I am playing more Breath of the Wild this weekend. I'll break it up with some time on the more action-oriented Blackwind on PS5.

Incidentally, I tried the demo for the new Alone in the Dark game on PS5. It certainly raises some interesting story questions for the main game. I should have finished BOTW before that comes out in October.

I'm still trying to play Breath of the Wild, but wanted to finish my playthrough of Death Stranding first. I just need to clear a few more orders, find some memory chips and fabricate the remaining items and I am free to roam Hyrule without looking guiltily at my backlog.

I also tried Nobody Lives Under The Lighthouse. The first hour is great as the tension slowly builds. And then it got weird. And a bit boring. It's a shame that there's a game on Dreams on PlayStation that tells a similar story in a much better way.

I started the weekend with Quantum Storm, which was a mistake. I usually love breakout-style games. But this... never before have I been so totally enraged and utterly bored by the same game. It's so slow! You can speed it up, but that just makes it even harder to position the bat for the correct bounce.
So I took out my frustration on Crysis 2.

I'm continuing with Dreamlight Valley, mostly. The current season ends after next weekend, so there will be a fresh star path and new unlockable stuff. Until then I'm trying to stockpile things so the path is a little easier.

Other than that I'm playing Forza Horizon 2, along with Crysis and V-Rally 4 on the Switch. I also enjoyed Assault, the latest Arcade Archives game. It's nice to see Namco releasing games that are more obscure than the usual batch we see in their Namco Museum collections.

@steventonysmith I think it's because other life sims do, so it's become a staple of the genre. But maybe it's supposed to break up how you perform tasks, so you don't get people grinding away at the same task continuously for hours.
I assume the breakable tools in Animal Crossing serve the same purpose, but that's just a guess.

I'm still playing Dreamlight Valley, and have almost finished the Star Path for this month already. I think there's only one more character to recruit until the DLC arrives, too.
I'm also enjoying Splatoon 3 and, on the Xbox, Forza Horizon 2. The latter is still enjoyable, but I constantly lose connection to the server, so the multilayer aspect is a no-go.

@sanderev I see your point, especially with Gameloft's history, but I'm choosing to judge the game on its current state rather than what they might do. That might prove naive, but I'm enjoying the experience as it currently stands.
Energy systems have always been part of the Harvest Moon games, and I thought Stardew Valley had one, too. The system isn't always gated by microtransactions.

Re: Disney Dreamlight Valley Receives Update, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

@sanderev that's just an assumption, though. Granted, you are basing it on previous models used by the same company, but changing how energy works would break the game as Phostacio says.
I think you might be wrong here, or at least I hope you are. I think it's a bit unfair to criticise a game for something that you think rather than know will happen.

The monetisation for this game is based on cosmetics only. If you play ever day, you can probably get by with only paying for enough moonstones to unlock the Premium Star Path once, as you can earn the spent stones back. That's less than a full price game would cost.
Or you could avoid Premium and play entirely for free, just missing out on a few costumes, bits of furniture and pets.
The game is decent, and doesn't deserve to be written off for it's planned monetisation policy.

Hi, I'm Bucket, and I have been playing Power Wash Simulator. I know I shouldn't. I know it's boring. But it just sucks me back in.

Aside from that, my copies of the Jaleco and Gaelco carts arrived for the Evercade yesterday, so I'll hopefully be playing a bit on those.

Oh, and I downloaded Into the Breach. I should give that a go, too.

I'll probably pick up Capcom Arcade Stadium 2.

I also plan to get the new Faircroft's Antiques game, which isn't listed here but came out today. The previous games in the series have been decent hidden obect/ puzzle games.

Klonoa and Bit Orchard: Animal Valley for me. I've never played a Klonoa game before, but always wanted them.

Aside from that, I'm hoping to make progress with knitting a scarf. I need to finish that soon so I can start on a bigger project I want to finish before the winter hits (yes, that's ages from now, but I'm slow).

I ordered a copy of Mario Strikers, which should arrive today.

On the Xbox I am playing more Forza Motorsport 2, but took a break from Godfall to return to Anthem and try to mop up the achievements I'm missing. I know Anthem got a lot of hate, but I love the movement in that game.
