Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Super Mario Galaxy + Galaxy 2?

Anti-Matter

I'm different.
I think both of them are 5 from 10.
Why?
Because I don't like the gimmick in the game that reversing back all of your accumulated multiple Mario lives to 4 everytime you Load the game. It just made the game felt harder to play with limited Mario lives and not to mention some of the Galaxy stages are not even fun to replay as they are really damn hard to clear and caused lost of multiple Mario lives for doing tiny mistakes.
I still sour with both of games, even from Wii version I already have.

Re: SEGA Announces New Olympic Merch Collab, Reigniting Hopes Of A Mario & Sonic Comeback

Anti-Matter

Oh here is the thing.
Actually I prefer the SEGA Olympic Games with normal human players, not by Mario & Sonic gangs as I can edit my own player fit to my taste and the only sport I really want exist in the game is BOXING since this sport still being underappreciated.
I don't care with mainstream sports like soccer (I hate this sport), basketball, rugby, American Football, etc as I will never touch those sports.
But I have interest more by the athletics sports like 100 m Dash, 110 m Hurdle, Swimming, Tennis, Beach Volleyball, etc.
And for Mario & Sonic version, I really want Mii return as playable character with tons of unlockable outfits. I don't want silly looking outfits for my Mii, I want cool sporty looking outfits.

@MJF
But the fact Nintendo have to fix those games compatibility rather than being naturally emulated on Switch 2, to me the Switch 2 Backward Compatibility looked worse than previous Nintendo machines which have better Backward compatibility with previous games.

Re: More Switch Games Get Switch 2 Compatibility Fixes

@Sambuc
Backward Compatibility is still important for certain gamers.
Me for example, I really need Backward Compatibility from Wii machine to play GameCube games since GameCube games are generally pretty weak for my taste compared with Wii games so having Backward Compatibility is very economic choice since you can play two different games on one machine.
3DS BC on New 3DS, machine boosted the sound of the games from both 3DS and NDS games. NDS games look better played on New 3DS machine than the native NDS machine.

Re: More Switch Games Get Switch 2 Compatibility Fixes

Anti-Matter

It seems Switch 2 Backward Compatibility system is way different than previous machines.
It looks like doesn't emulate the previous game perfectly on newer machine.
Wii machine to play GameCube games, Wii U to play Wii games, 3DS to play NDS games, NDS to play GBA games have way much better Backward Compatibility system than Switch 2.

Re: Mario Kart World And Donkey Kong Bananza Shortlisted For 'Console Game Of The Year'

@ShadLink
I personally still prefer PlayStation style controller since I grew up by Dance Dance Revolution games on PS1 & PS2 which have button placement of D-Pad and Action commands exactly like DDR panel position.
Maybe Nintendo controller style are good for playing different games but NOT good for playing DDR games
Even XBOX controller style with asymmetrical analog button placement is same worse as Nintendo style controller and I felt quite difficult to play DDR UNIVERSE 1 game on XBOX 360 with XBOX 360 controller as the D- Pad buttons for XBOX is placed lower and I quite struggled to press the D-Pad on XBOX 360 controller with asymmetrical analog button position.

Again, it's depend on people gaming experience to tell which controller is the best.

Well, my PS5 machine is literally only for playing 3rd party KIDS games by 99.99% like BLUEY, Barbie, Paw Patrol, BRATZ, etc when the 3rd party games on Switch 1 have worse performance than PS5 version or the Switch 2 version is Game key card so it will be 100% I will pick the PS5 version instead.
Also, I don't care with PS5 games on PC.
I don't play like typical adult male gamers which only care for AAA Adult games.
I don't play games like that so my PS5 machine is only for playing KIDS games.
I only have one 1st party PS5 game, it's Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart.
It's the only 1st party kids games I accept.

Also, after pandemic I don't really care that much about portability if Switch 1 or Switch 2 version have worse performance than PS4 / PS5 version.
I have a lot of NON Portable gaming device in my gaming room like PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5, Wii, Wii U and I'm fine with them being NON Portable.
I don't have to bring all my games outside and show off to other people.

@roy130390
But if I compared Switch 2 with PS5 in term of their Backward Compatibility, PS4 games are 99% compatible with PS5 machine and some of them get native performance boost to 60 fps for Free without further update or free update patch. It boosted from the PS5 power.
But when I see Switch 2 Backward Compatibility, I saw some of Switch 1 games have some issue on Switch 2, even some of them cannot be played on Switch 2 like Overcooked games. The Backward Compatibility of Switch 2 looks half baked than PS5.
I still think Switch OLED is better than Switch 2 in term it's battery life and the usage of normal micro SD card that cheaper than micro SD card Express.
And not to mention the infamous Game Key card situation for Switch 2.
It made me sour with Switch 2 for the 3rd party games on Switch 2.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (4th October)

Anti-Matter

Good morning.
This weekend I played Wii U and PS5 games. 😊

1. Animal Crossing : Amiibo Festival Wii U
Untitled

I have unlocked Advanced Maps and have finished the first Advanced Map in Amiibo Festival from Desert Island Escape minigame. I think I can make my own style of Desert Island Escape as my own board game.

2. BRATZ: RHYTHM & STYLE PS5
Untitled

I have finished the game just now.
It was pretty short game, I could finished the game within 4 - 5 hours.
The game was pretty decent with very standard world exploration in limited area + locked camera angle.
The Rhythm style game was consist 3 different style Rhythm games.
The first is Catwalk session.
You have to press the D-Pad button scheme finished with action command during the catwalk session.
Iit seems you have to input the Street Fighter style special attack command by following the music LOL.
The second is Pose challenge by pressing the Action command buttons that coming from four different direction like the first American Idol gameplay style on PS2.
The third is DDR style Rhythm game with songs from BRATZ and the scroll is Reversed which means the fallen star shaped arrows came from up to bottom.
The fashion style you wear in this BRATZ game just only for dress code purpose to participate in Pose Duel and the DDR style Rhythm game.

@molkom
Well, actually it just only decoration after I played the PS5 version and I finished the game just now.
About the actual gameplay, the star shaped notes fallen down from up to bottom with gameplay like DDR with scroll Reverse with two new gimmicks: Repeated press note like Taiko no Tatsujin and the Bomb note that you should avoid them.
The songs are All BRATZ songs from old to new.

Re: Review: Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Switch) - Still Out Of This World

Anti-Matter

I still feel sour with both Mario Galaxy games as both of them applied strict assignments by keep reverting your multiple Mario lives back to 4 no matter how many lives I have farm before and I don't like that gimmick.
Is Assist Mode with Double Mario hearts and Auto Bubble to prevent falling to bottomless pit will guarantee can compensate the multiple lives that back to 4 lives everytime I load the game?

Re: Rumour: A Bunch Of LEGO Games Might Get The 'Switch 2 Edition' Treatment Soon

Anti-Matter

Nope.
I already have three version (four version if added with 3DS version) of LEGO CITY UNDERCOVER.
Wii U, Switch 1 and PS4 version.
I have finished the storyline for all those 3 version so I don't even need the Switch 2 version.
Even I have tested LEGO CITY UNDERCOVER on my PS5, the performance during open world was still 30 fps, not 60 fps. The only version which open world section can reach 60 fps is PC version.
But I already content to be played on Wii U, Switch 1 & PS4.
