I only play this with my friend's kids, which is rare these days... but I will support the dev with the Upgrade Pack.

I'm not good at fighting games but I always loved Virtua Fighter for some reason. I will probably pick this up at some point, just for the nostalgia of playing with my best friend on Sega Saturn in the 90's.

Does v22.0.0 block third party docks?

I always wondered if this was possible... and if so, why it wasn't already standard on the Switch 2.

There is now even less need for Mario Kart World!

MK8 is peak karting.

I will never use it (intentionally) and will someday find a clever re-bind for it. But calling it a C button was a mistake since that sounds like an actual usable game button.

I played this on CD ROM as a kid... it was cool at the time.

Maybe we can get all of The Room games on Switch 2 with mouse controls? And a new one...

3D World is a GREAT co-op experience... as are the New Super Marios.

SMB3 and SM64 blew my mind when they released and will always hold a special place in my heart.

Odyssey was great, but they turned it into a collect-a-thon.

There is some recency bias for sure... and comparing 2D to 3D Marios is silly.

Heave Ho 2 is the most exciting game announcement in a long time!

@Thomystic The Switch 1 is almost 9 years old... it is time to stop requiring devs to make sacrifices and/or spend additional resources to make a game Switch 1 compatible.

This looks like one of those very interesting games that I will finally sit down to play one weekend... get pretty far... put it down and get busy with other things... then try to come back to it and have no idea where I left off and what I need to do.

Love the SteamWorld games... Mario Kart 7 should be higher... Forgot Shovel Knight was on 3DS.

Ecco games are some of my favorite GDQ speedruns to watch.

DuckTales is legit one of the best NES games... never got to play 2, so I am excited to try it.

FINALLY I can play this with my NES controllers... buying the Switch 2 Digital version (which also provides the Switch 1 version) and I will be purchasing the Switch 1 physical version as well!

The devs probably should add a Performance or Quality option for people who prefer a stable 30fps over a fluctuating 30-60fps.

I played this game every day for a couple weeks with my neighbor after school... it was annoying at times but intense fun at others... we finally killed Jaws and it was incredible!

This looks like it could be fun... but the performance issues and no multiplayer in unacceptable... maybe at a STEEP discount.

This game gives me hope that we will get a Switch 2 Mario Golf, and hopefully it won't be crippled by the Rush mode that requires all of the holes to be connected... give me the wild and crazy Mushroom Kingdom courses from Toadstool Tour and World Tour... also NO PAR 3 COURSES!

@TheRazor Highly doubt this will fit on a Switch cartridge... might as well just buy it digital unless you really like the physical packaging.

It's nice to finally see a (first-person) Uncharted game on a Nintendo console.

I was enamored with Mario Tennis on GameCube, but I think it was due to the personal era in which the game was out. I got pretty burned with the WiiU version and I never got into the Switch version. I want to be excited for this one, but I'm not.

This game existing does give me some hope that they will release a new Mario Golf and make the courses more interesting.

So far, my best two reasons for buying a Switch 2:
1) Split Fiction
2) Cast n Chill 120 FPS

Game Key Cards are the WORST.. you still get to take up storage space and risk losing the license in the future... but you also need to have the physical card available and inserted in the system. So it's not permanent nor convenient.

I suppose the ONLY benefit is easier sharing and resale?

BUT considering they are releasing the standard digital version for $20, that works for me.

It is odd that they are releasing a specific Switch 2 version... is there a difference?

@Gamebits Ducktales Remastered (which is actually a remake and not a remaster) doesn't really add anything to the original... Except really boring cutscenes with phoned-in voice acting.

Hopefully someone can provide info if there is a Switch 2 version.. is it different? If you buy one, do you get both?

@SillyG In that case, that (Disney Collection) may be the second game in history that I buy digitally for playing and physically for collecting.

You probably wouldn't guess the other one: Stern Pinball Arcade... but that's mostly because the physical and digital got very cheap.

Not really sure why the flower includes Captain Toad... weird.

This doesn't seem appealing to me, especially for paid DLC... I hope plenty of people enjoy it, otherwise Nintendo will continue to think that no one wants added support for old games (Mario Party Superstars).

But... maybe Switch 2 handheld still doesn't have the power delivery (wattage) available when docked, so some additional tricks/reprogramming is needed?

Somehow, I never played the first... will try to remedy that soon... surely it will go on sale before the sequel is released.

I have a pessimistic feeling that this might make its way to streaming very quickly.

If it's a more expensive OLED model... fine.

If it's improved battery life or something else significant for the same price, I will be rather upset.

But it also could be absolutely nothing.

I have heard very good things about this from a couple sources now... still can't decide if it's for me. Really glad that things like this game can exist and find an audience.

The money for Nintendo is in game sales... streaming content is essentially a competitor to gaming time, so it makes sense that Nintendo is not concerned with streaming apps on their hardware. Unless Disney/Netflix/etc are going to give Nintendo a cut of the subscription money, they are competition.

I'm not too concerned as I would rarely use streaming apps on Switch... but it would be nice to have YouTube and Twitch on my Switch 2 when traveling for the much bigger screen.

This looks like good option to have available... and my wife might love it since any game that has fishing, that's all she does.

@Aerona Fleeced out of $500 implies ordering a Switch2 and receiving a box full of old newspapers!

I appreciate a higher frame rate... but this seems like a game that might have been better off running at 30fps on the Switch 1 if they could have kept the resolution higher.

Or maybe a Quality vs Performance mode?

Also grabbed a deal on Split Fiction and Sonic/Shadow, which are download only and now I have room!

Still not sure why Sonic is download only at 22GB?

A portable HDD attached to the dock would solve a lot of this... Play anything downloaded while docked, super fast transfers to the Switch for undocked play.

@Kilamanjaro The marketing info says they are "optimized" for Switch 2, so it will work.

I pulled the trigger on the Samsung 512 for $75... was waiting for the Sandisk to go on sale.

I feel like standard MicroSD cards were fast enough? Can anyone confirm that the "express" speed is actually necessary or even utilized?

I would have also liked the Tina Turner song at some point.
