I am mainly playing BOTW. I have revealed the whole map now and have 12 hearts plus 2 stamina boosts. It's almost time to start trying to tackle the main quests, I guess.
When I need a break from Hyrule I am playing Project X and 40 Winks on the Evercade.
I am playing more Breath of the Wild this weekend. I'll break it up with some time on the more action-oriented Blackwind on PS5.
Incidentally, I tried the demo for the new Alone in the Dark game on PS5. It certainly raises some interesting story questions for the main game. I should have finished BOTW before that comes out in October.
I'm still trying to play Breath of the Wild, but wanted to finish my playthrough of Death Stranding first. I just need to clear a few more orders, find some memory chips and fabricate the remaining items and I am free to roam Hyrule without looking guiltily at my backlog.
I also tried Nobody Lives Under The Lighthouse. The first hour is great as the tension slowly builds. And then it got weird. And a bit boring. It's a shame that there's a game on Dreams on PlayStation that tells a similar story in a much better way.
Lego Builders Journey and Tiny Dragon Story as part of my attempt to clear my Switch backlog. Plus probably some Wardner or Rally Bike on the Evercade.
There's a new Star Path on Disney Dreamlight Valley, so I'll be putting some time into that. Also playing Metroid Prime, Ghostwire Tokyo, Loop Hero and Twin Dragons.
I started the weekend with Quantum Storm, which was a mistake. I usually love breakout-style games. But this... never before have I been so totally enraged and utterly bored by the same game. It's so slow! You can speed it up, but that just makes it even harder to position the bat for the correct bounce. So I took out my frustration on Crysis 2.
@Moroboshi876 Actually, I don't think Metro Cross came out in Europe. Which makes it a weird exception, but I suppose that means it could happen again.
I'm glad the exhaustion screen fade effect is gone, that was just annoying.
My biggest issue with the game at the moment is that Donald seems to go into a rage more often since the last update. I've known him to have several tantrums during a single visit to Scrooge's store.
After bearing Crysis last week, I wanted to tackle another "big" game in my backlog. I started playing Star Link: Battle for Atlas last night, but it's just making me want to play No Man's Sky.
I'm continuing with Dreamlight Valley, mostly. The current season ends after next weekend, so there will be a fresh star path and new unlockable stuff. Until then I'm trying to stockpile things so the path is a little easier.
Other than that I'm playing Forza Horizon 2, along with Crysis and V-Rally 4 on the Switch. I also enjoyed Assault, the latest Arcade Archives game. It's nice to see Namco releasing games that are more obscure than the usual batch we see in their Namco Museum collections.
I am still spending time in Dreamlight Valley, but have also downloaded Mutant: Year Zero for a change of pace. On the Xbox, I've taken my Forza Horizon 2 playthrough to Storm Island. Finally, I've gone back to Dark Chambers on the Evercade. On the hardest setting, this game is incredibly tough.
@steventonysmith I think it's because other life sims do, so it's become a staple of the genre. But maybe it's supposed to break up how you perform tasks, so you don't get people grinding away at the same task continuously for hours. I assume the breakable tools in Animal Crossing serve the same purpose, but that's just a guess.
I'm still playing Dreamlight Valley, and have almost finished the Star Path for this month already. I think there's only one more character to recruit until the DLC arrives, too. I'm also enjoying Splatoon 3 and, on the Xbox, Forza Horizon 2. The latter is still enjoyable, but I constantly lose connection to the server, so the multilayer aspect is a no-go.
@sanderev I see your point, especially with Gameloft's history, but I'm choosing to judge the game on its current state rather than what they might do. That might prove naive, but I'm enjoying the experience as it currently stands. Energy systems have always been part of the Harvest Moon games, and I thought Stardew Valley had one, too. The system isn't always gated by microtransactions.
@sanderev that's just an assumption, though. Granted, you are basing it on previous models used by the same company, but changing how energy works would break the game as Phostacio says. I think you might be wrong here, or at least I hope you are. I think it's a bit unfair to criticise a game for something that you think rather than know will happen.
The monetisation for this game is based on cosmetics only. If you play ever day, you can probably get by with only paying for enough moonstones to unlock the Premium Star Path once, as you can earn the spent stones back. That's less than a full price game would cost. Or you could avoid Premium and play entirely for free, just missing out on a few costumes, bits of furniture and pets. The game is decent, and doesn't deserve to be written off for it's planned monetisation policy.
My copy of Splatoon 3 should be arriving today, so I hope to delve into that.
I'm also spending a lot of time on Disney's Dreamlight Valley. There's a lot to do, even in its early state. I'm playing on the Xbox, though, as the performance is better.
I'm still playing Saints Row 2 on co-op, which is taking up a lot of my gaming time. Otherwise I am playing Cannon Fodder on the Evercade and, on Switch, Fashion Princess (basically Qix with different arena layouts and a number of other twists).
I'm hoping to finally start The Witcher 3 this weekend. I'm tempted by Xenoblade 3, with all the love it gets here, but I haven't played the first 2 games yet.
Also playing Into the Breach. It seems I'm a few years behind everyone else when it comes to game choice, but never mind.
I also plan to get the new Faircroft's Antiques game, which isn't listed here but came out today. The previous games in the series have been decent hidden obect/ puzzle games.
Klonoa and Bit Orchard: Animal Valley for me. I've never played a Klonoa game before, but always wanted them.
Aside from that, I'm hoping to make progress with knitting a scarf. I need to finish that soon so I can start on a bigger project I want to finish before the winter hits (yes, that's ages from now, but I'm slow).
I ordered a copy of Mario Strikers, which should arrive today.
On the Xbox I am playing more Forza Motorsport 2, but took a break from Godfall to return to Anthem and try to mop up the achievements I'm missing. I know Anthem got a lot of hate, but I love the movement in that game.
I finished both Slipstream and Crossfire X last week, so have turned my attention to Godfall and Forza Motorsport 2 on the Xbox. Switch-wise, I plan to carry on with Titan Quest.

@LikelySatan yeah, if you like retro or indie games there's a lot to like.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 13th)
I would love to be playing Tears of the Kingdom, but since I never managed to finish Breath of the Wild, I've decided to go back and do that first.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 6th)
Lego Builders Journey and Tiny Dragon Story as part of my attempt to clear my Switch backlog. Plus probably some Wardner or Rally Bike on the Evercade.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 29th)
I'm hunting relics in Metroid Prime. I never got this far back on the Gamecube, so it's a brand new experience for me.
I'm also trying out the two new Evercade cartridges that released yesterday.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 22nd)
Sunrise GP. It's a fun arcade racer that is only really let down by poor opponent AI and awful menu music.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 15th)
I completed Ghostwire: Tokyo during the week, a big step in my goal to tackle my backlog.
Now I am trying to finish Tchia on PS5 and Metroid Prime on Switch.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 8th)
There's a new Star Path on Disney Dreamlight Valley, so I'll be putting some time into that. Also playing Metroid Prime, Ghostwire Tokyo, Loop Hero and Twin Dragons.
Re: Ubisoft Bringing Reboot Of Classic RTS 'The Settlers' To Switch Next Month
I loved the original on the amiga, so will check this out with the expectation of it being less good than its 30 year old predecessor.

I'm hoping to get Sonic Frontier tomorrow, so will just be dabbling today, probably on some more games from the atari 50th anniversary thing.
Have a happy holidays everyone.
Re: Surprise! Hamster Is Bringing The Hardest Tetris Series To Switch eShop Next Week
@Coffeemonster same. I used to play a lot of Ninja Scooter Simulator back on my Spectrum, and really wanted to try the game that inspired it.

@Moroboshi876 Actually, I don't think Metro Cross came out in Europe. Which makes it a weird exception, but I suppose that means it could happen again.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 19th)
I'm playing Food Fight (arcade) on the Atari 50th anniversary celebration.
On top of that, I have finally started God of War 2018, and am working through the career on Project Cars 3.
I might also be addicted to Vampire Survivor.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 5th)
Art of Rally is leaving Game Pass soon, so I'll be trying to grind out however many events I need for the last achievement.
Beyond that, I am still playing Dreamlight Valley, and I might put some time into Ordyne too.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 22nd)
I'm playing through the new content in Dreamlight Valley and trying to finish the last few races in Gravel.
I also took a trip to the past and spent some time on Space Cadet pinball, the old pinball game that came pre-loaded with Windows 95.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (October 15th)
I bought Atari Mania this week, and also grabbed Scorn on Gamepass, so I'm mainly focused on them. I'm also playing Ride on the Xbox, though.
Re: Atari Anniversary Collection Full List Of Games Possibly Revealed In Retailer Leak
Food Fight is one of my favourite arcade games, so thrilled to see that here.
I'm also pleased to see Dark Chambers for the 7800. I have it on the Evercade, but you need both Atari cartridges inserted in order to unlock it.
Miner 2049er should be worth a look, too.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 27th)
All the love for XC3 got to me, so I decided to start XC1 and work my way through the series (minus the Wii U entry, sadly).
I'm also playing through Saints Row 2 in Co-Op on the Xbox, along with trying to complete Slipstream.
Re: Open The Early Access Gates With Disney Dreamlight Valley's Founder's Packs
Wait.. the paid Early Access content is coming to Game Pass? So it's free access to paid for content on a F2P game?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 20th)
@JasmineDragon I'm incredibly sorry to hear this. I wish you all the best in this difficult time in your life.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 13th)
My plan to play The Witcher 3 got sidetracked, and I'm now playing Arcade Paradise and Forza Horizon 2.

Great choice of sub-heading!
I'm now going to hear that every time the song is played.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 30th)
Hi, I'm Bucket, and I have been playing Power Wash Simulator. I know I shouldn't. I know it's boring. But it just sucks me back in.
Aside from that, my copies of the Jaleco and Gaelco carts arrived for the Evercade yesterday, so I'll hopefully be playing a bit on those.
Oh, and I downloaded Into the Breach. I should give that a go, too.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 23rd)
Capcom Arcade Stadium 2, primarily.
I did try the expansion for Forza Horizon 5, but Hotwheels has never really interested me, so I quickly lost interest.
Re: Nintendo Download: 21st July (Europe)
I'll probably pick up Capcom Arcade Stadium 2.
I also plan to get the new Faircroft's Antiques game, which isn't listed here but came out today. The previous games in the series have been decent hidden obect/ puzzle games.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 16th)
I'm visiting family this weekend, but still hope to find some time for Klonoa, and maybe start First Time In Paris.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 9th)
@JasmineDragon congratulations on getting to the end of your cardigan, BTW.
I'm also thinking about getting Cursed Island on the Xbox. Has anyone played that?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 9th)
Klonoa and Bit Orchard: Animal Valley for me. I've never played a Klonoa game before, but always wanted them.

Re: Nintendo Download: 30th June (Europe)
I decided to grab Salaryman Shi since it's been in the Coming Soon section of the eShop for about a year.
Also the Arcade Archives release, Thunder Ceptor.

@JasmineDragon not at all. I'm a knitter, myself, but enjoyed reading your updates.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 18th)
@JasmineDragon no crochet this weekend? Did you finish the jumper?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 18th)

Re: Square Enix Reveals Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, Arriving On Switch Later This Year
I hope they don't mess around with the story like they did with the FFVII remake.
Otherwise, this has piqued my interest.
