@LadyCharlie Just a quick google search indicates that Thunderful has a $35 million market cap and Nintendo is about $63 BILLION... so comparing them financially is probably not reasonable.
If it's fully backwards compatible with Switch games, they could just call it Nintendo Switch and stop production of the originals, kinda like Apple TV hardware.
@marsbitrona I agree that not many people were actually confused that it was an add-on... but I know a LOT of people that had a Wii and had no idea that the WiiU was a thing... probably due to poor marketing, but also because the name didn't stand out as something new.
It is unfortunate that this discovery "ruins" the hard work of many runners who worked to get their top 10 time, but that's how it goes in speedrunnng.
SM64 120 Star is at the pinnacle of speedrunning and has been largely unchanged for years in terms of routing/strats... eventually the top runners will probably all record a time with the new technique and everything will be ok.
This is the first web site I found to state the pricing... thanks.
I might have preferred to wait for more episodes and have more than 1-3 hours of gameplay (at a higher price of course)... but my wife will be SUPER excited to play this at some point over the holidays.
We thoroughly enjoyed playing the main campaign together and anyone who hasn't tried this games: October is the perfect month for it!
Achievements are dumb... And this game doesn't look good on Switch... No one is surprised and a lot of people will be happy to play MK on Switch and won't care.
I loved this game... completed all of the missions... went back and completed the fishing catalog once the "passive' mode came out... Now give me more story missions ( I will pay for them)!
I do agree that the ending(s) were very disappointing... I was ready for a big showdown with a leviathan or something.
Yes, there was some doubt at the very first reveal. I personally thought it might be leaning way too heavily toward "mobile game" style... and some well known Nintendo commenters thought it looked a little silly.
Nintendo has been good about backwards compatibility, especially with handhelds. Using small cartridges makes this even easier.
There is very little reason to think Switch 2 won't be able to play the Switch library. I doubt it will happen, but if the old games receive a performance boost on Switch 2, that would be fantastic.

Re: Thunderful Extends Its Distribution Agreement With Nintendo
@-wc- If you haven't tried the Steamworld Games (Dig, Dig 2, Heist)... try them. They are wonderful and often super discounted in the eShop.

@TotalHenshin No... uploads haven't been possible for a long time.

Gotta say... the name suyu is brilliant.
Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed Is Bringing The Mayhem To Switch
Doesn't look good... hope I'm wrong.
Re: Best Nintendo Switch Micro SD Cards - Cheapest Memory Cards In 2024
I've seen the SanDisk Extreme 256GB go for $20 and the 512 for $30... can't beat that.
Re: Another Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Beat 'Em Up Is Coming To Switch This April
GameMill seems like a term one would use to insult a game developer.
Re: 94 Switch Games You Should Pick Up in Nintendo's 'Jump-Start' January Sale (US)
Gorogoa is really cool.
Re: Analysts Doubt 'Switch 2' Will Be Able To Top Switch's Mighty Sales Numbers
Being backwards compatible will certainly help... A second Switch, plus it can play the new games!
Re: Hands On: Mario Vs. Donkey Kong's New Co-op Rekindles An Old Rivalry
Glad this exists... may get it at some point since it has co-op.
$50 is the new $30.

Re: Talking Point: What Will The 'Switch 2' Actually Be Called?
Nintendo Lite Switch...
with Home Automation functionality that will never be used.
Super Switch would be awesome... kinda hoping for Switch DS.
Re: Newly Discovered Nintendo Filing Shows Off "Dual-Screen, Detachable Device"
WiiU 2 baby! Bring it on...
Re: Every Nintendo Switch Online N64 Game Ranked
Playing Wave Race 64 is just as memorable to me as Mario 64 and GoldenEye... and MK64 Battle Mode.
If Nintendo got some good 3rd party N64 titles on NSO, I would probably upgrade for a bit.
Re: Yu Suzuki's Rail Shooter 'Air Twister' Is Full Of Unlockable Features In New Trailer
Definite Panzer Dragoon/Sin & Punishment vibes... might be willing to check it out on sale someday.

The 512GB Extreme card for $32 seems pretty good.

Microsoft needs to look up the definition of "console".
The GameBoy is a console.

Mario Kart Ultimate physical when?
Re: Poll: Will There Be A September Nintendo Direct This Year?
They can't really discuss any/many first party titles as they are developed for Switch 2.
Re: Mario Kart Tour Will Receive No New Content After October's 'Battle Tour', Says Nintendo
Did that count as MK9? So Mario Kart X in 2024!
Re: Talking Point: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom DLC - What Would You Have Liked To See?
How about some Mario Party Superstars DLC instead...
Re: Cowabunga! New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem Game Announced For Next Year
Most TMNT games have been bad since the SNES days... Shredder's Revenge was a great surprise.
An Arkham-style TMNT game would be awesome... seems unlikely.
The Last Ronin looks pretty cool, but will likely never come to Switch.
Re: Hands On: Super Mario Bros. Wonder Lives Up To Its Name In The First Hour
I was hoping the Hat Throw mechanic would make its way to the next 2D Mario game... Maybe Mario Maker 3?

What happened to Black Yoshi?
And Elephant Yoshi would have been so, so weird...
Re: Review: Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy - A Series Best That Proves It Still Has The Magic

You may want to save yourself some time and skip Trine 3.
Re: Review: Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy - A Series Best That Proves It Still Has The Magic
Glad to hear it... still need to finish Trine 2 and start Trine 4.
I will be completely skipping Trine 3.
Re: 'Thunder Ray' Looks Like The Perfect Spiritual Successor To Punch-Out
A simple remaster of Punch-Out Wii would be welcome... I always wanted to play that game more, but with a proper controller.
Also, would prefer a new Ready2Rumble.

What about Marble It Up Ultra? I expected that to be Highlighted...
Re: RoboDunk Is A Sports Roguelite Combining NBA Jam-Style Basketball And Explosive Upgrades

Very interesting premise... but the roguelite/levelling elements aren't my thing... and the level of polish (UI) looks low.
Re: WayForward's Game Boy Color Classic 'Xtreme Sports' Is Out Now On Switch
WayForward loves their scantily clad characters...
Re: Super Mario Bros. Live-Action Movie Getting 4K Anniversary Screening (Japan)
Honestly, the live action movie had the same level of writing as the animated movie... at least it tried to provide some explanation.
Re: 'It's A Wrap!' Mixes '80s Action Movies And Time-Bending Puzzle Platforming On Switch Soon

Re: Review: Disney Illusion Island - Mickey Mouse's Metroidvania Is Magical
Glad this is good as it looked like it could turn out to be another quickly forgotten licensed game.
I would prefer Disney Afternoon Collection on Switch.
Re: EVO 2023 Reveals Full Schedule - Featuring Tournaments, Panels & Surprises
We need a new Bushido Blade... Or at least port the Deadliest Warrior games to Switch!
