I know this is an opinion piece, but it still felt a bit too abrasive regarding some topics. Like, that potshot at Xenoblade was completely unprompted, and feeling so sure that Nintendo will NEVER EVER improve their accessibility options is a tad nihilistic.

I wouldn't have minded if I had the option of which would come with the console when I bought it (especially if I could replace the orange one with the green one). But as a standalone purchase after I already got the whole thing? No, thanks.

@UpsideDownRowlet It would make sense if they don't have or aren't interested in the Switch 2, but otherwise that's bizarre.

@Aerona Ok, we get it, you hate the Switch 2. How many times to you have to make that clear? What do you hope to accomplish by doing this, other than annoy people in a misguided attempt to find those who agree?
If you have nothing constructive to say, it's better to say nothing at all.

Both are good games, though I like the first one more.

I'm relatively interested in Prime 4, but I'm going to wait and see if they announce anything new that I can a use a voucher on that interests me even more before my last one expires.

I wonder if it's just a coincidence that this has been released alongside the announcement of a NieR Automata event in FFVII Ever Crisis.

It would be nice to test mine, but my router is pretty far from my TV. And I'm not interested enough to have another internet line installed in my home.

I think that it says something that even by being so technically-focused, DF's review is a lot more fair towards the game than NL's coverage.

I don't really get the feeling that these variants are going to show up in the mainline games. Maybe on Pokémon GO, as special pokémon that can't be transferred to HOME.

I feel that these public polls should come out at least a couple of weeks after the game has been out. It would prevent review bombings like the one that Legends Z-A got in this site.

I kind of wish I had played around more with all the customization options in the game, but 1) I fell instantly in love with the green raincoat full set, and 2) didn't feel like replacing it by the time I had money to spare.

I still think that putting Legends Z-A in dead last is absolutely insane.
And this article makes me feel that there will be a follow up where the NL staff says exactly what they want from the franchise. What counts as "more ambition", if going open world in S/V and the revamped battle system in Legends Z-A aren't enough?

I wonder if someone somewhere has compiled a list of all the game soundtracks that could/have yet to be added to the service.

@liljmoore Some people won't shut up until these games reach full visual parity with Nintendo's biggest games and get voice acting (not to mention those that won't let go of Dexit). I'm personally hoping they'll treat voice acting seriously, but it's far from being a deal breaker if it takes a while.

@Lizuka It might not be selling as much right now, but it has a good chance later - considering it's available before the holidays and is part of a console bundle.

If VC is really coming back, I wouldn't be surprised if that's how old mainline Pokémon games will become available on the Switch(+2) instead of NSO.

You just reminded me that this game exists, and now I wonder how feasible it would be to include it on NSO, if only for the sake of completeness.

Prediction: the game will have at least two endings. A bad one that ends like the original comic and a better one that goes the way of the sequel/reexamination of the original.

I think that something that sucks about how they're handling this is that making people rush to play the minimum necessary to reach the rank will bring the risk of exposing them to players who are much more ahead in the game and using mega forms that were supposed to be a surprise during normal gameplay. I'm just glad that having mega Greninja isn't a particular priority for me.

They could at least have waited until after the game was out.

I hear a lot of good things about the series, but it's a shame that they keep using a different, inferior soundtrack for the dub. It's the main thing that keeps me from watching it.

So with this, what is left to be added to the SNES app when it comes to first-party games? What immediately comes to mind is Yoshi's Cookie and Yoshi's Safari.
EDIT: It turns out, there's a bunch of other games made by Nintendo for the Super Scope aside from Yoshi's Safari (some of them developed by Intelligent Systems).

Even though I've heard the Switch version plays well enough on the Switch 2, I still hope they were able to get a Switch 2 dev kit so it can have an even more improved version.

Considering Hornet's bestiary comments about fluffy creatures, she may not hate riding with the fleas as much as you might assume.

I'm planning to pay for one year of the Expansion Pack at some point (when there are enough of its games I want to play), and if the accessory turns out to not be as obligatory as it seems (beyond the authentic experience), I'll definitely check it out.

@Nintoz Genuine question: I know there are games whose DLC go on sale on occasion (an example being Vampire Survivors), but has any of Nintendo's DLC ever been on sale by itself?

EDIT: According to DekuDeals, the DLC for Xenoblade 3 was on sale back on June 2024, and MK8's Booster Pass was also on sale at the end of the same year. So yeah, I can wait. Just a shame I can't say the same for Legends ZA's DLC (if the lack of sales for previous POkémon DLC is any indication).

I hope they announce more Switch games getting S2 upgrades, free or otherwise (preferably the former) - specifically Xenoblade DE and TTYD. Anything that interests me beyond that is a bonus.

Well, that's as good a motivation as any for them to release that supposed Switch 2 patch/update.

While I'm not satisfied with the way NIntendo handles some parts of their business, there are people here acting as if they had become EA or Microsoft, which I find a bit silly.

So the game's official site includes the very important information that VP (the points used to rent pokémon and change their stats) aren't purchasable, being only acquired through in-game activities. This is something they should have included in the presentation, and I really hope Nintendo Life can put up an article so everyone knows.

If the wooloo is any indication, there's a chance they might not have been allowed to go crazy with the character designs, but hopefully the comedy and craftsmanship will make up for it.

Both Octopath Travelers play really well on the Switch 1, so the extra power doesn't make any big difference... except for a certain section of the second one's final boss battle.

I wonder if the current version looks/runs well enough on the Switch 2, or if it warrants a (hopefully free) upgrade on the new system.

Considering I'll play it docked for the vast majority of time, I'm glad with not paying extra for a fancier screen.
