Ys Net's Air Twister, the once-Apple Arcade exclusive rail shooter from veteran game developer Yu Suzuki, dropped a brand new trailer last week showcasing a myriad of features which will be included in the game at launch.
Swooping onto Switch on 10th November, you'll be able to unlock additional modes by acquiring stars and tickets from daily and weekly events — this was a mobile game before, after all.
Modes like Arcade, Boss Rush, and Turbo Mode should be fairly self-explanatory, but there are a couple of more unusual modes to soar through. Stardust sees you defeating waves of enemies within a set time limit, while Tap Breaker sees you breaking cubes by tapping them in numerical order as they multiply in number. There's also Fluffy, which sounds anything but fluffy — you go from playing a 3D shooter to a 2D side-scroller!
There's also an Adventure Map, where you spend your in-game currency to unlock new items, weapons, and outfits.
For a rundown of the other features, check out the details from publisher ININ Games:
Game Features:
- 12 artfully crafted stages with unique and new experiences each time you play. Embark on a fantastic journey, resembling that of Alice down the rabbit hole.
- Over 20 Vanguard creatures and 10 unique bosses to challenge your skills and simple controls for a fun and easy play experience.
- An epic soundtrack by Valensia, a Dutch music composer known for over three decades for keeping the musical rock and opera heritage of Queen's greatest hits alive.
- High replayability by unlocking Challenge Games in the Adventure Map with different modes like Arcade, Turbo, Boss Rush and more!
- Many fantastic Minigames with surprising elements.
Air Twister launches physically and digitally on Nintendo Switch on 10th November. Will you be aiming to pick this up? Shoot your shots in the comments.

Never once heard of this but something about its art style makes me think, "Remaster of a very early PS2 game, like somewhere around Dark Cloud," and I mean that in a good way.
I’m just waiting for World of Demons to escape Apple Arcade jail and come to Switch
Hmm. This has potential
I've been playing the Apple Arcade version of this for months. It's great. Very much like a Panzer Dragoonish arcade game. Lots and lots of fun. The music is made to sound like Queen and adds a quirky epicness to the game.
This looks cool - I may have to check it out. I just maxed out my SD card and transferred to a bigger one, so I'm all set.
I played a bit of this in Apple Arcade. It felt weird. I’d probably get hooked into it if I put the time, but there is something admirable in its weird art style and Queen-like score
I thought that it was a ps2 game from that thumbnail
Definite Panzer Dragoon/Sin & Punishment vibes... might be willing to check it out on sale someday.
Buying a copy on general principle in support of Yu Suzuki. Never been a huge fan of the Space Harrier, but I do enjoy rail shooters. Would like to see Rez Infinite on Switch...someday.
I tried it on apple arcade, I don't liket it, it has too many cut-scenes I think, and the music is kind of bad, also dragon are way cooler than goose 😕
I’m always up for more on-rails shooters until we get a new proper star fox!
I think this looks really cool.
Speaking of Apple Arcade, I know it’s very unlikely but I’m soooo hoping they port over Fantasian someday. I’ve never played it but it looks soooo cool and I love dioramas and RPGs so I have a gut feeling it’s gotta be good.
I’m also very much looking forward to a game NintendoLife covered previously:
Ex-Zodiac
This game reminds me of Sin and Punishment for the Wii and Space Harrier. I might check this game out, due to being an arcade rail shooter fan.
I was sold just on the notion of Space Harrier + rock opera, all courtesy of Yu Suzuki! It’s one of my most anticipated games this year. I can’t wait for my preorder to deliver next month!
Looking forward to this one all ready got it on pre order 😁
Somebody likes Panzer Dragoon. But I love that!
@Magician Rez would be a great fit for switch and cosmic smash Sega just sit on all these awesome IPs
I am down for some Flash Gordon Queen!
Space harrier re-imagined.
Nintendo Please just port Kid Icarus Uprising, it would sell hella units guarantied.... This reminds me of it, as well as panzer dragoon and sin & punishment. One can dream of course...
Hopefully the Switch version doesn't get the Spinal Tap two-word review: "Sh*t Twister"
This looks like a pure old Sega games. İt looks like the Panzer Dragoon too.
