@Bolt_Strike I largely agree with you, except for your first statement: "We know exactly what those people are thinking." Maybe you do. I don't know. But there are a LOT of people who think they understand Trump's supporters but are wildly off the mark.

Doesn't make his supporters right. But you can't deal with someone you don't understand. There's a lot of unhealthy polarization in this country right now, coming from both sides, and it won't get any better until people learn to talk with one another.

@HeadPirate I have Facebook friends posting after the election how they can't believe that half the country are hateful, evil people, and I'm just thinking, maybe if you took some time to understand their views and concerns you wouldn't assume they're all hateful and evil. You wouldn't agree with them, I expect, but you'd at least understand them.

(By "you" I mean my Facebook friends, of course.)

To me, the Mario & Luigi games are characterized by their tedious combat, long-winded characters with unfunny dialog, and annoying, sometimes revolting, character designs.

I finally played Superstar Saga recently, and one thing that really stood out to me was the all the ugly character faces with their ridiculous expressions drawn across the top of every building in the town. It felt like a sad attempt to convince the player that the game was funny when it wasn't.

@sketchturner Hard to answer. I normally view stories in games as motivation for what I'm actually doing in the game, as the stories are usually not very good in and of themselves. XBC has a decent story and XBCX's is a little worse, but the story beats at least helped me understand why I was going to this place/fighting this dude/searching for this whatever. Not sure how well that would work if I'd skipped the stpry entirely.

Still, the XBC games definitely place gameplay above story, so you might still enjoy just battling and exploring the world. The combat system is very good.
