I stayed up a good few hours trying to pre-order one. It paid off though, and I'll be picking mine up here in just around 6 and a half hours. Going with Mario Kart for now, and going to play some of my backlog. Might end up preordering the new DK. The new Pokemon looks good too, but I might wait a little for that one

Calling it now, they’re saving a few things for a big (maybe free, maybe paid) update in a few months to try and pull more people in. Things I expect to see are 200cc, (or higher) more battle modes, more characters, (justice for Mii😭) and maybe a few surprises here and there. It’d be smart if they do it right. Otherwise people will complain saying “oh look, another unfinished game Nintendo rushed!” But I think World will be popular enough people won’t think so. But we’ll see

Everyone’s talking about MK8DX, but can we talk about Mario Odyssey for a second?? It came out in 2017, and is still selling today. I know it’s probably because of the Switch 2 upgrade, but wow, I thought everybody had it at this point, lol. Feel like it’s always on sale

@JPEGMakima Well I suppose it comes down to what you think has been said that is hateful. I would say that we may not always like the truth, but that it isn't hateful, but rather "offensive." (In that you can take offense to it, even when there really is no reason to) For example, if I said I didn't want the Rock to play Ronald McDonald in a movie, you may take offense to that, but there is nothing hateful about that. This is the same thing. Something that you may take offense to is not always hateful, just like truth.

I think this would be a bad idea for several reasons. Also don't think this rumor is true. A lot of FANS want Hunter as Zelda, doesn't mean Nintendo is actually looking to even pick Hunter.

If Nintendo wants to acually make a great movie, AND not die in the box office, they'll pick someone else. I'll just leave it at that

It's long been rumored that Zelda would replace Lost Continent at Islands of Adventure in Orlando. And Pokemon to replace The Simpsons. Even with Epic Universe opening, that's still what I hear is in the talks, but I get why it would make more sense elsewhere. Guess we'll see

But in all seriousness, I could seem them doing some skins of the updated versions of characters. Interesting this game is still getting updates, guess it still gets enough traction

After some hassle I was able to get one. Only took a little longer than it should have, but it worked out.

I know it's a lot of logistics, but part of me wonders if they could do store-specific servers on some of the sites. That way you don't have to worry about the whole site crashing. coughcoughTargetandGameStopcoughcough

I've hardly touched ANY game all year. I've meant to pick up some of the backlog I have, but I've been pretty busy. As long as Mario Kart World and the new DK don't take up all my time, I'm hoping to try and clear it up a bit over the second half of the year. (How are we already nearly halfway through 2025??)

You know, I actually don't mind it. The teeth are a bit odd, and the pot belly is a choice for sure, but I really like the more cartoony style. Works way better than Donkey Kong imo

Interesting choice. I know red is Nintendo’s color, but I don’t think it makes sense. I know that all in all we haven’t had orange as the color for the eShop, but I don’t think red was the right choice. While Red draws you more to Nintendo, color theory wise orange is a better choice 🤷🏻‍♂️

Crazy that we're just over a month away from the Switch 2

Donkey Kong and Tomodachi Life were my biggest hopes, and we got both, so I'm happy. I would LOVE to see a new Punch Out (Or even a port of the one from the Wii using the JoyCons) but doubt we will see that. Also hoping for a Zelda TTP, but idk about that one either

Honestly, none. At least for now. I have all my controllers from my OG Switch, so I'm good there. Might pick up the case and screen protector if anything, but not too sure just yet. I know I'll have to get an SD card at some point, but I'm already spending a lot of money at the moment, so I'll wait a few on that, lol

Even with Splatoon 3 out, a good few people still play Splatoon 2. That’s on the same console, so I will be interested to see how Mario Kart World affects the 8 Deluxe servers being across two different consoles

I already have adapters for my original GameCube controllers, and I really like them. That’s mainly what I use for Smash and Mario Kart. I tried some of the other wireless ones, but they just feel so cheap and easy to break, and super light.

If these get good reviews, I might pick one up, but I’m guessing it won’t beat the og ones, even with extra buttons and being wireless

I find it funny everyone wants a new Mario game already. I get it, but come on. We got Wonder just over a year ago, and even Odyssey wasn’t that long ago all things considered. The last NEW DK game was in 2014… It’s been 11 years😭 I am so much more excited for this than I would be for a new Mario game.

I love Wind Waker, but I played it on the GameCube, so I do like this version. I'm happy they added it, and I really don't mind it's not the HD version. I think we could maybe see the HD version in a bundle, if they did an all-star thing like they did with the Mario games.

I'm hoping that Twilight Princess not being in NSO at launch means it's going to get its own remake/port, and not be added later. It would be silly of Nintendo NOT to port TP, I'm sure they would make a lot of money from that

I would give it an 8.5, or 9. It was really good. There were a few glitches towards the end, and I wish they showed off a few more first party IPs, but I feel like they showed a lot of really great things

$500 for the Switch 2 and ONE game is a bit much, but I guess it could be worse, right? I was going to pick this one up, but now I'm not so sure. I'll have to think about it, because that sure is a lot of money

I think Link should be a no-name/smaller/new actor, not some big name. Especially if he stays true to not talking, I think it would be great for someone new to get a shot to work on a big movie. You don't have to speak, you simply work on delivering emotion (Or just get Orlando Bloom, lol)

The rest can be famous celebs, that's fine, as long as we don't get Chris Pratt, Jack Black, and Jason Momoa. Emma Watson could be a good Zelda, but then again, maybe just make her a no-name as well, and only have Ganon be huge (Adam Sandler, please 🙏🏻)

I reckon it’s real, it would be weird for them to only include one fake app among so many real ones. It would also make sense to finally bring My Nintendo to mobile phones in a much easier way

One of the weeker Minecraft Lives for me.

I like the format better, (although I wish it was actually live, and more like the previous Minecons, but one can only wish) but the content of the next update? Mehhh. The happy ghast is cool in theory, but literally any new mob would have been better for it. Also the texture is off, but I'm sure they'll fix it. Shaders is nice, but unsure how well it will work. The movie still doesn't look great, but I'll give it a shot. Surprised we didn't see anything for Spicewood (the leaked new Minecraft spin-off for anyone who doesn't know)

Since it's something you can turn on and off like a setting, I think it's nice they are finally adding a vanilla way to have shaders. It's funny though, I wonder how many Bedrock systems will be able to run the shaders. The caption at the bottom says what we are seeing is from a "high-end computer." You know it's not running on Switch, and I'm not sure how strong a PS5 or the new XBox is, but I doubt it would run great on there. If it really only works on a good computer... my question is why are you still playing Bedrock and not Java, lol (And also why add a feature only a very small group of players could use)

Now, what scares me is Jeb said they are working on finding a way to add this to Java as well... If they keep it a setting, great, but if they are about to add a marketplace and ruin Java, no thanks

I don't know... I think if Silksong showed up, even if just for a few seconds, that might be what blows everyone's socks off

But in all seriousness, unless everything else just isn't good, I don't think you can say Metroid will be the star of the show. It all comes down to what YOU specifically are excited about. Like I would be most excited for a new Smash game, or a new Donkey Kong game, that would steal the show for me. But for someone else, it might be Monster Hunter and Fire Emblem

As of now I'm going Totodile. Hoping they get some cool regional variants. Seen rumors Meganium might evolve into a grass fairy type because Chikorita has the fairy type move disarming voice in the trailer. If that's true, that might save Meganium from being one of the worst starter mons

I'm thinking/hoping it actually looks a whole lot more futuristic at parts. The fact that it already looks this nice, and that they aren't dropping it until the end of the year really speaks volumes about how much time they are spending on this game. I'm genuinely really excited, and will probably be preordering this game.

Sure, a unique style would be nice, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are spending even more time on gen 10, a game I expect to be quite different

If we get something for Black and White's 15th this year, while we got nothing for Silver and Gold's 25th last year... There might be riots
