I liked the 3DS iteration moreso that ACES on Switch (both good IMO). But I generally have always liked the series as a pick up and play game. So I 100% down. Switch 2 game as well.

I already have Galaxy 1! I'll take Galaxy 2 all day every day! One of my fav games of all time!

@RickStar I really can't justify the costs of all those consoles though like many others I'm sure. I have to choose one that the whole household can enjoy even if they are a mixture of teenage and young adult gamers. The cost appropriate and cost effective one for me and us is actually the Switch 2 together with enough visual oomph to be enjoyable. Gameplay is where it is most at, of course.

There is one other Puzzle Quest on Switch (The Legend Returns) but apparently there are 8 PQ games currently in existence I think. 2 versions of the excellent original Challenge of the Warlords, but also a Magic the Gathering and Adventure Time version as well (never played those). PQ2 wasn't great and actually made the game boring. Similar to Galactrix. There is a PQ3 out there...somewhere...

Very good. Especially if you don't have an (overly expensive in itself) PS5. Even if I did, a hybrid portable would be my preferred way of playing. I tend to have "higher completion percrntages" on portables and hybrid portables historically, so that tells its own story. I really enjoyed MK World when I stopped comparing it mentally with the 'how do you improve on this' MK 8 deluxe. Banaza is an outstanding 3D platformer, amongst the best ever. Many of my Switch 1 backlog games look and play better. A bit spoiled, if I were to tell you the truth, ha ha

For now, just the Kirby FL DLC Expansion for the Switch 2. I have already pre-ordered.

Grand Bazaar and Shinobi further down the line. Possibly Boulder Dash & Star Trek R (need reviews) as well.

I don't care about fps I want a game that isn't a mess like some were on Switch 1. I'll play it "on the hybrid go"

Sounds sweet from a retro perspective but I can't see playing it much beyond the first set of playthroughs. Even in a "pick up and play" way. Maybe I'll download it when deeply discounted

Roadwarden and Herdling look like they could be decent playthroughs tbf. I won't be getting anything from this week's download list though.

I'm not worried and I will most likely still buy it. Switch 2 third party games so far have been dreamy for me.

@Moistnado You're assuming "the writer" and many others here have multiple consoles. Even though I'm an avid gamer, I only justify consoles not for just my sole self, but that others in the household play and get a lot out of. PS4 & Switch consoles - yeah. PS5 and Steamdeck - nope. I therefore won't fork out for the latter (hardware). Barely any talk of hardware costs when costs of gaming are mentioned. Cost o'living, running your own family house financially, older kids busy doing degrees etc etc

I don't want to play these games on a "sat on your keister in one room" PS5 console. Hybrid gaming all the way for me.

The review content makes it sound quite appealing. One that would sit nicely in "Relax" file created on my Switch 2. I think I'll DL it further down the line mind as my backlog is a mountain range.

Thanks for the review. Wow, better on the Wii? I played it on that system and it was an enjoyable playthrough. Poor they screwed it up for the Switch 1 which could have had proper gyro aiming like in 3DS Ocarina of Time as well as of course the joycon controls. Hopefully th Switch 2 can sort some of this out? Heard that was the case for the first game?

It's a cracking Street Fighter outing. I'm down for most DLC including this.

Cheers for the review. The review content is kinda of as I expected it. Another decent vania-ish game but there are large number of them on the eShop already. Shame about the frame drops. The genre is kind of lower on the genre tier list so unfortunately not for me.

Shame and sounds a tad lazy. The Switch 2 is actually already out and I have one. So I'll just get that version.

At least it's not like SEGA who released Sonic & Shadow on Switch 1, didn't indicate they'd release Switch 2 version at all, then offered no upgrade path for that game when the S2 version came out. Within a year.

It actually sounds quite clever. I like the fusion of genres and it has worked. I may give this a try further down the line. Cheers for the review.
