Re: Poll: Are You Ready To Move On From The Switch?

Dr_Corndog

I don't really have much of a backlog unless you count NSO games. But I'll be ready for the Switch U 360 whenever it comes. I mean, MP4 is probably going to be a cross-platform launch release, and that'll be plenty of incentive to get the new hardware.

Old-school boss fights can be annoying not because of the difficulty, but of the tedium. They often force you to replay a large chunk (or the whole game) just to get another attempt. NES Mother Brain is a great example.

Zero Mission's MB is far more manageable. Stock up on upgrades and it's fine.

EDIT: Changed "but" to "not."

Re: The Second Unofficial Zelda Cookbook Has Already Smashed Its Kickstarter Goal

I have a friend at work who made several BotW dishes that looked identical to the in-game models. He even made his own Goron spice with a replica bottle and label. He let us sample some of his creations, and they were delicious.

Wish I could share some pictures, but he's a private individual and doesn't like to share his work outside of a close circle of friends and family and, occasionally, coworkers.

Re: Talking Point: Which Games Were Just The Perfect Length?

Dr_Corndog

Chrono Trigger is my immediate response to this question.

Metroid games are usually of perfect length, but Zero Mission is the exception. The point where it starts to drag is the point where the style of gameplay shifts dramatically, so maybe it's more of a problem of quality than quantity.

I've seen BotW and TotK mentioned a couple times already, and I agree: both games are far too short!
