Didn't watch the Game Awards but I can guarantee this was better than anything else announced.

Smash 6 needs an online mode that doesn't break the game. Ultimate's online was hamstrung by an old engine, so Smash 6 will need to be built from the ground up. This will require stripping down the roster significantly. But this is also an opportunity to redesign some characters who have needed it for a while. Done right, Smash 6 would be a more focused, better balanced game that is just as fun to play online as it is off.

Zelda II is amazing.

Castlevania II is busted but still really cool.

Last time I played OoT my Scarecrow's Song was "Old Town Road." But Saria's Song is the number-one "built-in" song.

I'll probably play this again someday, but at the time it was the most disappointing Zelda I'd ever played, easily.

@nessisonett Is that what they call it? I feel the same way at my work, despite my accomplishments. When I get into a conversation with colleagues on a subject that's outside my field and main areas of interest, I'll sometimes nod along to avoid revealing that I don't know something that I honestly shouldn't be expected to know.

Hard choice between SMRPG and TYD.

Playing DOOM 2016 on my PC. Finally got a copy of Super Mario Bros. 2 for my NES, so I hope to play that, too.

Stuff it inside my sock and use it as a foot warmer. Eventually I'll buy a second Switch so I can warm both my feet.

@Banjo- The SNES and GBA reimaginings are consistently among the best tracks in MK8. BC3 is the most exciting track in this wave to me.

The Mario movie was fun, but a Zelda movie needs to tell a real story. Recent Zelda games make me strongly doubt that will happen.

I just want to see games use amiibo in interesting ways, but that ship has sailed.

@vio Both are mostly downhill tracks with a cannon just past the starting line. Both have similar hairpins around crevasses, too.

Good but not great selection. DK Jungle feels redundant after DK Summit. No new tracks, no Wario Colusseum. Wii Rainbow Road is great, though, and SNES Bowser Castle 3 is exciting.

Now this is a sweet update.

Strip down the roster and build the next game from the ground up. And give it a functional online mode.

It'd have to be one of the minor/joke characters for me. None of the story-centric characters are interesting that I can recall.

I appreciate seeing my favorite Queen song in the subheading.

Above all, they need to fix the lack of Metroid Prime 4.

MGS, MGS2, and MGS3 are straight-up some of the best games ever made. So calling this a 7/10 is really a "could've, should've" situation. But if you've never played these before, then $60 for these games and a bunch of extras is still money well spent.

The sad thing is it actually looks pretty good from the trailer, but it's SUCH a Cuphead rip-off that it just makes you want to play Cuphead instead.

I listened to their Inhuman Rampage album around 2007. I thought it was just a novelty that I'd get tired of quickly, but I ended up giving it several spins.

Kind of ironic that the criticisms stem mostly from features added to the game to increase its perceived value. Increasing the irony is the fact that Sonic 3, a shorter game with fewer features, retailed for the same price in 1994 and received universal praise.

@GooseLoose1 Nah, Sonic has had some legitimately bad games. I say that as a Sonic fan sonce the early 90s.

Not bothered about the quality of the co-op. It was bad in NSMB, and I wasn't looking forward to it here, either.

No review or Switch codes yet? This doesn't bode well for the Switch release.

MUCH better than the sterile look that she (and the other Mario characters) have been encumbered with for years now. I hope it's permanent.

I become less fond of Disney the more they gobble up companies and IP.

I buy physical Switch games whenever possible, but for entirely impractical reasons. So I might buy a digital-only Switch U.

I want it to be Game Sack, though it definitely won't be.

@TheAbsol I'm guessing you meant to say "Wii?" Because after your comment I spent ten minutes trying to play Double Dash on my Switch, but I never could get the disc to fit.

Seriously, though, the statement you made is correct. I don't need to play Gamecube games on my Wii, and I don't need to play Switch games on the Switch U. That's not to say backwards compatibility wouldn't be a positive. It's just not essential.

I don't care if it's BC with purchased games, because I can always play those on my Switch. But all Switch online apps should immediately roll over, retaining all games released up to this point.

I've placed second twice. I started playing a week after it came out, so I have some catching up to do.

I just hope this is available for the Switch 2 at launch.

Some older games are an acquired taste. I didn't care for the original F-Zero, never having played it back in the day, until F-Zero 99 awakened my appreciation (love?) for it.

Nice to see that no one is immune to the wonders of Super Metroid, though, even those so misguided when it comes to Zelda games.
