@AJWolfTill I didn't read what are the other awards beyond what is written on the article. Thank you for the information!
I really like how they handled Juniper, being subtle about it. Honestly, it took me a while to notice no one ever genders them. Meanwhile, A is referred as female inside game programming but no one ever uses pronouns ingame, instead always calling A by name
@Cathalm Juniper and A are great characters but I think this is specifically a trans representation award. While never explicitly said ingame, game programing, interviews and other sources say Juniper is non-binary and A is agender
I was already giggling at the totally coincidental light blue and red not-joycons but the not-dualsense sent me. I wonder if they build those from a scratch or simply steal the designs and print with small modifications
I like it. It's funny because when I saw it at first I didn't think of the movie but DK's original design before Rare took him for a spin. It reminds me of DK Jr on Super Mario Kart
At first I thought this was a mockup but it's an entirely functional site! Great work, NL! Here to hoping Nintendo will take care two or twenty hints going into the og eshop's future
I've kept it to myself but I don't enjoy the leak culture very much. What I'm interpreting from Nintendo's statement though is that is "not [the] official" reveal. I still think it's the Switch 2
Thanks for the review! The mere opportunity of playing a game I'm interested in but was lost to older consoles is reason enough to be glad this port exists
I recently finished Ys 6 Ark of Napishtim (same engine as Origin and Felghana) and started on Ys SEVEN (same engine as Celceta and very similar to the newer games) Honestly, I really miss the simplicity of this style. Oath in Felghana is great, but probably the shortest out of Origin and Napishtim
I know there can be a lot of PR talk and advertising in interviews these days, but this one was very inspiring. The team wanted to tell a story and send a message, and the producer worried the only way to do it "just right" might clash with the publishers views. That's why Nintendo games feel different to this day. They didn't sanitize art for the market. I was on the fence on Emio but if I ever buy it, it was this interview that tipped me
I wish Platinum and all the developers the best in their future. That said, one could only dream of them joining Kamiya in Okami 2, maybe as freelancers on Capcom
I have no horse in this race but I'm also curious to hear about what part of the guidelines it didn't comply. Nintendo had been increasingly lenient to all sorts of content the past few years, to the point Sony became the butt of prudish jokes.
If it really is about censorship, NoA and NoE must have had some radical changes recently
@Maxz I'd definitely say Nintendo is more akin to jazz than pop music. Given that SEGA's president is probably more used to japanese pop music, the information you brought up clears this misunderstanding
I got to play it a while back. While the game was full of charm I ended up drifting away for reasons I couldn't put my finger on until now. Indeed, the amount of times the game interrupts you (at least early on game) is way too much
I can't put it into words but this is incredible! An eerie mix of nostalgia for the 80's/90's with a pinch of "oh boy, the jokes didn't stand the test of time, did they?"
@Herman187 as @CammyUnofficial mentioned, that is a ghost-like creature with a key for a nose. They are collected in stages to unlock the door to the next stage
@Coolmusic @Joeynator3000 I was going to mention it's from Wario Land 4, but then I double checked before posting and found out it's been present in Wario Land 2 and 3 too. Although I'm sure this particular design with swirly eyes and a fork stabbed on his belly is from Wario Land 4
In the age of rushed games released broken, it's become refreshing to see studios delaying games to polish them. All the power to Argonaut for forgoing the Christmas cash to deliver a full experience instead!
Don't get me wrong, I love Wario Ware games as much as the next person, but I miss Wario's classic design and the Wario Land series so much. Please Nintendo, at least port Shake Dimension to the Switch or Switch 2
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Ubisoft seems to be the prime example of investors looking to ruin the "next big thing" for a few bucks. They couldn't care less about the player's voice, choosing instead to chase trends for some quick cash. Unfortunately, the real victims are the employees and games as a form of art
Okay. I've been living so far just fine without all the cool Japan-only stuff but, that! THAT! Man, that's so cool, I wish I could have at least one of those, it doesn't matter which one
@RetroGames I didn't mean it as you don't want LGBTQ+ community treated well. What I meant is that you can be "outside" the LGBTQ+ community and still view that stance as a positive, increasing the impact on the report.
It shows them as progressive thinking, which was mentioned in the later portion of the same sentence.
@RetroGames but you don't need to be LGBTQ+ to appreciate the fact your company treats your LGBTQ+ coworkers well.
Besides, the setence that mentions "partnership system" also says "They also have a deep understanding of diversity[...]" and "[...]among other progressive and practical initiatives." which probably also benefits employees who don't indentify themselves as LGBTQ+.
Look at the "art" provided by the dev you used in the thumbnail. The girl holding her hand wrong, the mix of MTG cards with completely blurred borders, her HAND wrong, the nonsense going on in the shelves. It's not selling it as game the devs put an effort in making it
As a fan of older pokemon games, yeah, long routes on water are annoying mainly because anywhere, at any time, can start a wild battle. Just like caves you feel unsafe but mainly it halts progress to a crawl. That said, ORAS is by far my favorite remake. It's faithful to the original, polished to a more modern standard and improved on the best battle gimmick in recent years, mega evolution. Just don't forget to bring your max repels
I started playing it on the Castlevania update. I play it in coop with my brother once a week, and we're close to clearing the base game and moving on to the DLCs. Still having a blast! Can't wait for the Castlevania content
Really looking forward to this! Love the artstyle and music. I was just listening to Cadence of Hyrule's Deku Village (a phenomenal remix of Majora's Deku Palace) this past week. Hyped!
Personally, I think any 3rd party dev that owns their IPs should try to publish on all consoles and PCs. Nintendo will want their Pokemon and Fire Emblems inhouse, same with Sony with Astro Bot and God of War. Anything else shouldn't have their reach held back. (Financial strain considered, but I'm not an expert to debate on the topic)
Ever since they started handing out "photograph this place" missions for pokeballs I've felt it there was something off and never did them. They should've been upfront about this

Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Reveal Trailer Gives First Official Look At The New Console
Still can't believe they actually named it the "Switch 2"
Not that this is a bad thing, I'm just surprised. I guess they want to avoid the marketing disaster that was the Wii U
