Sonic & Knuckles Collection for the PC was my first exposure to these specific games, so these new renditions of these tracks actually hit a nostalgic cord with me. The only Mega Drive original tracks I'll really miss is both from Ice Cap Zone.
Regardless of the experience with the games, I feel that 2019-2021 was one of the most trying periods to be a Pokémon fan or engage with the community.
Some of you sound so miserable. Just a reminder that BD/SP only sold more than Legends Arceus - and not even 20% more, and this difference can still decrease - because of the holidays timing and probably the fact that it's accounting for both versions.
At that price, it was obviously a scam. But sadly, it does call some attention to the fact that videogames are still very much luxury items in many parts of the world, mostly due to publishers being unwilling/unable to adjust their prices in those markets to make up for the exchange rate and any local taxes.
@Liam_Doolan Thank you. If it turns out he isn't involved, I really suggest making a new story rather than updating this one, and with a clear title, to make sure anyone interested will notice and read. I have no horse in this race regarding Inafune's credibility, but I really dislike misaimed hate bandwagons on principle.
There’s a follow-up to this. It might not be Inafune, but rather an imitator of his style using his name for attention (makes sense) and money (not anymore).
@BranJ0 @BulkSlash It's worth pointing out that this game (and its sequel) aren't metroidvanias - rather, they follow the stage-by-stage gameplay structure of classic Castlevania.
On a related note, there's this podcast I follow that commented about this leak, and they assumed that (paraphrased) "it will just be as garbage as Nintendo's other Switch emulators" - completely forgetting or not caring that only the N64 emulator had issues, and that those have been mostly fixed since launch. It irks me off to no end.
I have to update my Switch, but from the top of my mind I plan to create folders for my backlog, for games I might/may play again, and for games I won't have a problem deleting if I ever need to free up space.
The lack of a analog stick (let alone two) is the most confusing part. There's too little for it to be a proper next gen controller, but there's too much for it to be something for Game Boy/GBA games.
...Maybe it's for Virtual Boy games?
I first picked Charmander because I liked Charizard more than the other two. Then Totodile for the exact same reason. Before Gen 3 was even a thing, I suspected the same would happen with the grass starter, and it did. Then came Gen 4 and I liked all starters, so I picked Chimchar since I spent the longest without picking a fire starter. And from this point on, I kept with the fire > water > grass sequence, only slightly regretting my decision on rare occasions. Looking forward to starting with Sprigatito in Gen 9.
@Lagster_YT Speaking of which, it's weird that nobody has talked about the ongoing deals on the eshop related to the celebration (Luigi's Mansion 3 finally got a discount after too long since the last time).
Remember when people thought a boss sprite in Sonic Mania kind of looked like an Eggman-like little girl, thus leading to the advent of his nephew Omelette (I think that was her name)?
I fully respect your decision about not wanting to see the ending, even if it kind of really weirds me out. That's like putting down a book at the penultimate chapter or turning off a movie 15 minutes before the credits, but to each their own.
Sigh This only reinforces my commitment to waiting until mid-February to receive the physical version I sort-of preordered. This seems to be a real special game.
I feel that more people here should be following the example of Serge_G and express their dissatisfaction in a way that doesn't sound like a hyperbolic tantrum-throwing. It makes it harder to take your opinion seriously.
@Serge_G You sound genuine, so it may be worth asking... how important is the visual presentation to you? Does it actually matter to the point where it's more important than the rest of the package? If it's not on par with what you believe it should be, do you feel cheated, or don't feel like you want to reward what you consider to be bad practices? I really just want to understand the perspective.
@Gamer_Zeus *graphics that meet my excessive standards with a sprawling open world to explore.
Sorry, I'm just tired of people deciding that a art style they don't like is objectively inferior.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Sonic Origins
Not disappointed, but I think I'd rather wait until there's a physical version, whenever that happens.

Re: Rumour: Could We Be Getting New NES And SNES Games For Switch Online?
Not counting certain third-party titles with potential licensing issues, I think the most noteworthy NES games missing are Startropics and its sequel.

Re: Koumajou Densetsu: Scarlet Symphony Is The Castlevania You've Been Waiting For
@wiiware Touhou is one of those things where knowing the setting and characters is nice/useful, but in no way necessary to enjoy the experience.

@Kiz3000 Probably a pair of games related to your avatar that are kind of a big deal.
