Re: Video: Where Does Mario Kart Go From Here?

@PersianZSR
No, I want them to sell it to us like they did with the BCP. Have a season pass each year that adds new cups and characters. But do it from the start instead of waiting 5 years for it like Deluxe did. Basically build the game around the concept of DLC so that new content can easily be added without being limited by arbitrary restrains such as the cup selection screen not being able to have space for new cups or character costumes not being a thing.

@Paulo But if Tour is MK9 that would make it the sequel to MK8 right? So it should have tracks from MK8 which it does not. Instead it's the other way around. MK8 has Tour tracks and refers to it as a past game. There's a reason they ported all the Tour tracks to MK8. It's to have them in a main Mario Kart game. Tour is not Mario Kart 9.

Mario Kart 9
-16 Nitro Tracks
-16 Retro Tracks
-Elimination based Battle Mode
-Mission Mode
-A good starting roster
-New and unique items possibly tied to characters like DD
-Constant DLC until it's time for Mario Kart 10

DLC includes
-Every Mario character ever (yes that includes WarioWare) and crossover characters
-Every retro track
-Brand new tracks and crossover tracks

That should about do it. Obviously the game needs to play well and feel different enough from MK8 with even better visuals.

Re: Best Zelda Games Of All Time

Pretty good list but all the different versions really clutter it up. Also Link's Awakening DX being below the original doesn't make any sense. I think it would be better if all the versions were grouped to only list the best one.

Re: Soapbox: 20 Years On, It's About Time These Pokémon Games Got Switch Remasters

XD is my favourite Pokemon game so I'd love for these to come to Switch but unfortunately I don't see it happening. Their existence is barely acknowledged by TPC.

The potential for a new game in this series is huge though. Double battles are the official battle format for competitive, yet the games are 99% single battles. Having a game be fully about double battles while using current mechanics would be such a nice change of pace and actually help more people get into VGC.

@dartmonkey I never said anything about ruining the game. I didn't intent to come off like I was attacking anyone so I apologize if I gave off the wrong impression. I understand it didn't actually affect the score and was put there as more of a joke. Still having something listed as a con it's not strange to think it might negatively affect the score at least in a very minor way.

To be honest, my inital comment was more of a joke as well and I didn't mean to make a big deal out of this. I still stand by my opinion though that complaining about a characters voice (something they can't change, well they could but you know...) when there's 50 other characters to choose from is a bit silly.

@Munchlax I love them both. If only one could make it I would have picked Diddy but I'm glad they both got in and Funky is a more exciting addition to me.

@progx reviewing something you dislike is strange indeed as it puts you in a negetive mindset from the start. In this funky case though it's a nonsensical argument that's completely subjective to the reviewer. It has no business being part of the review and affecting the score.
