I hope the best for the developers if the game is indeed legit (and it seems to be). Still, this comments section reminds me how I hate a large portion of Pokémon "fans" that act like things are much worse than they actually are.
The Apollo Justice Trilogy is one of those titles I absolutely want to have a physical copy of, so sadly I have no idea when I'll get it (worst-case scenario, I should order it from Play-Asia near the end of this year).
Maybe it's just a "me" thing, but when people complain about pokemon having stagnant gameplay, I have absolutely no idea what they want to be done that doesn't just make it a completely different game. The closest to a satisfactory answer I got was adding the new mechanics from Legends Arceus to the main games, but even this isn't THAT much of a difference.
I loved the first game, and the only reason I didn't get this one yet is because I'm doing my absolute hardest to finish my backlog (and maybe find a good opportunity to get a physical version along the way).
That said, there's a bunch of bad to awful takes in this comments section.
@Mando44646 Is it laziness if they try to put more into the game than it can actually handle? Sure it may be technical incompetence + rushed deadlines, but laziness would be if they just copied Sword/Shield or something like that.
I'm sick of this argument.
A small part of me wishes the next game will be a primarily single player experience, if only so we can have a dream Nintendo crossover with none of the current FGC-related baggage. But also that they port Ultimate with rollback netcode to make as many people happy as possible.
While it's obvious and understandable why they wouldn't disclose so, I wish there was some solid information regarding the motives for those threats, if only to have an idea of the source of the problem.
@yokokazuo I did after I had already made the renewal, and it was only now by checking My Nintendo that I could confirm that it indeed work. I guess I got a bit upset over nothing. Still, thank you!
@yokokazuo So I misread the details of the promotion and renewed my subscription on the console rather than through the site. Have I just screwed myself out of it?
I know a bunch of people that would be satisfied if the SWitch 2 had an ethernet port from the get-go, without needing to buy one by itself or a OLED model.
Definitely not coming to the Switch, but the next console may not be out of the question. And didn't the guy that said Yakuza wasn't a fit for Nintendo consoles that one time leave Sega a while ago?
It's nice to have confirmation that they actually consider Mania canon, and that it's all the same timeline (rather than treating "classic" Sonic as its own separate thing).
@JustMonika You'd be surprised by how many people don't keep up with current anime and only care about the ones they've watched years ago (if they even care about anime at all).
Back when the direct aired, it was bit funny (if a little bit frustrating) that of all the people I follow, only one guy knew Spy X Family and had a modicum of interest for the game.
That's a very specific way of triggering it, but not exactly hard for those that registered the box legendary sooner than they were technically supposed to. Still, hopefully there's a fix.
I'm really sorry, but you're either playing devil's advocate, or you know something and want to gauge the reaction first... hopefully it's just the former.
@Kazman2007 Unless it's actually explained in some outside material, we'll just have to assume that Calamity Ganon was Ganondorf's evil gradually leaking out over the course of ages.
@rjejr Looking by the comments section, a bunch of people would have preferred a more tragic ending. I just think that after everything Zelda went through in both games, she deserved it.
I kind of hope they release a complete version with all the content for the next console, if only for the chance to make it as good as the other versions (without the limitations of the Switch port).
I just choose to accept that the events of BotW and TotK (including the events in the latter's flashbacks) happen SO FAR in the future that the rest of the series is pretty much irrelevant to their plot.
The only games I ever sold were ones I was sure I had zero attachment to, so I don't really regret it.
What I DO regret is disposing of all my Gamecube game cases (and a few DS ones). Unless those are forgotten inside a moving box somewhere.
@Araquanid I only hope this never becomes a problem regarding pokémon deposited in Home. I never did any genning, but I can't be so sure about certain unique ones I got through trades, no matter how legit all their data seems to be (and I even compare OTs and obtained dates for event pokémon).
I'm honestly curious to know how they are checking if the pokémon are hacked, since it's possible to make them indistinguishable from legit ones at a basic glance.
I realized that getting into the games' content is a lot more rewarding the least I know beforehand, so I'm going to skip it and catch up with the more relevant information later.

Re: Random: The 'Pokémon-With-Guns' Game On Steam Is Yet More Homework Copying
I hope the best for the developers if the game is indeed legit (and it seems to be).

Re: Best Paper Mario-Likes On Switch - Games To Play If You Miss Old-School Paper Mario
Maybe the direction Paper Mario took wasn't such a bad thing - otherwise, a bunch of these games would probably never exist.
Re: Pokémon Developer Game Freak Trademarks 'PAND LAND'
@Friendly No we don't.
I'm not trying to defend them, I just don't like low effort potshots.
Re: Video: 9 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In January 2024

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Viewtiful Joe 2
I thought the NA cover was kinda risqué, but then I saw the JP one... those were different times, indeed.
Re: Soapbox: It Feels Like Everyone Forgot The Best Switch RPG Of The Year

Keep Super Mario Weird
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk DLC
@Mando44646 Is it laziness if they try to put more into the game than it can actually handle? Sure it may be technical incompetence + rushed deadlines, but laziness would be if they just copied Sword/Shield or something like that.
I'm sick of this argument.
Re: Super Mario RPG Version 1.0.1 Released, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
It's good that these issues were fixed, but it's still a little bit alarming that there was this much to fix.
Re: Talking Point: What's Next For The Super Smash Bros. Series?

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Celebrating 5th Anniversary With New Spirits
Finally, substantial Smash news that have nothing to do with FGC drama.
Re: Nintendo Offering Limited Time Gold Point Bonus With Switch Online Memberships (North America)
@yokokazuo I did after I had already made the renewal, and it was only now by checking My Nintendo that I could confirm that it indeed work. I guess I got a bit upset over nothing.
Still, thank you!
Re: Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy Is Seemingly Going Physical In North America Too
If that's the case, it might change my plan of importing a Japanese copy like I did with the first trilogy.
Re: Nintendo Offering Limited Time Gold Point Bonus With Switch Online Memberships (North America)
@yokokazuo So I misread the details of the promotion and renewed my subscription on the console rather than through the site. Have I just screwed myself out of it?
Re: Pokémon's COO Wants To Keep Franchise Going For "Hundreds Of Years"
There's just something unhinged about saying this out loud in an interview.
Re: New Pokémon Scarlet & Violet 7-Star Tera Raid Battle Event Announced For This Weekend
Considering how the Pikachu 7-star raid wasn't exactly a cakewalk, I wonder what they'll do to stack the odds in its favor.
Re: Sega's Executive Director Wants Sonic Games And Movies To "Surpass Mario"
I can say that they seem to be significantly closer to that goal in regards to movies.
Re: Zelda Voted 'Favourite' Tears Of The Kingdom Character In Recent Famitsu Survey
Fan has a lot of fans.
Re: Talking Point: Along With Joy-Con Drift, What Does Nintendo Have To 'Fix' With 'Switch 2'?
I know a bunch of people that would be satisfied if the SWitch 2 had an ethernet port from the get-go, without needing to buy one by itself or a OLED model.
Re: Random: Upcoming 'Like A Dragon' Title Is Basically Animal Crossing Now
Definitely not coming to the Switch, but the next console may not be out of the question.
And didn't the guy that said Yakuza wasn't a fit for Nintendo consoles that one time leave Sega a while ago?
Re: Takashi Iizuka Explains Timeline Placement Of Sonic Superstars
It's nice to have confirmation that they actually consider Mania canon, and that it's all the same timeline (rather than treating "classic" Sonic as its own separate thing).
Re: Review: Sonic Superstars - A Fine, Authentic-Feeling Return That Runs Great On Switch
So this appears to be excellent as a single-player game. Good enough for me!

Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Trainers Reportedly Encounter New "Final Boss Battle" Crash In Version 2.0.1 Update
That's a very specific way of triggering it, but not exactly hard for those that registered the box legendary sooner than they were technically supposed to. Still, hopefully there's a fix.
Re: Soapbox: 'Switch 2' Doesn't Really Need Backwards Compatibility
I'm really sorry, but you're either playing devil's advocate, or you know something and want to gauge the reaction first... hopefully it's just the former.
Re: Poll: Do You Prefer Zelda: Wind Waker HD's Bloom Lighting Or The "Flat" OG?
The HD version's bloom wasn't a deal breaker for me, but I do think the original style looks better.
Re: Sonic Superstars' New Multiplayer Battle Mode Detailed By SEGA
It's weird to see an actual Metal Tails and not Tails Doll.
Re: Video: It's Finally Time To Talk About Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom's Ending
@Kazman2007 Unless it's actually explained in some outside material, we'll just have to assume that Calamity Ganon was Ganondorf's evil gradually leaking out over the course of ages.

I just choose to accept that the events of BotW and TotK (including the events in the latter's flashbacks) happen SO FAR in the future that the rest of the series is pretty much irrelevant to their plot.
Re: Vampire Survivors Tops The Switch eShop Charts In US, UK & Japan
@Captain_Toad People that already got it on PC/Xbox/Mobile, most likely.
Re: The Next Xenoblade Will Be "Vastly Different" Says Monolith Soft Director
@MirrorFate2 Never say never.
Re: Feature: TikTok, Smash Bros., And Shaking Up 'Samba De Amigo' With Series Creator Shun Nakamura
Smash IS lacking a representative for rhythm/ music games. No, DK doesn't count.
Re: Talking Point: Zelda: TOTK Isn't A Shoo-In For GOTY 2023, And That's A Good Thing
I don't need TotK to win Game of the Year, but I also don't need people looking down on it if it doesn't.
Re: Talking Point: The Games We Got Rid Of - What Were We Thinking?
The only games I ever sold were ones I was sure I had zero attachment to, so I don't really regret it.
What I DO regret is disposing of all my Gamecube game cases (and a few DS ones). Unless those are forgotten inside a moving box somewhere.
Re: Talking Point: After Three Months, What's Your Zelda: TOTK Completion Percentage?
I did everything but most of the optional minigames and getting all of the Korok seeds - and as far as I'm concerned, that's enough.
Re: Super Mario Bros. Live-Action Movie Getting 4K Anniversary Screening (Japan)
I guess the success of the new movie made it safer to acknowledge the old one.

Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet News Teased For World Championships' Closing Ceremony
@Chinesus @Burning_Spear Even though you're right to some extent, there's no need to sound so smug.
Re: Nintendo's New Development Building Reportedly Delayed Due To "Expansion Plan"
This is a kind of long-term planning I can't quite wrap my head about, but can still respect.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Builds Up To Mewtwo With Next Tera Raid Event
@Dr_Lugae Since it will likely be packing Aura Sphere, good luck with that.
Re: Soapbox: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC Is A Chance To Win Back Disenchanted Fans
Going by the comments, it seems it's already far too late for many people.
Re: Pokémon Presents Announced For 8th August 2023

Re: Good Smile Restocking Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Nendoroid, Pre-Order Now
It's a bit weird to see Zelda with long hair again.
