@LadyCharlie Just a quick google search indicates that Thunderful has a $35 million market cap and Nintendo is about $63 BILLION... so comparing them financially is probably not reasonable.

If it's fully backwards compatible with Switch games, they could just call it Nintendo Switch and stop production of the originals, kinda like Apple TV hardware.

@marsbitrona I agree that not many people were actually confused that it was an add-on... but I know a LOT of people that had a Wii and had no idea that the WiiU was a thing... probably due to poor marketing, but also because the name didn't stand out as something new.

Playing Wave Race 64 is just as memorable to me as Mario 64 and GoldenEye... and MK64 Battle Mode.

It is unfortunate that this discovery "ruins" the hard work of many runners who worked to get their top 10 time, but that's how it goes in speedrunnng.

SM64 120 Star is at the pinnacle of speedrunning and has been largely unchanged for years in terms of routing/strats... eventually the top runners will probably all record a time with the new technique and everything will be ok.

Achievements are dumb... And this game doesn't look good on Switch... No one is surprised and a lot of people will be happy to play MK on Switch and won't care.

I loved this game... completed all of the missions... went back and completed the fishing catalog once the "passive' mode came out... Now give me more story missions ( I will pay for them)!

I do agree that the ending(s) were very disappointing... I was ready for a big showdown with a leviathan or something.

Most TMNT games have been bad since the SNES days... Shredder's Revenge was a great surprise.

An Arkham-style TMNT game would be awesome... seems unlikely.

The Last Ronin looks pretty cool, but will likely never come to Switch.

I was hoping the Hat Throw mechanic would make its way to the next 2D Mario game... Maybe Mario Maker 3?

Yes, there was some doubt at the very first reveal. I personally thought it might be leaning way too heavily toward "mobile game" style... and some well known Nintendo commenters thought it looked a little silly.

Nintendo has been good about backwards compatibility, especially with handhelds. Using small cartridges makes this even easier.

There is very little reason to think Switch 2 won't be able to play the Switch library. I doubt it will happen, but if the old games receive a performance boost on Switch 2, that would be fantastic.
