I have no idea, but you said they sell as many as they can make. I checked the numbers for the past weeks, here on Nintendolife and they usually sold comfortably over 100k.

According to your reply, I took it that they produce less now.

I am still disappointed with the Switch 2 and there is nothing worthwile for me to play on the Switch 2 anymore, so I will continue playing Final Fantasy IX on my PlayStation 1. Just arrived at Lindblum. I will try to see how far I can come without grinding.

I think I enjoyed Astro Bot more, because it has much more platforming and is more like parcour Mario, where you have to get from the starting point to the finish. There was just not enough platforming in Bananza for my taste.

Odyssey will definitely be the more memorable game to me. The vibes are just much better.

Switch 2 sales are lower again. Yeah, I will not pay 80€ for an updated Switch 1 Mario Party.

Hehe, write as much as you want. If you feel like buying the Switch 2 when Gen 10 arrives, that is fine. If you are not into retro gaming, that is fine too. And do not worry about these kind of things, you will always find something worth doing and living for.

I am happily playing Final Fantasy IX now. You just know that everything is good, when a game like that exists.

No more re-something for me please. I will stick with the original games.

If you do not feel like getting one now, waiting is the best option. And thank you for trying to comfort me, but thankfully there is no reason to. I know my posts are quite negative now compared to my usual ones, but I am actually feeling kinda relieved and content now, with a little dose of schadenfreude for the self-destructing industry, and I am enjoying myself with classic games. I am not going anywhere and I will keep loving games, even if it means playing old games.

100% agree. And knowing that the good old games will always be there for us, is a great feeling. There are so many classics, which I never played and so much I want to play again.

Square Enix is the company, which takes part in every greedy fad.

Thank you, your advice is appreciated. My real problem though is not that new games are not retro enough, but that new games just feel dead and nihilistic and worse than what came before.

I will consider selling the new consoles though.

I know, it is my fault for buying the Switch 2 in the first place. There were way too many red flags and I should have realised, that the industry is dead and can not produce games with a soul anymore, since I own a PlayStation 5. It is only about greed and control now.

This is a lesson for me, that being optimistic and positive can be harmful sometimes.

It was great, because I do not want a single game, so no FOMO for me. Feels good to know, that I can concentrate on retro games now. Thanks industry!

That new Ehnix game looks so bland and creatively bankrupt. I am playing a PlayStation 1 game on a CRT and that game has soul and it is much more beautifu, than this new Ehnix game.

I am thinking about selling my Switch 2. Seriously modern gaming is dead and I am out of copium.

Looks lifeless and uninteresting and it makes me want to play classic jrpgs instead.

I am starting to feel disappointed after playing World and Bananza and so I am losing my faith in modern gaming again, so not really interested, especially in key cards. I hope the direct will be good and can change my mind though.

I am at the end of Donkey Kong Bananza. Donkey Kong is still hungry for bananas and I will not let him starve.

I am sure, that Nintendo will be happy. I know I am, but for different reasons. Bananza is addicting fun and I am happy, that Donkey Kong is finally back!

The super duper awesome Donkey Kong Bananza. I love moving around, scanning the environment and collecting stuff. It is great to explore. So far I 100% finished the first three layers. I am halfway through the Canyon now.
