Switch 2 launch title.

I've been assuming MP4 would be a part of this Direct since it was announced. Wouldn't surprise me if this is the game's "real" debut, since what we saw last year wasn't much more than "Yup, it's Metroid Prime!"

Sounding like broken record now, but I would've voted for Europe #2 had it not been for the blue box.

@Toastmaster I wish that were true across the board. The Switch requires an adapter for a wired connection, so more people will use wifi to play online. You really notice it when you face them on a game like Smash.

Still use a wired connection for Smash, folks.

I played the mess out of Tony 4, but I've barely touched Tony 3. I'll have a lot of new stuff to experience when this remaster comes out.

Tony 4 had a classic mode that let you play levels with a 2-minute timer, but I hope this remake has the free-roam mode, too.

Also hoping Eddie returns as a skater, but I'm not holding my breath.

For $130, I fully expect the collector's edition to include a cloning kit so I can grow my own Tony Hawk.

The garbage online play kept my ranking at a 9 instead of the 10 I'd like to give.

Both are boring, but at least the NA one isn't covered in haphazardly placed text.

MGS is still an unforgettable experience despite being kind of clunky to play. That's just how great it is.

@-wc- I'm sure it would help sales. But I don't know how much, and I haven't played SoH.

But the trend is launch games usually do better due to limited selection and adopters wanting some games to play on their new system. Remember Red Steel?

@-wc- I remember SSX doing really well because it was just about the only good game at the PS2's launch.

Hoping for a bold new direction. You play as a Mr. Mime, hiding and fleeing from trainers out to catch you. And when one spots you, you run by shouting "Mime! Mime! Mime!" into the Switch 2 microphone. The louder you shout, the faster you run.

Iterative sequels are great when you can buy a whole collection of them for $20. They were a lot less great when you had to pay $40 (in 90s money!) for one of them, then take it home and realize it wasn't that different than the one you played last year.

I've been wondering for years how there can be such an abundance of games on all platforms and the business remain profitable for all developers. I feel like we're watching a bubble burst right now.

Would probably put World and MoD at the bottom of I'd played them enough. VB would probably rank fairly high.

Seriously, my favorite of these is Mario's Tennis for VB, simply because it's the only VB game I've played on original hardware, and I don't like sports games generally.

Hard to score. The retro games are still great, and they've added some real bangers lately. But online play for modern games is really lacking.

Resi 4 remake. Put it off for two years but it's finally time.

Maybe the best game on the GBA app so far. I've been waiting for this so I could replay it.

Save it for the fall. Give me some time to play the games I own and to save my money.

Mechanical depth. Every Mario Kart since Double Dash has felt a little shallow.

Trades restricted to friends? I'm fine with that.

Only trade cards of the same rarity? I'm out at that point. And never mind the rest that crap about "trade tokens" or whatever.

I was always a player first and collector second with the Pokemon TCG, and this is why. Well, that, and playing the game is so dang fun.

Haven't played Balatro, but I support this PSA. Indie games are where it's at these days.

People freak out about AI images, but this book exemplifies why the panic is overblown. Its big, obvious selling point is that it is hand-drawn. The whole thing is made by a person. People enjoy and appreciate art made by other people. We don't have to worry about AI art "taking over" because too few people will be willing to spend money on it.

Not the choice I'd make, but calling it "dismissive" is a bit much.

Any quibbles about the blow mechanic are minor enough to not warrant a mention, let alone two very forced paragraphs. I'll take it as a testament to the original game's greatness, though.

Watch it turn out that all of these "leaks" are fakes meant to distract us, and Nintendo's next system is literally just two Gamecubes duct-taped together.

Both TTT and RotK on Gamecube are great games.
