Re: Feature: Our Verdict On Mario Golf: Super Rush's 2.0 Update, Including Ranked Matches And New Donk City

HolyGeez03

Not sure how I feel about the Donk course being all Par 3 holes... but I will check it out tonight.

If the updates keep coming, this will be a great game... as much as I love Mario Golf, I don't play it that often and still the courses are getting old quick.

There needs to be way more Mushroom Kingdom style courses (like the 3DS game)... hopefully they are forthcoming.

Re: Inked: A Tale Of Love To Bring An Artistic Puzzle Experience To Switch

HolyGeez03

I checked the Steam link and the game can not be purchased there... it appears that the devs removed it and plan to re-release it, with improvements... This probably coincides with the Switch release?

It seems like there is more to this story which would make for an interesting article.

Here is an excerpt from a post made by the developer:

"In the last dev story, we covered the initial development and release of Inked. Today we will take a look at how the feedback and reviews after the game’s release prompted the team to deeply analyze the game, and come up with ways to improve it. This postmortem of the game was supposed to be a guideline on how to do better at any future projects, but eventually became the foundation for the new and improved Inked which you are patiently waiting for today."

That Shaolin vs Wutang game looks so bad... but I'm glad people are enjoying it! I do love how each fighter is style-based...

I would love a Bushido Blade style, "one-hit kill" no life-meter weapon fighting game to come to Switch. Even a port of the pretty good Deadliest Warrior games would be fine.

For now, Nidhogg and One Strike is as close as we get?

Re: Review: SnowRunner - A Slow And Steady Off-Road Trucker

If you have any interest in this game and no way (or interest) to play it on a more powerful machine, you should give it a shot.

I play this on PC with a friend who lives across the country now and tag-teaming the missions while chatting via headset is quite enjoyable.

Also, as others have stated... SnowRunner has WAY more things to do than MudRunner.

Re: Poll: Are You Excited About E3 2021?

HolyGeez03

With the internet, we can get game news immediately... see trailers and gameplay videos whenever we want, on our phones... not sure tradeshow events are necessary.

At this point, E3 is just a popular choice of "when do we announce stuff?" And it's popularity was diminishing pre-covid.

Re: Review: Before I Forget - A Poignant Portrayal Of Dementia

This game sounded very interesting and knowing it was a short experience, I downloaded it and played through with my wife.

There was one part toward the beginning that was a clever way to have the player feel what the character is experiencing. I was excited to see what else the game would do...

Unfortunately, after that part... it was a rather predictable story and uninteresting experience.

I am disappointed to say that, in my experience, this game is a very basic point-and-click with a mediocre story element. If it weren't for the "heavy" subject matter at its core, I doubt it would even be noticed by media outlets.
