switch 1

Not played a Hot Wheels Switch video game since Unleashed (the first one on the Switch?). Was decent but didn't hold my attention beyond a few months. Will need a review. Hopefully they have some okay priced dlc packs for the plethora of those collectable hot wheels cars

N++ is a quality indie. I'm pretty sure I've played N series games across two Nintendo consoles (swiss cheese memory). Definitely looking into this.
