I had drifting joycon issues with my early purchases on Switch1 but interestingly the later switch joycon releases didn't have a drift problem and lasted a lot longer. At least at time of writing. Fingers and toes crossed for Switch 2 joycons!

I actually have it downloaded on my New 3DS XL and its a good, good game. But double dip worthy? Not so sure. Even with "extras" and Switch 2 horsepower visual upgrades. Doesn't necessarily add to that interesting gameplay.

@Zach They'll do the same witn Sonic x Shadow Generations. I would have held off purchasing it on Switch 1 if I knew it was coming to Switch 2 without any upgrade package.

Raidou and Yakuza 0 are insta-purchases most likely. The extra content on Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S actually read pretty neat. Just not £35 "pretty neat"! Maybe one on a deep discount further down the line.

Xenoblade Chronicles X has me hooked via our lauch day, OG, Switch 1. So it's getting a good workout still.

It was on my wishlist. With this in mind I'll download the game plus update for transference to Switch 2, most likely.

It's an updated optimization, not an upgrade. As expected. It was okay as a timepass Pokemon game but you'd want a lot more than that from the series!

I/we still love most of these

It's rising costs relative to our cost of living. Even in entertainment / gaming.

STILL, I'll probably have much fewer day 1 purchases than the previous gen and wait for discounts/price drops.

I'll be gaming mainly on NS2 and a rickety old PS4 for now clearing a backlog. That is the household and I.

@VoidofLight I see, sorry. As a general question for gamers was my mind's thinking. I agree the costs are silly for NS2 software but hardware costs for all 3, or even 2 of the 3, consoles we are talking about are astronomical in themselves. Particularly so!

I actually couldn't get into the first Fantasy Life game on 3DS, despite appreciating it's a good game. I may well skip this iteration for now and consider it much later on, I'm unsure tbf

As I enjoyed this on the Wii and the 3DS, I didn't go for the triple dip. It is a superb platformer though. One of the best ever, for me.

There will be more Switch 1 games, but there won't be that many IMO

I'll need reviews to come up with something for me. Nothing for me as of now.

As someone pointed out these aren't really upgrades. More updates to enable smooth Switch 2 playability with those additional features like GameShare. They're not the LoZ or Kirby upgrades that you have to pay out for. This is another thing that may cause consumers confusion unfortunately
