This. And there is still lots of (new) stuff in the past to play, that I still have to play and beat someday. Today I watched a retro-games-are-better-video and the guy was talking about Gothic 1 and Arx Fatalis. Both games are very interesting.

I feel like I am not the target audience anymore, and this is just part of the reason why. I want to play games made by gamers, for gamers, and not by computers, shareholders or activists. Going forward, I will probably play more old games.

Really curious now, how this will affect the sales.

My game of the year was Final Fantasy IX or Ridge Racer Type 4. I know that it does not count.

More trophy collecting in Super Smash Bros. Melee. I think I have 185 of them now. Almost done with the adventure mode, with every character I have unlocked so far. This weekend, I will also try to unlock the rest of the characters. Melee is still as fun as it used to be.

Yeah, I think this game is for me. Taking something dark and serious, and making it fun and child friendly, is simply awesome.

Octopath Traveler 1 sold 110,111 copies, and Octopath Traveler 2 sold approximately 78,000 copies in its first week in Japan.

For comparison. Prime 1 Remastered sold 7,960, Prime 2 sold 17,680, and Prime 3 sold 34,151.

I agree, it is a great game. I think I played through it, at least three times already. It is so fun and cute. I hope the new Yoshi game will be great, too, even though it seems to be different.

I love this game. It plays really well, and it becomes challenging towards the end. Even the music is nice and playful.

Yes, it is available for the Switch. It is also available for the PlayStation 1,4, and 5.

I remember playing the demo of the first game, when the PlayStation was still current generation, and I loved it. It felt unique, even at that time. I watched longplays of both games. Maybe someday I will beat them myself. I can only hope, that I can get the original versions someday.

I think I will go back to the future and play Yoshi's Island or Starwing on my Super Nintendo.

Around 100k was my estimate, if it sells well. I think it is safe to say, that Air Riders will someday top the Japanese lifetime sales of the original game, which sold around 450k.

Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake is my top priority, but I will also make sure to play the Road Trip mode, of Kirby Air Riders. I think I am nearing the end of the main quest in Dragon Quest, but I want to try to do a little bit more than that. Air Riders is cool. Kirby reached level 109 yesterday in Road Trip and I am in the 7th stage now. It is an interesting mode and I am glad that they decided to put a little story in the game.

Thanks for the numbers. So this makes approximately 1,6 million Switch 2 units sold by the end of June, around 2 million by the end of July, around 2,4 million by the end of August, around 2,69 million by the end of September, and around 3,018 million by the end of October.

Thanks, I did not know about the 300k sales figure. The only explanation I have for this is, that Nintendo mentioned shipped numbers, which means the consoles they shipped to warehouses and retailers. The 300k units were real sales to the customer probably.

Kirby Air Ride has a Metacritic score of 61, so this is a success. Really glad that it turned out well and that Nintendo decided to make this sequel at all.

Will be getting my copy tomorrow.

I read the whole review, before I looked up the score. I guess this means, that I am really interested in Air Riders.

Of course, thank you. Hyrule Warriors released on August 14, 2014, on the Wii U. By November 30, 2014 the Wii U had sold 2,009,513 life-time sales, in Japan.

If you compare this to the 2,642,256, the Switch 2 has sold now in Japan, you can even argue that Age of Imprisonment underperformed, as long as we do not get data on digital sales, for the title.

This is one of the reasons, why I also mentioned the Wii U Hyrule Warriors sales. At the end of 2014 the Wii U has sold 9,2 million units.

We can only assume how big the difference would be.

For comparison, Hyrule Warriors for Wii U sold 69,090 units, in its first week, in Japan.

And Age of Calamity sold 173,215 units during its first week.

Looks good. Never played the original, so I am very curious what fans of the original will have to say about the changes they made.

It is nice to have a free update for this lovely game, thanks! I might return to collect the Decor Pikmin someday.
