Original [Wed 4th Sep, 2024 00:30 BST]:
We're almost at the tail end of 2024 which means we're getting closer to the release of Mario & Luigi: Brothership this November. Nintendo has been busy promoting the game this week with new information and a brand-new trailer, and now we've got some more news to share.
It seems new pre-order deals have been announced. One of these worth highlighting is an offer available to anyone who purchases the game from Micromania in France. As noted by Nintendo Wire, if you pre-order the game from this store you will receive a special steelbook as a bonus. As you can see below, it's got Mario on the front and Luigi on the back:

It's still early days for this upcoming release, so if we hear any similar pre-orders announced locally, we'll be sure to let you know. Right now, pre-orders are also available on the Nintendo eShop and sites like Playasia. This title can also be redeemed with an NSO game voucher.

Oh my word I’m a sucker for steel book dvds and I SOOOO wish they made them more often for Nintendo games. Come on, Nintendo, I’d pay twenty bucks extra!
Looks pretty cool, might get it if it comes to the US
These look awesome, somewhat basic design but it looks SO nice!
There's been quite a few M&L Brothership articles recently, very nice to see!
Oh god I need that so bad! I need it!
Alright, this one is COOL! I’ll get it if it’s available where I live.
If this is Europe only I will be angy.
I really like the new art style on M & L and that steelbook displays it well.
My one criticism of this game's visuals so far is that the gradient effect on the characters' eyes makes them look extremely soulless up close, so I'm okay not having a blown-up version of that.
I have to have it. I have to. Please
Looks okay I guess. Kinda wish they did some special 2D art for it instead of just these renders.
Oooooooo… been a couple of years since I picked up a preorder steel book. If it’s at the retailer I usually get steel books from, I’ll pick it up
Steel books are kind of lame to me. I don't ever put the games in them, and they just take up space. The can crush easy, and scratch easy if you move the game out of your shelf a lot. Not to mention rusting. I don't know if they've overcome the rust issue, but halo 2 on Xbox amd Final Fantasy xii on ps2 come to mind with steel books that if you find them today are usually crushed or rusted or both.
As someone who has a game room that was already full 10 years ago, and only gets worst, these aren't really my favorite. I'd rather those dumb acrylic displays. Those I may display. Like most things in a collectors box or preorder bonus related, it stays in the box never to be used or seen. Waste of effort.
Knock some money off the price as a bonus, I'd like that more.
@tylerryan79 Not too mention them being prone to denting. Especially when you order online & they (for the most part) get dented thru rough handling/shipping.
I've had friends who complained about receiving some of them in bad shape.
Humph...hard pass for me. Besides, steelbooks tend to be a headache for me to get anyhow.
It's funny how steel gets dented so easily. Would a switch to tungsten or titanium help? Carbyne? Or maybe we need stone books? Or... marble books. Onyx books! No, wait, I got it... DIAMOND BOOKS! There... I solved it, guys!
That's a cool preorder bonus, fingers crossed it will become available also elsewhere for those interested (not me as I'm fine with having preordered just the game discounted from my trusty retailer here in Italy)!
No way man I'd DO things for that steelbook. Dunno if it's worth the shipping all the way from France though
@jedgamesguy Bear in mind that, to Micromania, "While stocks last" mean to them that they will keep showing the preorder bonus even if it's sold out. Happened to me twice. They suck.
@Pipulitoch yeah I used to live in France and dealt with micromania in the past, they’re pretty middling from what I vaguely remember.
Never bought a steelbook, and I don't know if I'll get this game, but this looks really nice!
I know it's a really simple design but it looks so clean!
I agree that the design is a little bit basic; I would have appreciated more of the island or ocean graphics sprinkled in.
However, I admit the clean design will look classy propped up on any display shelf, so that's always nice! Still looks great, and hopefully it's available in every region.
dang this looks so cool! I WANT ITTTT
If you build a house with steelbooks on the edge of the demesne land, and finish construction by dawn of the following day, the land under the new abode is yours by common right.
I hope that comes to the US, that looks nice. I'm happy to support this game so more Mario & Luigi titles can be made in the future.
@AmyTheBrawler sadly we never get nice preorders in the US anymore. Those days are over. Bummer to see cool preorder stuff on the UK Nintendo Store website and other retailers and we get…nothing…boring acrylic stand plastic junk…
I could be tempted by that Steelbook, but there are no pre-order bonuses in Australia as of yet.
@Pipulitoch : That indeed monumentally sucks. At least Australian vendors will remove the pre-order bonus notice from product pages once they're pre-sold out.
Not a fan with the steelbook background design.
Love to see the steelbook available in at least one more location for those interested!
honestly wouldn't shock me if aus didn't get any preorder bonus at all. haven't seen any for mario party either and that's only a week out from release
It is baffling me how much people are freaking out over the simplest of design lol.
It's pretty, so I want it.(I need it just in case Mario and Luigi disappear forever this time)
Wish the US was getting the steelbook
I was just saying the other day that Nintendo needs a Steel Book for each and every AAA Nintendo release. Imagine one for every game considered AAA. This case looks absolutely amazing! I'd give an extra 15 or so bucks for every release if I had to, just to get steel book cases for Switch games.
Canada once again gets fk-all. Sigh... 😢
