I'm sure this is a fun game despite missing the demo. Thing is I have very little free time to play games, I haven't been able to fully enjoy MK World and DK Bananza, and Pokemon Legends Z-A is right around the corner.
Some people might argue about "few games" and "dry times", perhaps rightfully so, but to me there is never enough time to play the handful of games I really want to play

They kept the same illustrator. I read in other articles that they've opened up about it in a tweet in japanese that sometimes the company ask the illustrator to trace the sketches they provide but this time they sent them some fan art by mistake and that it wasn't the illustrator's fault.
All that makes my think TPC keeps a vault of fan art they like

Man, I own the OG trilogy and was taking my sweet time to start Ryza 2 after only recently beating the first one. I don't have it in me to buy the DX Trilogy knowing I have perfectly playable games sitting there that would go unplayed. On the other hand, I always want to experience the extra content they add to remakes/remasters...

I'm personally subscribed to the theory that Nintendo intends to keep feeding MKW with "free" updates, hence the higher price tag. The conspiracy won me over when people mentioned that both DK and Pauline own only a single alt costume, coupled with Bananza recent release, they might go about adding new stuff as they release new games, so that MKW always feel "up to date" without spoiling future plans for upcoming releases

I love it when they make the amiibo stuff obtainable by other methods ingame. This the way, no matter if the other option is either hard or tedious

I kinda want to buy this just to support this practice

I had it preordered for a while assured that no review could dissuade me from having fun with but it's always good to hear from a trusted source that this going to be a stellar game.

I'm a "physical first" consumer, but I will compromise with digital when availability of physical media or prices make it hard to obtain. I'm also the kind of gamer that doesn't sell his used games.

The only pros I see for key cards is the possibility of reselling your "digital" game. And then tons of cons compared to digital games. I'd rather buy digital over and over again, at least I can expect discounts instead of paying premium for a resellable download code in a box

I hope there is an upgrade option for owners of the original. WE're seeing a lot of repacks with extra content of games from 2 years ago and I don't see myself paying the Switch 2 game price for a game I already own

Edit: I personally don't like key cards because they combine the worst of physical (the need of the game cart in the slot to play the game) and digital (the need to download the game to your internal storage). If I'm going to download it to the console then I'd rather buy digital so I can access it at any time

I've been sleeping on this game for too long. By coincidence I just heard a song from Deltarune the other day and it reminded me a lot of stuff I enjoyed in Undertale

So people who pirate games on current gen consoles (in this case, a console which isn't even 1 month old) brick their consoles and then resell them to unsuspecting customers. Their own lack of morals is damaging the secondhand market

Personally I also like it better without crossover characters but I think there are more mainstream Mario characters to be added, like the Koopalings and maybe Diddy Kong without delving too deep into the DK franchise.
I hope they add more characters and costumes in future updates. Imagine what they could do for the secondary characters? Cow wearing a cowboy hat, CheepCheep wearing a hachimaki

I love me a good lore and I see a lot of creative and fun theories in here, but I think Nintendo is simply not taking the original DK Arcade into account. They will probably link it to Odyssey.

I can't find the Pro Controller 2 around here so I've been playing with the S1 Pro controller and it's been fine so far, except I can't start the S2 from my chair

Yeah, I'm old and I've been playing MK since the snes, but... what else were they expecting? Why would they waste their Wild Draw 4 if they are already winning..?

The single player DLC for 2 and 3 looked pretty good, just imagine what an entire game dedicated to it could be!

I've been largely ignoring this game, wondering if my pc could handle it but I can't deny my interest in it. Maybe I will finally bite with this S2 release. Huge thanks to CDPR for not using game key cards.
