I was ill last week, so didn't get a chance to play much of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation on Evercade. Hopefully I can do more this weekend. I also downloaded #Drive Rally on GOG. It's a fun-enough arcade rally game. On Switch, I will be playing Stitch. I should get the award for 365 daily puzzles today. I'm also tempted to play Super Mario Sunshine for the first time in 20 years! Enjoy your weekends.
My copy of Tomb Raider Collection 2 for the Evercade arrived, so I'm going to dive into The Last Revelation. I had it back on the Dreamcast, but don't remember much about it. I'm also playing Mario's Picross on NSO, Sceptre of Baghdad on my Spectrum and D-Generation on Switch.
I completed Digseum on Steam last night, and VVVVVV on Switch during the week,so I'm between games. I have started playing Starluster on Evercade, but need something meatier to sink my teeth into.
I'm still playing the Croc remaster and Sn0 on PC. As for the Switch, I'm continuing to play Stitch every day, and I'm working through games in my backlog. Not sure what I'm going to play next, but Disaster Report 4 is looking tempting.
I've been ill for the past few days, so don't expect much gaming time. I've managed to start playing the Croc remaster, which I'm enjoying so far, though. I also completed Spilled during the week. That's a cracking little indie game, albeit very short. For some strange reason, I want to return to MK8. Not sure what could have put me in the mood for that...
I gave in and switched to Bulletstorm last weekend, so will be continuing with that. It's not the best FPS I've ever played, but kicking people into cacti is a fun way to pass time.
Aside from that, I will continue with Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Stitch and Sn0. The latter is rapidly becoming one of my favourite games. Score chasing has definitely hooked me. I just need to find ways to chain better combos together.
I'm trying to clear some of my backlog on Switch, so am currently playing Steam world Dig. But Bulletstorm keeps clamouring for my attention, so I might play some of that instead.
Also playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure and Sn0 on PC, and a bit of Wii Sports Resort.
I have been playing a lot of Hello Kitty Island Adventure and Sn0 on PC, but still found time to finish Cat Quest 3 on Switch this week. It's a bit different to the earlier entries, but mostly in positive ways. It felt a little more tightly designed, was shorter but still packed a lot in. I'm currently playing Grid Autosport. Once I finish my current season I can enter the Legends tournament, so I think I'm close to the end of this game.
We have friends coming over today, so gaming time is limited. When I get the chance, though, I will be playing Cat Quest 2 and the new Tokyo Xtreme Racer. I had Tokyo Highway Challenge on Dreamcast, so I am thrilled to see the series back.
I got Red Dead Redemption on Switch recently, so will try that when I finish Cat Quest.
I f8nished knitting the Christmas present I was working on, so can focus on gaming over Christmas. I'm hoping to get a The Spectrum and relive some of my youth.
Until then, I'm playing Luma Island on PC, Daze Before Christmas on Evercade and Stitch on Switch.
I'm still rushing to finish my knitting project, but hope to get some time for gaming. I have been messing around with Endless Ocean: Luminous over the week.
I'm also getting into the seasonal spirit with Daze Before Christmas on the Evercade.
Oh, and I'll no doubt do some more Forza Horizon 4 Lego Valley.
My gaming time will be limited this weekend as I foolishly decided to knit a Christmas present for one of my relatives, and I'm now massively behind schedule. So mostly I will be playing with yarn.
When I do get to game, though, I'll be playing Astroblast on the 2600, Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles on Switch and Forza Horizon 4: Lego Valley on PC.
I finished Echoes of Wisdom last week. I didn't fully complete everything, but was happy with what I did achieve. I enjoyed it, and may well revisit one day.
This weekend I'll be playing Forza Horizon 4's Fortune Island DLC, and maybe heading to Lego Valley. I've also started Rime on the Switch. The frame rate stutters noticeably at times, but never enough to ruin anything, so I am happy playing that.
I'm still playing Echoes of Wisdom. I keep focusing on side quests and looking for the smaller rifts, which I find more fun than the main ones. It's very enjoyable, though.
I'm also driving around Fortune Island on Forza Horizon 4, playing the recent-ish Haunted House remake by Atari and mopping up Old School Racer.
I'm playing Old School Rally, which I've nearly finished. Just mopping up the achievements. It's a great game inspired by thr early Colin McRae Rally games on PS1. Perhaps a little easy, but I'm not complaining.
Aside from that, I'll play a bit more Echoes of Wisdom and Astro Bot. I'm enjoying both games, but taking my time with them so I don't burn out.
So, I gave in and bought Echoes of Wisdom. Legacy of Kain will just have to wait.
I'm also progressing on Yakuza: Like A Dragon. And I have every multilayer achievement for Forza Horizon 4 that I'm interested in (so basically excluding the ones that need Playground games or Eliminator), so I might put that on hold.
My retro fix this week comes from Moon Shuttle on Arcade Archives, so I'll be playing that along with Stitch, Forza Horizon 4 and Yakuza: Like A Dragon.
I'm also playing a bit of Blood Omen:Legacy of Kain. Since it's basically Zelda with vampires, I'm holding off Ecoes of Wisdom for now. But I'm really looking forward to getting that soon.
I have spent an alarming amount of time playing Night Driver on Atari 2600 this week. I had played it before on various collections, and really didn't like it. But playing it with a paddle controller makes a lot of difference, and I'm now trying to get the best runs possible.
I'm also playing more Yakuza: Like A Dragon, Stitch and, hopefully I'll find time to start Mario vs Rabbids.
I finished Emio this week. I thought it was really good. The story had emotional impact I wasn't expecting, and the main characters were developed well. I thought I was going to really dislike a couple of them, but they grew on me as the story unfolded. I think the game's biggest issue was that people thought it was a horror game. Certain parts are horrific, yes, but it doesn't really fit into the genre. My only real gripe is that I won't want to play it again for a long time because the ending will stick with me so long. So with that done, I'm now playing Tomb Raider 2 on Evercade, along with Stitch, Breakout and Forza Horizon 4.
I'm really enjoying it so far. The dialogue is good and most of the characters are interesting. I'm having fun trying to solve the mystery before the main characters, but that mostly involves creating increasingly wild theories.
I'd say it's a 9/10 for me at this point, but I'll hold off voting until I actually finish the game.
I'm still playing Record of Lodoss War on the Dreamcast. It's been a bit of a roller coaster. I got stuck on the first major boss as he is able to stun lock me. Since beating him, I've found an item to help prevent that in future. I also understand the blacksmith feature more, so my weapons and armour are more suited to my play-style. It's a good game, but it gets stupidly hard in places and doesn't always explain its concepts well. Hopefully I'll finish it, though.

I am currently playing Record of Lodoss War on the Dreamcast. It's a dungeon crawler ARPG in the style of Diablo. When I'm not playing that, I'll be doing more seasonal stuff on Forza Horizon 4, daily challenges on Stitch and pootling around Chicago in Watchdogs.
I have a busy weekend ahead, as I am hoping to get some writing done. When I do get time for gaming, though, I shall carry on with Forza Horizon 4. I decided not to go for the Encore achievement, which will be impossible to obtain soon. It requires winning games on the Playground events and I just don't enjoy them.
Aside from that, I am playing Balatro, Jane Austen's 8-bit Adventure, Dragon Quest Builders and Stitch.
I'm still dipping into Nintendo World Championship: NES Edition and Stitch. On top of that, I've been playing Dragon Quest Builders, Rush Rally 3 and Forza Horizon 4.
I finished The Sinking City last week. As a fan of Lovecraft's fiction, I enjoyed the setting and basic plot. There's also a great moment towards the end where the character discovers something that makes you rethink every decision made up to that point. But then you get a choice of 3 endings, all of which felt a bit flat. Shame. I'll probably still get the sequel when it comes out, though.
This weekend I will be playing Nintendo World Championship: Nes edition, Forza Horizon 4, Old School Rally and, perhaps, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.
I'm getting close to finishing The Sinking City. I've enjoyed the story for the most part, and enjoy the detective elements such as researching addresses in public records.
Annoyingly, I chose to play this on Xbox and realised I've missed one of the achievements.
I'm also dipping in to Forza Horizon 4, and just finished the original Moto Racer.
On Switch, I'm ploughing on with Stitch, mostly just the daily puzzles.
I reached the credit sequence on ACNH, so might take a break from that now. Or start the home designer DLC.not sure yet.
I also downloaded Forza Horizon 4 for an insanely discounted price on Steam. I intend to try to obtain the achievements related to the Playlists before they become unobtainable at the end of next month.
Beyond that, I've started playing The Sinking City. I've struggled to stay invested with story-driven games recently, but I'm hoping the Lovecraft angle will keep me interested.
More ACNH, Stitch and Potions: A Curious Tale for me.
I'm also diving into Power Wash Simulator when I want to zone out.
I did start playing The Witcher 3, but I'm making very slow progress. I might put that on hold for a bit. Real life has thrown some curve balls at me recently, so I'm finding it hard to get absorbed by a game's story like I normally would. I definitely want to play through it in full this year, though.
I'm still playing ACNH and Stitch every day. I realised I was a bit harsh on Xenoblade Chronicles last week, so will go back to that at some point. I've been a bit cranky this past week or so, and it's made it harder to enjoy games. However, I did enjoy playing through A Moose Lost In The Woods on PC. I'm starting to feel better, and feeling eager to play Witcher 3, Lego City Undercover or Elden Ring. Hopefully I can start one of them.
Why on earth would anyone want a Mido minifigure? The guy is a walking stereotype and the only thing worse than him in that part of OOT is the Great Deku Tree's dialogue. (In my opinion).
As for what I'd like to see: given Lego like their kits to be playsets, why not have a buildable dungeon from the original? Add minifigures for a handful of enemies and it could be both a diorama or playset.
I am still playing ACNH mainly. I am unsure whether I'll continue with Xenoblade Chronicles as I find Reyn's voice really annoying and the characters won't shut up when fighting! Instead, I am playing Power Wash Simulator and Rush Rally 3.
@Mana_Knight I struggled with that rehearsal, too. The key to getting enough gems is that you can actually start climbing/increasing altitude earlier than you think you should be able to. So you can get some really steep climbs in between columns of obstacles once you perfect it. Then it's just a case of memorising the best path.
I'd been hoping to play the Arcade Archives release for their 10th anniversary this weekend. Sadly, Hamster decided to celebrate their incredible feat by not releasing the game in the west. I realise that's probably Namco's fault rather than Hamster's, but still annoying.
So, instead, I shall carry on with ACNH and Potions: A Curious Tale, along with starting Xenoblade Chronicles and getting my retro fix from the NSO release of Alleyway.
I'm expecting another stressful week ahead, so my gaming will be focused primarily on the relaxed atmospheres of ACNH and Potions: A Curious Tale.
I also fished out my Megadrive Mini 2 last night and played some Outrun. Not exactly relaxing, but cruising the Highway while listening to Splash Wave is, at the very least, nostalgic.
I am splitting my time between a return to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Endless Ocean Luminous and Potions: A Curious Tale. It should be a very laid-back, peaceful gaming experience this weekend. I have a stressful week ahead, so this should be just what I need.
@Diogmites I have started Extraction Point, which picks up immediately after the first game ends. I can understand why the DLC suffered in comparisons to Modern Warfare. Between the AI and the way firefight become engulfed in smoke and dust, though, I find a lot to enjoy with this. I realised I was rushing through, though, so I'm going to step away for a few days and come back to then when I'm in the mood for some meaty FPS combat.

I hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (7th September)
@Anti-Matter thanks for the comprehensive explanation. The game looks intriguing, but sadly also something I would be terrible at.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (7th September)
@Anti-Matter is MaiMai DX Buddies + a dance game, too? I assume so from the artwork, but the character design left me wondering.

I'm mainly playing Emio, Balatro, Berzerk (Enhanced Edition) and Sonic and Sega Allstars Racing.
Re: Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club Is Out Next Week, Will You Be Getting It?
I tried the demo and liked it, so I pre-ordered.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (17th August)
I'm also playing the final week of Forza Horizon 4 seasonal events, along with Watchdogs and Stitch.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (10th August)
I am currently playing Record of Lodoss War on the Dreamcast. It's a dungeon crawler ARPG in the style of Diablo. Given its age, the game is a bit clunky in places, and the lack of loot drops means it doesn't maintain the constant sense of progress the genre offers these days, but I'm still enjoying it.

I finished The Sinking City last week. As a fan of Lovecraft's fiction, I enjoyed the setting and basic plot.
Re: ICYMI: Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition Includes A Really Cool Profile Feature
I picked Road Fighter. I prefer the NES version over the arcade version, it's that good in my opinion.
It was nice to see such an extensive list.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (13th July)
I'm getting close to finishing The Sinking City. I've enjoyed the story for the most part, and enjoy the detective elements such as researching addresses in public records.

Aside from my usual answers of ACNH and Stitch, I am playing Forza Motorsport and Moto Racer.
I also picked up the 1980 classic Rogue in the Steam sale, so will be messing around with that and dying repeatedly.
Also, I see we've had another week without an Arcade Archives release. Sad times.
Re: Review: NeoSprint (Switch) - Atari's Pricey But Revved-Up Retro Romp
@Agamembar that game was by Gaelco. It's available on Evercade, but I haven't seen it anywhere else.
