I echo many of the above sentiments. The criticism is way overblown.
It has it's faults as any game does but also has many merits and in the end of the day it's a new fun pokemon game to play

Great news! Loved their Castlevania DLC, I needed a reason to jump back in it

Ive been playing the game for 3 days and I just completed 100 battles. I don't think it's too much of a grind

@springer17 same here. I'm definitely getting this sooner or later as I can't have enough Dungeon Crawlers and I've been studying hiragana and katakana for a while now. The only obstacle in my way is my huge backlog

First time I'm hearing of this game and this sounds like something I'd enjoy a lot

I half expected to hear Bravely Default's Baal Battle Theme when the boss threw a ball of rolling fingers cut-outs at the main character. Jokes aside, I enjoy the game's chaotic visual identity but I feel like everything else isn't for me

We've grown accustomed with series spanning worldbuilding and deep lores, and while I love it there is comfort in the simplicity of not thinking too hard about it. I think a fun platformer is the kind of game you shouldn't have to think too hard about it

So far I've been enjoying it a lot (beat the 5th new stage) but I feel bad for my coop buddy for how many times the new mouthful modes show up and how they force Bandana Waddle Dee to saddle up on Kirby and just wait for that section to be over so they can go back to playing too

Memories in Celceta was my first "modern style" Ys game and I really like it. Hope that people experiencing it for the first time get to enjoy it as much

I love how they sneaked in moves' special effects into the animation so that you can tell with only visuals and no words

That's a pretty impressive achievement to emulate 2D animation with 3D models, in the style of Ghibli no less

I hope it's Machamp and then Golem so that all of the infamous (for players without others to trade with) Kanto 4 get a Mega Evolution.
But given how the poster frames a smaller Hawlucha looking with composure at an overconfident Machamp, I'm guessing the little guy will get a power boost. That would be doubly interesting as none of pokemon introduced in Kalos received a Mega evolution until now, and that was the region that started the Mega gimmick

It's never a good idea to overhype your work before release. Let the finished product tell it's story. They did well in keeping it simple

I intuitivelly smash the ground the first time I want to jump after I boot the game, everytime. I kept the og button mapping and roll with it but I'm glad they included a swap option, they knew it would confuse a lot of players' muscle memory

It's a dumb little mode but put 50-99 laps and it's the perfect party game

Littlejem is a precious gem, all her works are awesome! She made many Five Nights at Freddy's animatronic suits and the eye movements are uncanny

I'm sure this is a fun game despite missing the demo. Thing is I have very little free time to play games, I haven't been able to fully enjoy MK World and DK Bananza, and Pokemon Legends Z-A is right around the corner.
Some people might argue about "few games" and "dry times", perhaps rightfully so, but to me there is never enough time to play the handful of games I really want to play

They kept the same illustrator. I read in other articles that they've opened up about it in a tweet in japanese that sometimes the company ask the illustrator to trace the sketches they provide but this time they sent them some fan art by mistake and that it wasn't the illustrator's fault.
All that makes my think TPC keeps a vault of fan art they like

Man, I own the OG trilogy and was taking my sweet time to start Ryza 2 after only recently beating the first one. I don't have it in me to buy the DX Trilogy knowing I have perfectly playable games sitting there that would go unplayed. On the other hand, I always want to experience the extra content they add to remakes/remasters...
