@Pillowpants It's a pretty alright, pretty difficult, and pretty-looking classic (level-based) Castlevania. Nothing groundbreaking, but worth the try if you have the interest and the disposable income.

@Axecon It's somewhat implied that Remilia lies about being related to Dracula to make her seem like a bigger deal.

And it's a shame Luna Nights never got a proper review here. Nor did the first Koumajou Remilia. Nor the actual canon fighting game Antimony of Common Flowers. It feels that after the first few Touhou fangames on the Switch, the folks at Nintendo Life decided it wasn't worth giving the series any attention.

Simon was also playable years ago on DreamMix TV World Fighters on the Gamecube and PS2, which included Twinbee, Optimus Prime and Master Higgins from Adventure Island.

I can't really comment about the trailer, since I'm trying my best to avoid any and all promotional materials before release (aside from most things related to version exclusives).

Man, I wish the Phoenix Wright Trilogy was available in cartridges outside of Japan. I just looked it up, and R$500+ is not worth it just to own a physical version.

I'm honestly partial to gens 3, 5 and 7.

You guys just missed the DLC for the Etrian Odyssey titles on the 3DS (not including EO IV and Untold 1). Those include access to items that make the games less grindy, new quests that often involve new areas and bosses, and even extra character classes.

The problem with these statements is that for legal reasons, we rarely get any word on if something actually happened, so it can be easy to assume that they're doing nothing at all.

I'm actually still undecided (leaning slightly more towards Scarlet), so it might be good to check this later.

I feel that the main argument why you stopped liking the games as much is a big part of the reason why they changed Paper Mario so much.

I feel that the main reason I liked Octopath's story was because I was able to compromise my expectations with what the developers intended.
Anyway, this game seems promising.

Sonic & Knuckles Collection for the PC was my first exposure to these specific games, so these new renditions of these tracks actually hit a nostalgic cord with me. The only Mega Drive original tracks I'll really miss is both from Ice Cap Zone.

Regardless of the experience with the games, I feel that 2019-2021 was one of the most trying periods to be a Pokémon fan or engage with the community.

Just a reminder that BD/SP only sold more than Legends Arceus - and not even 20% more, and this difference can still decrease - because of the holidays timing and probably the fact that it's accounting for both versions.

At that price, it was obviously a scam. But sadly, it does call some attention to the fact that videogames are still very much luxury items in many parts of the world, mostly due to publishers being unwilling/unable to adjust their prices in those markets to make up for the exchange rate and any local taxes.

Not counting certain third-party titles with potential licensing issues, I think the most noteworthy NES games missing are Startropics and its sequel.

Now that's a Kusoge with a capital K.

If it turns out he isn't involved, I really suggest making a new story rather than updating this one, and with a clear title, to make sure anyone interested will notice and read. I have no horse in this race regarding Inafune's credibility, but I really dislike misaimed hate bandwagons on principle.

There’s a follow-up to this. It might not be Inafune, but rather an imitator of his style using his name for attention (makes sense) and money (not anymore).

@wiiware Touhou is one of those things where knowing the setting and characters is nice/useful, but in no way necessary to enjoy the experience.

@BranJ0 @BulkSlash It's worth pointing out that this game (and its sequel) aren't metroidvanias - rather, they follow the stage-by-stage gameplay structure of classic Castlevania.

I don't know if you have this information, but it would be nice to know what teams were used by the winners.

On a related note, there's this podcast I follow that commented about this leak, and they assumed that (paraphrased) "it will just be as garbage as Nintendo's other Switch emulators" - completely forgetting or not caring that only the N64 emulator had issues, and that those have been mostly fixed since launch. It irks me off to no end.

@PokemonDMG For the Megaman games, likely savestates at the first/last Wily stages, with all the weapons and upgrades acquired.

I have to update my Switch, but from the top of my mind I plan to create folders for my backlog, for games I might/may play again, and for games I won't have a problem deleting if I ever need to free up space.

This is where it's important to make the distinction between "legal" and "official" perfectly clear.

I'm just glad you don't need to complete every single research task to see/get all the things that matter.

I was under the impression that DKC 3 was already on SNES Online.

The lack of a analog stick (let alone two) is the most confusing part. There's too little for it to be a proper next gen controller, but there's too much for it to be something for Game Boy/GBA games.
...Maybe it's for Virtual Boy games?
