Re: My Nintendo Store Reveals Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Pre-Order Bonuses & Bundle (UK)

@Pipulitoch yeah over here games sell for around 55 Euros on release day depending on what retailer you buy from. Then the price usually goes down further as time goes on. But the official price that's on the eShop stays 60 which is ultimately what retailers base it on. So if it was 50 Euros to start with it would then be closer to 40 at retailers making it much more affordable.

I wish Nintendo priced more of their lower budget games at €50. Don't get me wrong I love Returns, I actually prefer it over Tropical Freeze, but from the looks of it this is just a bare minumum HD upscale that adds the 3DS content. It shouldn't cost the same as Mario Odyssey. Especially when Prime Remaster is randomly €40 when it actually deserved to cost more.

I would love to get this game but I can't really justify it at €60 when I already have the Wii version.

@JohnnyMind I'm not really a fan of horror either but last Halloween I tried Resident Evil (the remake on Switch) for the first time and absolutely loved it. I love Metroid and Zelda games and as weird as it might sound RE gave me big metroidvania vibes. Just mixed with the survival aspect of limited resources. It has difficulty options too so you can start on easy like I did to get to know the game (I went on to do multiple playthroughs). I highly recommend it.

I'm planning on playing RE4 for the first time this Halloween. I've heard good things so I'm excited to try it out.

I hate how being against censorship of any kind and tampering with the creator's vision puts me in league with Elon Musk and the like.

Stop telling creators to censor and change things in the name of 'representation'. I'm a guy but I play Splatoon as the girl since it's the main character. Same in Metroid games as Samus is obviously a girl. If a game has a non-binary mc I will play as them. I don't care about representation as long as the game is good. Minorities are perfectly capable of doing the same without games being changed by an outside force to fit their needs.

Re: Pokémon Unite Ending Service In Select European Markets Next Year

@Druidsbrook see that's the weird thing. I recently got back into it for about 2 weeks where I played a lot and I didn't see any gacha at all. Just "buy paid currency to get Pokemon or skins, or grind coins to do so for free." The only thing remotely like gambling was a thing where you collect random emblems to change your stats, but this felt more like a fun sidemode and was something you could do for free after every match.

Re: Video: Where Does Mario Kart Go From Here?

@PersianZSR
No, I want them to sell it to us like they did with the BCP. Have a season pass each year that adds new cups and characters. But do it from the start instead of waiting 5 years for it like Deluxe did. Basically build the game around the concept of DLC so that new content can easily be added without being limited by arbitrary restrains such as the cup selection screen not being able to have space for new cups or character costumes not being a thing.

Re: Video: Where Does Mario Kart Go From Here?

@Paulo But if Tour is MK9 that would make it the sequel to MK8 right? So it should have tracks from MK8 which it does not. Instead it's the other way around. MK8 has Tour tracks and refers to it as a past game. There's a reason they ported all the Tour tracks to MK8. It's to have them in a main Mario Kart game. Tour is not Mario Kart 9.

Re: Video: Where Does Mario Kart Go From Here?

Mario Kart 9
-16 Nitro Tracks
-16 Retro Tracks
-Elimination based Battle Mode
-Mission Mode
-A good starting roster
-New and unique items possibly tied to characters like DD
-Constant DLC until it's time for Mario Kart 10

DLC includes
-Every Mario character ever (yes that includes WarioWare) and crossover characters
-Every retro track
-Brand new tracks and crossover tracks

That should about do it. Obviously the game needs to play well and feel different enough from MK8 with even better visuals.
