Re: Soapbox: Where The Heck Is Fallout 3 On Switch?

@Jamie64326 Yes, but otherwise they're very similar. They're both open-world western RPGs; they use the same system for determing character stats and perks; they obviously have the same setting, but also similar narrative structures.

One of the big differences is that F3 combat takes place in real time by default, but even then it's still based on the same mechanics as in F2. You can even revert to more turn-based combat in F3 if you wish.

I got PBB yesterday and it's a blast and a joy.

@rex_rex It's moderately challenging, but I often hear people talk about games that I consider fairly easy as if they're hard, so maybe my perspective is skewed. But it's a game that rewards you if you play well, i.e., you can finish a level easily enough, but completing it quickly is much more challenging. High ceiling, as they say.

I want to love DK94, but I can't. Mediocre platforming and mediocre puzzling do not combine to make a great hybrid. As was said about Mario vs. DK in its recent review, DK94 is "fine."

@quinnyboy58 Yeah, too high.

@Anachronism Finally played Ori 1 a few weeks ago and I have to agree. Beautiful game, but a chore to play. I quit about halfway. The sequel is apparently better, but there are too many other games for me to worry about it.
