Okay, now I’m starting to get itchy for news.

Up until now I had been perfectly happy waiting but all the recent activity is starting to get to me

I think we can all agree, this is one that absolutely deserves to be taken down.

I played the demo, was pretty fun, but I thought there was a lack of… hmmm, I don’t know how to word it.
Like… some basic, relatively easy things were missing. Like, the opening boss fight had next to no sound effects. This giant robot arm thing writhing with no sound whatsoever.

Maybe they’ll fix that by the full release. I still had a decent time with the demo, but the lack of polish has downgraded it from a possible day one purchase to a “I’ll wait for a sale”.

Well, that word has been so overused that people just use it when they want something to either sound “really cool” or “garbage”.

Bad A** is like super cool. But looks/smells/plays like A** means it’s garbage.

Can anyone see why that might be confusing?

This industry really is struggling, isn’t it?

Boy, he says that a lot… we love to do this, we’d love to do that… and then show absolutely no evidence they actually want to do that

I’m looking forward to it, shaping up nicely!

So, the main criticism for this new entry in an old series is that it plays like the other entires in this series. Admittedly, fair enough, it sounds like some modernisation could be useful. But, at the same time, it is Famicom detective club, not switch detective club. You’d expect it to feel like it’s an upgraded NES title. To expect otherwise may be a bit optimistic.

I don’t care if nobody has ever pulled you up for it before, just be… not rude. It’s free, you’re more likely to earn respect, at least from people who’s respect is worthwhile having anyway.

Ah, I do love building a good Lego set, one of the simple pleasures of life.

Like a lot of simple pleasures, it can be quite expensive

I admittedly feel a little self conscious counting my library… I suppose the system is going for 8 years and I’ve been there almost since launch, makes sense I’ve got a sizeable library

Have the sales of the remake slowed to the point where this is allowed by the higher ups?

I think the developer newsletters on a regular basis is a great touch. Having updates on what’s currently being worked on, what progress has been made since last time, breaking down what needs to be done to be launched simultaneously on all systems in dual languages…

It makes the wait more bearable than announcing a project and then going radio silent for years. It lets us know they are working on it, and progress is being made.

I wish more developers would consider doing this!

Hmmmmmm… risky publishing mods for a game still being actively maintained by Nintendo

Well, this raises a few ethical concerns…

I mean, I’m not losing sleep waiting for the next system to come out, but if there’s something on it I want to play at launch, I’ll pick it up. If not, I’ll wait until there is.

Great game, fantastic battle mechanics, themes, music, loads of good stuff.

Although, a lot of the overworld level design is kinda… underwhelming. Lots of rectangular rooms with not much in them. Fortunately, the whole package more than makes up for it

Be nice, be kind, be considerate. Not easy to do when something gets under your skin, but it’s something to aim for.

Deliberately attacking/cyber bullying someone is an absolute no no and should be dealt with accordingly.
