Re: The Best Nintendo Switch 2 Games

Anti-Matter

I don't have Switch 2 yet but I think Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar is my choice for the best Switch 2 games so far.... until it will get ported to PS5 like Story of Seasons Pioneer of Olive Town from Switch to PS4.

Wait a minute.
What happened with Final Fantasy Tactics Remake that I knew from from PS1 version?
Why they changed the content into more mature until got rated CERO C / PEGI 16 / still ESRB TEEN?
I saw Blood mentioned from ESRB descriptor. What was going on with this change?
Final Fantasy Tactics that I knew from PS1 didn't even have that inappropriate contents.
Which part from the remake that should I aware?

@AmplifyMJ
Oh, here is what happened.
When I have Nintendo Switch in late 2017, my fanboism with Nintendo suddenly increased and at the same time I was intrigued to get more PS4 games after I ate my words because I was against PS4 due to my lack knowledge about kids games I can get from PS4 and during that time I didn't have that much interest level with other games genre I have never played even they are for kids. Fast forward, I ended by purchased PS4 Slim machine in April 2018 with a few PS4 games. The reason I purchased PS4 machine during that time because I ate my words after I found FF XII The Zodiac Age will be on PS4, I was speechless added with other games I found like The Sims 4 and Portal Knights , it was completely changed my mind from hating PS4 for no reason suddenly became curious to play some PS4 games.

But my fanboism with Switch 1 really made me blinded after more games from PS4 get ported to Switch 1 during year 2018 and 2019 like FF XII TZA, World of Final Fantasy MAXIMA, FF X/X-2 HD, FF 7+8 Remastered, FF 9 Remastered, the best port era.

When I get blinded by my fanboism with Switch 1, it made me half hearted to own PS4 and it made me to sell one by one of my PS4 games that get ported to Switch 1 until I said if The Sims 4 get ported to Switch 1, I will be done with PS4 and completely sell my PS4 machine. That was the moment of my PS4 in peril until when I was watching EA presentation in July 2019, I was hoping EA will reveal about The Sims 4 for Switch. But the moment I have been waiting for didn't even happened. Instead, The Sims 4 will NEVER get ported to Switch 1. That was really devastating news and I felt really crumbled. Then I realized I made a huge mistake by selling almost all my PS4 games until only 2 games left (FF XII TZA and Portal Knights). After I felt terrible due to my fanboism with Switch 1, I suddenly put my love back to PS4 by purchasing the DLC for The Sims 4 PS4 for the first time to console myself. Right after I realized my huge mistake, I bought again the games I have sold to recover my PS4 games library.

But during year 2022, I keep finding more disappointing stuffs from 3rd party games on Switch 1 such as downgraded quality, code in box, partial download, streaming only. Those situations suddenly made me less impressed with 3rd party games on Switch 1 and it made me get impressed more with PS4 / PS5 version instead for better performance.
In year 2023 and 2024, I became less and less impressed with Switch 1 for keep finding disappointing stuffs for 3rd party games on Switch 1.
I bought PS5 Fat in June 2024 and it was the BEST PlayStation machine I have ever purchased. Some of my PS4 games that really struggle in performance even on PS4 machine suddenly got performance boost to 60 fps on my PS5 machine and no additional cost to get 60 fps boost.

During year 2025, right after the Direct of Switch 2 in April 2025, the game key card was my biggest disappointment ever from Nintendo and the more I hear from Switch 2, the more I felt disinterested with Switch 2.
When Switch 2 get released, the huge sales of Switch 2 that overshadowing PS5 sales didn't make me feel happy as I thought Switch 2 didn't feel the right machine I want to play at the moment until I see the revision of the battery life, more game card release for 3rd party games and a new Animal Crossing for Switch 2.

Well, that was the reason I love my PS5.

@molkom
Nope.
All my PS5 purchased games in physical have all game data inside the disc since I don't play AAA games with gargantuan GB size. I only play 3rd party kids games with smaller GB size like Barbie, Paw Patrol, Fantasy Life I, etc.
They still need the updates after installation from the disc but I got a few of them don't need any update since they have the latest update version from the disc and that's great.

@Pillowpants
It's because I'm not interested to give comment about Switch 1 & 2 sales that really outselling PS5 sales.
It's a great sales, but I felt Switch 1 and 2 were disappointing me from certain reasons after I got PS5.
Switch 1 disappointment from underpowered quality, code in box, partial download, streaming only games.
Switch 2 disappointment from game key card issue, overpriced in every nook & cranny, backward compatibility issue, etc.
Also, it's mentioned the PS5 sales as well on this website Nintendolife so I have rights to give my positive comments about PS5 sales since this article only on Nintendolife, not on PushSquare.

I felt more interested to give support on other console that still deserve for more love and currently I have more hype with PS5 after I purchased Fantasy Life I and bought some DLC for my The Sims 4 on PS5.

Side note, I still like my Switch V1 I bought in year 2017 but if I compared with my PS5, PS5 is way much better machine to play my 3rd party kids games than on Switch 1.
Switch 2 doesn't look like the right machine I want to play at the moment until I see the revision with better battery life, more games released in proper game card (hell no to game key card) and new Animal Crossing for Switch 2.

Re: Review: Kirby And The Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World - Kirby's Best Shines Even Brighter

Anti-Matter

Well, the Kirby looks cute.
The gameplay was similar as Skylanders with locked camera angle in 3D environments, but after I finished this Kirby game, I (almost) never revisit the game since I don't have that much interest with Kirby franchise. I played Kirby games started from Star Allies just for curiosity and I found not really hyped with the game.
To see the Switch 2 version with 60 fps, kinda tempting but I think I may consider the Switch 2 version for double dip several years later.
Not kind of game that made me really WOW.

Re: Rumour: A Nintendo Direct Is Reportedly Coming Ahead Of Mario's 40th Anniversary

1. I don't hate Mario games.
I have quite a lot of Mario games in different genres such as Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Paper Mario Sticker Stars, Paper Mario Color Splash, Paper Mario Origami King, Paper Mario TTYD (GameCube + Switch version), Super Mario 3D Land, Super Mario 3D World, New Super Mario Bros U (Wii U + Switch version), Super Mario Bros WONDERS, Mario Party Superstars, Super Mario Party Jamboree, Mario Party games on 3DS, Mario & Sonic games (Wii, Wii U, Switch), etc.
The reason I sold my 3D All Stars because I don't like the primitive 3D graphic of Mario 64 and the gameplay kinda pretty frustrating from I heard so I don't even like Mario 64.
Mario Sunshine FLUDD aiming was terrible, felt way harder to aim than aiming weapon from other games I played like Ratchet & Clank. I stop caring about Mario Sunshine since then.
For Super Mario Galaxy 1, since I already have the Wii version, added with the gameplay feature that I hate the most (All my cumulative lives back to 4 or 5 lives everytime I load the game) and unpleasant way to beat the final boss, after I finished the Wii version I don't feel want to revisit the game.

2. I played a lot of games in different genres.
Rhythm, Life Sim, Farming sim, Racing, 3D platformer, 2D platformer, Party, RPG, Tactics, Fighting, Other Sports, Action Adventure, Beat em Up, etc.
All the games I played are kids games only with a few of rated Teen games and mostly I played 3rd party games.
The only 3D platformer Mario games I enjoyed the most is Super Mario Odyssey as the gameplay was easier (less restrictions) than the other 3D Mario games.
About Mario franchise, I admit I have lesser hype with Mario than other 3D platformer franchise like Kao the Kangaroo, Ratchet & Clank, etc as they have more interesting character design, more interesting storyline, more interesting gameplay than 3D Mario games.

Re: Former PlayStation Head Praises Nintendo For Being "In Touch With Their Fan Base"

What do you mean PlayStation games have lesser diversity games genre than Nintendo games?
I played DDR games on PS1, PS2 & PS3 (Rhythm games).
I played The Sims games on PS2, PS3 & PS4 (Life Sim games).
I played Harvest Moon / Story of Seasons games + other similar farming sim games on PS2, PS4 & PS5 (Farming sim games).
I played 3D platformer games like Ratchet & Clank, Kao the Kangaroo, VEXX, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, etc on PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5.
I played RPG games like FF 8, FF 9, FF 10, FF 10-2, FF 12, FF 13, Kingdom Hearts, Ni no Kuni, etc on PlayStation machines.
I played Move games on PS3.
I played girlie games like Barbie, My Little Pony, Cooking Mama, etc on PS4 & PS5.
I played a lot of different genre games on PlayStation machines, of course that only for kids and teenager.

Re: Developers Reportedly Still Struggling To Get Switch 2 Dev Kits

Anti-Matter

But... I thought it can be a good thing for certain games.
For example, the games by Outright Games.
I keep my eyes on the games released by Outright Games from their YouTube channel and I found their upcoming release games still haven't available the Switch 2 version.
Their games so far only released on
Switch 1, PS4 / PS5, XBOX and Steam.
The absence of Switch 2 version of the games by Outright Games made me thinking whether the developers for Outright Games haven't get the developer kits for Switch 2 yet or Outright Games as the publisher still thinking twice about the game key card situation for Switch 2.
For me, it can be a good thing since the games must be released especially for Switch 1 version with proper size of cartridge. But of course I will pick the PS5 version for 60 fps performance than the Switch 1 version with 30 fps performance.
I curious to see how Outright Games will sell their games for Switch 2 once the developers get the developer kits. Will Outright Games still using proper cartridge size or they will choose game key card?
But since every games from Outright Games I purchased are the PS4 / PS5 version, so.... I don't really care the Switch 1 and 2 version.

@spiderman0616
Here is the things I found from Mario 3D All Stars.
I don't even like with rough 3D textures from Mario 64 so I completely didn't touch that game whatsoever.
For Mario Sunshine, the FLUDD aiming control was terrible and I completely felt difficult to aim the water gun toward enemies. I thought aiming weapon in Ratchet & Clank games was way much easier than FLUDD since I have ever played Ratchet & Clank. I stopped caring about Mario Sunshine since then as I felt it wasn't the game for me.
For Mario Galaxy, I found the missing part for the minor things, the absence of Mii for Switch version. The Wii version allow you using Mii avatars as your Save data Planet icon, but it was absent in Switch version.
But since I already have the Wii version and have finished the game.... with unpleasant way, so I thought having the Wii version is already enough for me.
Well, that was the reason I sold my Mario 3D All Stars.

Re: Rumour: A Nintendo Direct Is Reportedly Coming Ahead Of Mario's 40th Anniversary

Anti-Matter

I will not wait Mario 40th anniversary.
I already sold Mario 3D All Stars as Mario Sunshine gameplay was terrible in term of controlling the FLUDD, Mario 64 didn't even look enticing to play, I already finished Super Mario Galaxy 1 Wii version in unpleasant way so I don't need that 35th anniversary celebration and moreover the 40th anniversary.
I already have Mario Galaxy 2 Wii version and still not finished yet with again... unpleasant way of gameplay.
Even if Mario Galaxy 2 available on Switch 2 from 40th anniversary, I will not buy the game.

There was Rhythm game by CAPCOM with the idea from former KONAMI artist, Naoki Maeda when he was working at CAPCOM after his departure from KONAMI in year 2013.
The game was CROSS X BEATS which you must tap the corresponded virtual buttons on touch screen monitor like OSU.
