Aaahhh!!! Real Monsters SNES is the only one that truly has my attention. One of two videogames (the other being Kirby Super Star) that have the honor of being the first ever videogames I played in my life.
I consider it a good licensed game, it at least feels like a game, just a very hard one.
The Genesis version will be a new game for me.
Sorry, as much as I love Rocko's Modern Life, its game is just bad. Maybe if it were Rocko going about and beating the s*** out of anyone in his way to save Spunky from Conglom-o (a platformer beat 'em up if you will. Rocko can already punch in the game, and do a tail swipe) instead of tedious escort mission after escort mission.
I have no comments on GUTS, never played it.
Still, even with the prospect of one of my first ever videogame, I cannot justify getting it physically with the selection of games it is attached to. Let alone for the asking price, I'd rather use it to get the Special Edition of Metroid Prime 4...if it comes to the US.
Everyone is thinking way too much about it. Like I said somewhere else, if the game was truly open-world and the bike was a big part of the game, they would've made a bigger deal out of it or had shown it as such since the game was shown in 2024. We haven't seen enough about the bike and the desert to make the conclusion the whole game is open-world.
Heck, not counting the demos, I'd say we've barely seen enough to determine this is really a Metroid Prime.
I've been waiting forever for the book to be an actual physical one.
I don't care if it doesn't have the new pages, I'm getting this one. Though I hope you can get it on bookstores eventually, thanks once again for not shipping My Nintendo physical goods to Mexico directly.
Even if I'm not getting this one, I'm glad there's no Game-Key Card label on this one.
Remember this game is more of a Koei Tecmo thing than it is Nintendo's. Especially considering that, per usual Hyrule Warriors/Zelda Musou, the game will be published by KT in Japan, making it susceptible to the usual KT shenanigans.
The bigger news for me is that the game is finally available to pre-order on the eShop, revealing the price of the base game and the NS2 Edition upgrade cost. On the Mexican eShop is listed for 1349.00 MXN base game, NS2 Edition Upgrade for 229.00 MXN and NS2 Edition for 1599.00.
It is actually cheaper than the NS2 Edition of Breath of the Wild, not by much but it still means it won't leave me bankrupt if I go directly to the physical NS2 Edition.
If only retailers in Mexico had the option to pre-order the NS2 Edition already, which been confirmed since, what, April? And stores haven't been arsed to update their listings for MP4.
@Markatron84 I haven't played either the DS game or the 3DS one, but I'm pretty sure those voices are part of the appeal of the series, including Miitomo.
I cannot bring myself to hate the Direct that brought back the Virtual Boy to mainstream attention. Besides, it finally gave me a date to justify my Switch 1 purchase: December 4th, 2025. Not to mention, it finally gave me an indie game I was interested in the moment it was announced in Popucom, just wish I had someone to play it with.
@gcunit Probably not. Back then for the 35th Anniversary stuff, they were very open about stuff being limited since the announcements. This time they didn't say it would be limited.
@SillyG I guess they couldn't call it Pokétopia because that's the name of the island in Pokémon Battle Revolution, but I agree Dittopia should've been the name. I guess they didn't call it that because it sounds very close to "Dystopia"
Of all the Pokémon that could get a starring role, I never thought of Ditto. Kind of wish we can also play as a Transforming Mew, remember it can also learn Transform.
@SillyG Considering they said that levels will transfer when you swap riders, I'm gonna guess the characters will have the NFC chip and not the Machines, which would mean the non-Air Riders versions of Dedede, Meta Knight and Waddle Dee most likely will be compatible in Air Riders the same way you can train in Smash a Super Mario series Mario amiibo. The will probably ask you to assign them a Machine, though.
Imagine if they announced compatibility with the Qbby amiibo.
As the owner of a VB missing the kickstand plus 2 copies of Mario's Tennis, Galactic Pinball and Panic Bomber, I'm here for VB Wario Land and Teleroboxer.
Now, If I cannot play docked (which would suck but I understand why) but I can handheld or tabletop modes, that would bring it closer to a Virtual Boy Lite.
My money, for some reason, is on Aero the Acro-Bat 3 or a physical collection of the Aero releases by Ratalaika.
I mean, given all the 90s mascots that have returned (Bubsy, Gex, Glover, Croc), this is the first thing that popped in my mind.
Since I got the game last friday, Capcom vs. SNK 2 is perhaps my most played game in the collection, so I did notice the E. Honda voice bug at the same time I noticed it didn't happen in CVS1.
Haven't played enough of Project Justice to notice the voice bug there and haven't booted up Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper. I should really stop playing the CVS games and give the others their due chance.
No idea if it means anything, but the NES and Famicom NSO app were seemingly updated. The NES app shows it's now on Ver. 7.0.0 and the Famicom one on 7.0.1
@Scposteel the Bill and Ted collection was particularly egregious.
Apart from the fact the games are bad (though I've heard the GB game is the better of the 2), LRG only had the license for 2 years that started running during development. It took them a year and 2 months to release the collection. Yes, somehow an NES and a GB game took them that much time. Which in turn made the collection available only for 10 months before being delisted.
How many people that find the game too hard bought it out of peer pressure, for how cheap it was (despite having no interest in the game itself) and/or therefore "to send a message to big companies"?
I feel in those cases, people should've known what they were getting into before commiting to said purchase.
Having not played any of the GBA games (though I own the DS game), I'm only here for Battle with Doom Dragon, one of the two songs used in Battle Scene / Final Battle (Golden Sun) in the Norfair stage in Smash Bros.
Yesterday I got Capcom Fighting Collection 2, so I'll be playing that.
I also intended to get Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection but I passed on it for now. Maybe in 2 weeks.
Sorry but other than Metroid itself, Metroidvanias aren't my thing, so I'll pass on Silksong and all its hype (which I actually got a bit tired of in the last few weeks). If you do, I hope you enjoy it.
Heads up: The western GBA NSO app was also updated. It didn't add games in the west but changed the boot up sound from the GBA BIOS to a Mario Advance coin, but it shows you the actual GBA BIOS if you move the right stick while the app boots up.
Oh, and button remapping as well.
And for whatever reason, the Japanese N64 18+ app was updated as well, but who knows what they changed.
On the one hand, sure. I'm up for more Capcom vs. SNK (not SNK vs. Capcom, though). Let me play as Mega Man (classic or X), Phoenix Wright, Viewtiful Joe, Blue Mary, Tizoc, Duck King, Mr. Karate and Shiki and I'm al set for CvS 3. Maybe even Bad Box Art Mega Man from Street Fighter X Tekken.
I recently read that Leon S. Kennedy and Mega Man were considered for Capcom vs. SNK 1, but Capcom decided to focus on characters from fighting games. That decision might also be the reason SNK characters such as Ralf Jones and Clark Still from Ikari Warriors aren't playable.
But on the other hand, if Street Fighter V, VI and Garou: City of the Wolves (and Tekken, come to think of it) are anything to go by, I can expect staples of both companies to be DLC or have irrelevant guests.
Now, I don't know if my Switch 1 suffered an issue or if my internet connection started to hate me, but since the weekend I haven't been able to play online (therefore I couldn't partake in the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds online mode) or browse the eShop without getting an error.
I even tried using the system on handheld mode in the room where the modem is and I still got errors. Has anyone else had this issue recently?
Don't have a Switch 2 yet, so I played on Switch 1. Nothing too bad, performance-wise during gameplay.
That said, I'm sorry, but something about it didn't click with me. Just as I feared, Extreme Gears don't feel like the Extreme Gears of Sonic Riders or even those from Zero Gravity (cannot say about Free Riders since I haven't played it).
The main menu looks very reminiscent of Disney Speedstorm, so it's easy to lose where the cursor is. Come to think of it, there are other aspects where it feels similar to Disney's racer but thankfully it doesn't have the individual leveling up system of it.
Finally. No, SEGA! I won't create a SEGA account just to get a piece of DLC that should be in the base game in the first place, in this case the Blue Star (Sonic's Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders). I have had enough of your subscriptions.
I haven't followed much this Replaylee version, but one of my biggest problems with the original version was that expansion of worlds. Is that still a thing in Replaylee?

@Metazoxan Yes, this was confirmed in the direct. You can buy them digitally separately.

Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Finally Gets A Release Date, Open World Confirmed
I have to admit, of all the vehicles Samus could ride, a bike legit never crossed my mind.
But yes, my first thought was that Samus casually became Mach Rider, who is also a woman in case you didn't know.
Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 Bundle Confirmed For Switch, Launching October
I'll probably go with Mario Galaxy 2 digital first, Then, if I can find the physical bundle for a good price, I'll get it.

@Novuscourvous again, it's a log entry about what happened when Gorea destroyed the civilization in the Alimbic Cluster, never happens in-game.
