I appreciate a higher frame rate... but this seems like a game that might have been better off running at 30fps on the Switch 1 if they could have kept the resolution higher.

Or maybe a Quality vs Performance mode?

Still not sure why Sonic is download only at 22GB?

A portable HDD attached to the dock would solve a lot of this... Play anything downloaded while docked, super fast transfers to the Switch for undocked play.

I pulled the trigger on the Samsung 512 for $75... was waiting for the Sandisk to go on sale.

I feel like standard MicroSD cards were fast enough? Can anyone confirm that the "express" speed is actually necessary or even utilized?

I would have also liked the Tina Turner song at some point.

That is even more "inspired" than I expected... the music and dialog are almost the same, as well as vehicle and item design.

Just learned that Bayonetta 3 runs a little smoother on Switch 2... still hoping for a full performance patch before I get back to it, but not holding my breath.

I got this for about $4 used on GameCube... it was simple fun, but did look awful on my LCD HDTV.

Make a sequel with joycon/gyro aiming... and a sequel to TimeSplitters while you're at it.

Just based on the confusion of the different versions, this doesn't seem like a good idea. Just make Overcooked 3.

@BlueMoose Hope you like it... it is fairly difficult in some places, but we loved it and I was thrilled to see it come to Switch after so many years.

I recall Pode being ok... Putty Pals was surprisingly fun and of course It Takes Two.

Looking forward to Split Fiction and Lego Voyagers eventually.

I absolutely love co-op... played the original Biped with my wife... it was ok, but we got a little bored and didn't finish it. We will need to try again and maybe the sequel will be better.

If this were some form of 4K/30 I would understand... but how can this not run at 1080/60 on Switch 2?

That Switch 2 patch is not good looking in my opinion... let another designer take a shot.

SMB3, SMW, and SM64 are all great... put them in any order.

I personally love 3D World, but I have only played it co-op with loved ones, which is fantastic.

Pretty good package honestly... If I were in the market for another/new Switch, and didn't have Wonder already, I would be pretty happy with it.

Considering it's a download game, it would be nice if there were a few options for game choice.

However, may be feasible since Nintendo knows the economy is tightening and will make their money with software sales.

I'm surprised by how many people have played Assault... I always considered it an obscure entry in the series. I guess it's because this is a site with major Nintendo fans.

Mario Party Superstars and Jamboree are generally considered to be on par with the classics... obviously it's subjective by nature.

I get it... but I still question whether or not that is true. A good pointer cursor is more useful in my opinion.

I must admit, I still question the usefulness of this for a device designed to be used on the couch or handheld.

I guess Nintendo and maybe other devs will probably come up with something interesting early on.

That reveal presentation was insanely entertaining.

And I love how anyone thought the GameCube with a handle was "portable", as if you didn't also have a power cable and a/v cables dangling everywhere... and controllers with their cords.

Considering all of the tracks added to MK8D, I'd be fine waiting longer for the next Mario Kart.

The one thing I don't want is additional customization with the Karts... I'm probably in the minority, but I hate trying figure out which "build" works best... I just want to pick my racer and go.

Someone in a different article pointed out the rather prominent gas tank on the karts and the gas station on the course... that seems like a very real potential new mechanic.

Can't wait to see the design of the official Nintendo Mouse Pro.

I also don't see the JoyCon mouse feature being all that useful... but it may be necessary if there are "mouse games" and there is a need to make it technically possible out of the box with just the JoyCon.

I just want Valve to make a new Steam Controller... that thing is awesome.

I was thinking about this game after its absence in the last Indie Direct. I assumed it was just in hiding, which is common these days. I wonder how far along the development was, and if someone could pick it up from salvage and finish it... probably not.

As much as I previously enjoyed the cinema experience, I am actually a fan of the modern home release schedule. Even before COVID I was not finding my cinema experiences to be great. Assigned seating was a huge step in the right direction, but it seemed like projection/picture quality was lacking and ticket costs were going up. Once accustomed, to 4K content at home, movies started looking rather bad, even at the good cinemas near me. Budget showings exist, but then I am sitting in an empty theatre and/or a gross environment, with even worse projection/picture quality.

I now have a new house with a dedicated home theatre room in the basement. Perhaps it's anti-social, but I much prefer to watch any movie in my home theatre. I hate to admit it, but I'm not sure there is anything that would get me into a cinema again.

Yes, I remember movie releases taking forever to come out on VHS. Sometimes even when they became available to rent, they were never really able to be purchased and only came from distributors at $100 - $300 per copy. This was during peak VHS rental. During the DVD area, it seemed pretty consistent for movies to be available for rent/purchase at about 6 months.

@SillyG The encoding for 4K stuff on services like iTunes and Movies Anywhere is pretty good these days. I have watched a few streaming releases on my 120" theatre screen and movies like Wicked look and sound very good (using Apple TV box). I am extremely picky with my audio/video as well. Do the 4K UHD disc releases look and sound better... yes... but it's marginal and most of the population would never notice the difference, especially on a 55 - 80" TV.

Also... $20 to watch a movie with your family is a fraction of the cost of going to the theatre.

These movies have been the very rare example where I expect them to be terrible but they are quite good.

My biggest issue is Sonic's voice because I can ONLY hear Dewey Duck.

There must be Pikmin hiding somewhere...

I don't know much about Shadow... but this is kinda giving me Bayonetta vibes.
