@Retrohero Granted, but we're still operating within certain confines that wouldn't exist for an all-new game.
More than that, I suspect Nintendo's idea of an OoT remake would hew closer to a visual and audial remaster than a remimagining, given the company's conservative nature. Less along the lines of FFVII Remake/Rebirth than one might hope.
But I could be wrong, and maybe this will be something worth getting excited for. Actually, given the existence of the faithful-to-a-fault 3DS remake, a more worthwhile remake this year might be more likely than I'm assuming.
2026 continues the trend of good-but-not-phenominal releases for the Switch 2, then. I love my S2, but I can totally understand why someone would pass on it, at least for the time being. And that's setting economic issues aside.
I personally think this would have been better kept as a surprise in the film. My issue is with the people online acting like children now that it's been revealed.
@Aki77 Of course people don't look at the posters! What were you even thinking?
Sarcasm out of the way now, the direction this conversation has gone makes it clear that continuing to follow it would be a very, very poor use of my time. Cheers.
@Yosher But it's not just some rando on Twitter; it's the official Mario Galaxy Movie account. @Damo made a great point: complaining about this is almost as silly as complaining about the what appears on the poster at the theater.
I played 20 hours of Golden Sun in college, as I was finally dipping my toes into the RPG genre. I started to think that maybe I didn't like RPGs. Then I played my first Final Fantasy and realized, no, I just don't like Golden Sun.
But yeah, that's Golden Sun in a nutshell: the game so boring it'll make you doubt an entire genre.
I didn't care for the Mario Lego we already have until my cousin gave me the Peach's Castle set for Christmas. I had a lot of fun building it, the buildable figures are really nicely designed, and it has a lot of interactive elements that would be great if I were a kid.
I had trouble getting into the BN collection and stopped about halfway through the second game. They're fine games, but not exactly must-play. So I imagine I'll be skipping this release.
The Legend of Zelda was the first game I bought new with my own money. It was the 90s, and it was the re-release. No gold cart, but it came with all the goodies (that map!) and I took good care of it. Then I traded it away, because I was a kid with little money.
I'll probably get the cardboard model. As for games, Wario Land is a must-have for me. One of Nintendo's best series, and it's a shame that they've dropped it.
I still havent played my copy of DQVII on 3DS. I'll be interested when some DQ fanatic inevitably posts a video going over the differences between the two.
The online discourse around this game has been so childish since months before it was released, it's no wonder we have people calling it an "objectively bad game."

We're complaining about "spoilers" over an image posted to an official social media account.
Get a grip, people.

Horii doesn't know a lot about the English language if he thinks it's simple.
@gcunit We referred to Japanese import Pokemon cards that way as kids. Didn't know any better.
Re: "I Need A Union Contract To Feel Safe" - Mega Man 11 Voice Actor Not Returning For Dual Override
Shame, I guess. But what are the odds now that the role goes to someone less concerned about the use of their voice in AI?
@MegaVel91 That's not the case. Read the guy's post.

Great game but I never completed it on Madhouse because you can't skip cutscenes, for some reason.
Re: Poll: Will You Be Getting Pokémon FireRed Or LeafGreen On Switch?
It's tempting, NGL. Better than dropping $150 on a used cart.
Re: Anniversary: The Legend Of Zelda Turns 40 Today - How Did You First Play It?
The Legend of Zelda was the first game I bought new with my own money. It was the 90s, and it was the re-release. No gold cart, but it came with all the goodies (that map!) and I took good care of it. Then I traded it away, because I was a kid with little money.

Bob, or Kevin. Can't decide.

Easy. Blastoise.
Re: Poll: So, Do You Prefer Hollow Knight Or Silksong?
