I'm still on the fence on this one. On one hand, I don't terribly mind the grindfest and unmonetized gacha collections, on the other, the Switch might be portable but it's not like I can slip it from my pocket and play this while I wait in line at the bank. If anything, I'm glad the game has been preserved outside the dreaded mobile gacha cycle of doom
After the embarassing display of lack of maturity (and humanity) a lot of people showed after they revealed ILCA would handle Pokemon BDSP, I'm all for Nintendo keeping secrecy.
The developer will be rightfully credited in the opening screen and on the actual credits anyways, and we all know gaming news sites will rush to be the first to post what studio made it when it's released/review embargo is lifted. It is a non issue
@Takoda remember when Kamiya had to come out and say "the game is well in development. Nothing is wrong. It will be released when it's done." every couple of months because people wouldn't stop with those rumors? Crazy times
Why does people spout this stuff without proof? I've never thought it was in development hell. Just let the team make the game they want to make. It will be done when it's done
@Octane @gaga64 I know a video game world doesn't have to follow our world's rules of logic but a lush forest below an active volcano should have burned down ages ago. Now, the lack of church, graveyard and uncle's house, plus the amount of trees everywhere could indicate this is alttp prequel, years before the larger settlement. Maybe the volcano will die down during the story, before it can erupt.
Sure, but also the very same picture has a huge volcano where the Lost Woods should be. Maybe it's the same place at a different time, or maybe they will have a "the world was transformed" gimmick to the story. Or maybe even they did it as an easter egg for old players and it's a completely new Hyrule (like how Lurelin Village was almost a copy of Outset Island but it really couldn't be the same place)
This needs a lot of clarification. To me, it sounds like they are going after big services that provide music sheets (even making money of it) and not the sheets themselves.
A music sheet is a notation of music you hear, next step would be confiscating our brains for remembering the tunes we've heard
This game sold me on the 3DS with its huge demo. There was so much to do and I really enjoyed its WW-style presentation (GCN Wind Waker). When the Wings of Ruin was announced I was ecstatic they kept the spinoff alive. This remaster should be, at the very least, a great chance to play a fun game for those curious that missed it the first time around
Yes, but I ordered the Asia version. I want it physical but I already own Stories 2. The physical version we got barely makes sense forcing the person to buy a bundle
@GregamanX I never gave Luigi's Mansion 3 a chance because I thought it was more of the same coming from 2. Reading your comment sounds like I was mistaken and I might give 3 a go if I can
I hope everyone looking forward to this gets to enjoy the game. Personally, I felt it was too much of a departure from the ambience of the first game and I didn't enjoy the progress as stage - mission as opposed to (mostly) open exploration
No matter how many patches they release, if you like owning physical games, you are looking for triple the file size to be downloaded than that in the cart. The patches only make the physical version even more obsolete.
With that said, it's nice they didn't give up on it, if anything, for the people that already bought it
Animation looks really good and the art style is cute. Unfortunately, as long as it's laden with "f2p" "battlepass" and "microtransactions" I'm steering clear
I play Nintendo games full aware of the graphical and performance "limitations". I keep coming back to them because I like their unique spin and fun take on gaming.
So long as the game is playable, I don't need high definition graphics and 60fps. First party games rarely ever have performance problems
Sounds like Tunic if Tunic put a gun on your forehead and kept shouting to hurry up and solve the puzzles. I'm still interested, but I will wait for the patches and see
I've made my peace with the fact I will probably never play a Trails game despite the good reviews solely because I'm that kind of gamer that likes to play through all entries in a new series I dive in. I just can't jump through all the hoops necessary to stitch the story together
Ive been hoping TTYD's success would lift the veil from the face of whoever thought this was a good direction for a series deeply rooted in story and character interaction
@Ryu_Niiyama some companies see DLC drip as a way to keep early buyers engaged for months to come after release. My personal stance ends up being much more similar to yours. If I'm on the fence on a game and they announce the full story will only be available 9-12 months after release it shifts my decision towards waiting out (and maybe grab it at a discount)
Personally, I don't find this too ugly. It's just I don't think those big black round eyes always work, especially with characters that don't have dark colored irises
Glad for the generation that couldn't play this on the original system and for those that skipped it back them. Gems like this should be made available on newer consoles just like that
If Mewtwo stops the ball in the air does it count as a block? If, in sequence, Mewtwo put the ball through the hoop with his mind but without touching it, who scores?

Re: Soapbox: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Won't Be The Franchise's 'BOTW Moment', And That's Okay
Experiment too much and we might have a "Sticker Star moment".
Many said it above and I echo the sentiment: Metroid had its BotW moment with Prime, 20 years ago
