I love paper Mario. I would love it if everyone gave it a go to see if it’s for them

If this was one of the other triple A companies, I would expect several waves of layoffs at this point

I mean, I was always buying this game regardless of any review score.
I know this website gave a 4/10 to a certain game that I love to bits, so I know full well never to take reviews entirely at their word.

You can use them as a rough guage, but you will be the best person to judge if it’s for you or not.

I’m not entirely sure why you’d go to the effort, but I ain’t complaining

I won’t be, I’m sure it’s a quality title, it just doesn’t fall into my limited wheelhouse

It may have been patched now, but the launch of this game on switch was not great. The in game shop, which you are supposed to access from the level select was flat out inaccessible.

It’s fun though, I want a copy of the soundtrack, but man, the version 1.0 was rooooouuugggghhh

Question, has anyone had issues with the “a” button/similar equivalent is sometimes unresponsive?

I thought it was my controller, but it’s happened when my joycon is vertical and horizontal (meaning it’s not the same button each time).

Anyone else had that, or is it just me?

It’s a grave they’ve been digging for years. And unlike EA, who is able to get away with it because of their golden football shaped goose, Ubisoft don’t have than kind of game to keep them afloat when making dumb/greedy decision.

Maybe the Best way to describe it might be “messunderstood”?

Here’s hoping it goes well… developers leaving to set up their own studio has a mixed track record…

Okay, now I’m starting to get itchy for news.

I played the demo, was pretty fun, but I thought there was a lack of… hmmm, I don’t know how to word it.
Like… some basic, relatively easy things were missing. Like, the opening boss fight had next to no sound effects. This giant robot arm thing writhing with no sound whatsoever.

Maybe they’ll fix that by the full release. I still had a decent time with the demo, but the lack of polish has downgraded it from a possible day one purchase to a “I’ll wait for a sale”.

Well, that word has been so overused that people just use it when they want something to either sound “really cool” or “garbage”.

Bad A** is like super cool. But looks/smells/plays like A** means it’s garbage.

Can anyone see why that might be confusing?

This industry really is struggling, isn’t it?
