I have a hard time mustering contempt for scalpers when there are people willing to pay those prices. And though I might think it's a poor use of their money, it's ultimatly their money.

Amazing sets but not anything I can justify spending that much money on.

Ooh, the centered panel just looks off to me. Guess I haven't forgotten what a GB cart looks like. The indentation on the corner is for a tab that slides into place when you power on the Game Boy.

There was a certain segment that would be upset at any change made to this game, no matter what. NPCs, the desert, the motorcycle, anything.

@Krlozgod Right. But my point was Nintendo entered the video game space, and excelled in it, under him. It proves that a president doesn't have to be a gamer for the company to do well in gaming.

Whether a president or CEO is a gamer themselves is arguably irrelevant. Hiroshi Yamauchi was not a gamer at all.

I don't really mind the "censorship," but it does seem a bit silly to change this image when you have all those cheap "hentai" games on the eShop.

My brother had this on the Dreamcast (the best version, apparently). I've always wanted to play it.

@Bunkerneath I 100%'d it a year or so back, so I don't think there ever was a problem.

Thought the score for Yoshi's Story was too high and discovered that I was part of the problem. I'd given it a 7 for some reason.

There are times when a new objective appears on the map, and the next time you open the map it forces the map to pan to that location for a moment before relinquishing control. It takes about five seconds, and it's not that big a deal.

MacKenzie, when he radios in, takes about that long to say his line and he's gone. The game doesn't pause; control is never taken from the player; it barely counts as an interruption of any kind. It's far less annoying than what was already a minor inconvenience with the map objectives, yet it's all some people want to talk about.

Certain people decided months before the game came out that it would be terrible, and there's no changing their minds. Play it for yourself if you're interested. I think it's a great game.

So that eliminates the glitch that renders the tires on Mario Bros. Circuit intangible, I take it?

First time in a while I haven't heard of any of the games on the worst-of list.

I've put nearly 400 hours into Mario Kart World, but Metroid Prime 4 is the game that makes me really happy I bought a Switch 2.

Despite its better art style, the Japanese cover lacks the color and the scene of the NA cover (and looks too similar to the previous five Japanese covers).

Retro pulled a double Flaahgra with the Carvex, didn't they? I personally love missable scans--not too many, mind--but I always end up playing these games over and over, so if I miss one I'll get it on a future playthrough.

@CANOEberry Things like what? That its original lack of western localization wasn't the due to the contempt of colonial-minded Japanese businessmen for people outside their own country? Because I would have, if I had seen someone claim that it was.

Please take the time to read what I said. I never said that adding language options was a bad thing. I never even said that it wasn't newsworthy. (What counts as "newsworthy" on an entertainment site, anyway?) Instead, I took issue with @John_Deacon's insinuation that the @Dman10's opinion was the reflection of an oppressor mindset. It's baseless and it's offensive.

Started my hard mode playthrough of MP4 yesterday morning. In true Metroid Prime fashion, this game gets better the more you play it.

Time to post another comment on the best-of list for my favorite series. Hrm, hrm, hrm. What to say, what to say?

I still haven't finished MP4. I think I'll need a second playthrough, on hard mode, before I can rate it.

I've recently come to the decision that, not only is the original Metroid still a really good game, but it's better than its remake, Zero Mission.

I'll contribute to the Other M appreciation. Solid game with a terrible story and storytelling.

I've given 10/10 scores to Super, Prime, Prime 2, Fusion, and Dread. (Prime Trilogy, too, but that's a compilation and shouldn't be on this list. Neither should MP: Remastered.) Anyway, at least 5 10/10 scores. What an amazing series.

So are there legitimate reasons to hate LRG, or do we just resent the fact that niche products aimed at collectors necessarily come with high price tags?
