I wonder if they could do amiibo that have a game on it in the style of Game Key Cards. Scanning the amiibo could allow you to play the game until you turn the Switch 2 off or put it in sleep mode. They could probably add a button to do a verification like they have on authenticator dongles to try and prevent piracy.
And here I thought they just repositioned the IR scanner from the OG JoyCon to a position where players and devs could actually use it (instead of it being a dead feature outside of Labo, Ring Fit Adventure and 1 2 Switch.) Innovation through reorganisation, I like it.
Though it does make me wish they'd add a scroll wheel like Sakurai suggested.
It could've been ok but the 10 fps limit on it kinda kills it. This feature is also on PS5 without the frame limit and I use it sometimes with my friend doing missions online in GTA. (I'd use it more but it's a hassle to remember where it is in the menu and set it up.)
It's actually pretty cool to see what he's up to in real time and helpful when we have to coordinate takedowns of groups of enemies in the stealth sections so we don't set off the alarm and spawn in enemy reinforcements.
I mean if someone could make an adapter so you could use the Switch 1 acessories that use rails (such as the original Joy-Cons and the NES controller) and attach, charge and sync them to the Switch 2 I'd be interested in that.
I'm like a 40 min train ride from ACMI and already had plans of going to the Game Worlds exhibition anyway, so Silksong being playable there is like icing on the cake.
I'm confused. Do we have to do a system transfer to Switch 2 to get our Switch 1 digital library on Switch 2 (practically wiping the Switch 1 in the process), or can we just log in on the Switch 2 and download our digital games that way (not effecting the Switch 1 at all)?
Meanwhile in Australia there's plenty available to preorder.
You can get them from JB, EB, Big W and even Nintendo if you meet the requirements. Hell you can even get them from Officeworks which doesn't typically sell game consoles.
Oh by the way I don't mean they were available for a few minutes and sold out, I mean you can go on their sites and order them right now. So over here there seems to be plenty of stock and they're selling them everywhere.
@SillyG I managed to get the Street Fighter amiibo, SF amiibo cards and a Gamecube controller when the store went back up from Nintendo AU too.
I didn't know they were exclusive to the My Nintendo Store over here and I wouldn't have even known to check yesterday if it wasn't for a comment you posted in another article so thanks for that. 👍
If I log into the Switch 2 with my Nintendo ID will it have my Switch 1 profile and allow me to redownload my Switch 1 games on Switch 2 (while keeping my Switch 1 the same), or do I have to transfer my profile over from the Switch 1 like we had to to get our Wii profiles onto the Wii U (and lose my games from Switch 1)
Sorry but that "instant input" argument against analogue triggers is bull since you can just register the input at something low like a 5% trigger press instead of a full press. It also makes driving games or other games that rely on adjusting an input's sensitivity not as easy to implement on the system.
Also having smooth-gliding control sticks instead of implementing something to remove stick drift comes across as tone deaf to what consumers have complained (and gone to court) about.
Look, I like Nintendo and I will be getting a Switch 2, but these decisions are just disappointing. 😔
It was good to see more of Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, and the Pac Man game. There were a few games that I'd get when they're on sale such as the new Rhythm Heaven and Tomodachi Life games.
The restrictions on digital games sharing disguised as a fun new feature was a pretty big turn off for me, and I don't have much interest in the Nintendo Today app as I already go to other sites to get info on new games and movies etc.
Overall I don't think it was worth staying up to 1:30am for.
I currently have multiple family member's accounts on my Switch. I can download any game they have purchased onto my Switch. I can play any game I have downloaded on my Switch using any account on my Switch. I haven't tried playing a game purchased on one account on multiple Switches at the same time so I don't know if there are currently any limitations on that. 🤷♂️
The new method wants to change that...
From what I understand the new method wants to lock purchased games to one primary game console. It wants to make it so you can "lend" it to one other secondary console for 2 weeks...
If how I understand this is correct then it seems like they are limiting the existing system for how we access and share digital games with our family members, and I am not happy about it.
I was thinking about it and there might need to be a new NES/Famicom NSO controller since the current ones with rails on them wouldn't work for long on the Switch 2 unless you charged them up on a Switch or recharging stand.
The Japanese one doesn't read well. The bright light and logo makes it hard to see the card underneath at first glance (it took me a while to realise it was a pokemon card and not just a weird picture of a pokeball). The varied energy ball sizes are good though, but overall it looks like a cluttered mess.
The international one looks boring but at least you can clearly see the pokemon card logo. It's a bit annoying that there's another pokemon card on it too.
I liked really Castlevania Lords of Shadow, but I didn't enjoy it sequels that much. I love the ones like Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood. My favourite one is Harmony of Despair on the 360 because of the multiplayer so you could team up to beat bosses and the whole castle being on the screen with different paths to the treasure and bosses.
I liked drawing hints for how to get collectables in a level, or taking a screenshot then writing or drawing a funny caption for it. That's what I miss about Miiverse, and I'd be ecstatic if they brought it back or did a new version of it.
If they're going with this design for DK in the games where he's a guest character, then they're going to have to make a new Donkey Kong game with this art style.
I'd like them to do Harmony of Despair on modern consoles. I enjoy the multiplayer in that one and the whole levels being one big castle that the boss can chase you around in.
It's one of my favourite Castlevanias, but the 360 version is basically dead unless you coordinate friends to play with online.
With the 3D print the Joycons were too tall so I'm not convinced it's real. That and the weird blocks sticking out beneath the rear triggers doesn't seem refined enough for retail.
Well get to work on a Game Design Document laying out the direction you want these sequels to go and present it to Capcom along with evidence that people will want to play a sequel to these franchises. I mean that's got to have a better chance of working than filling out a comment in a survey. Put in the leg work man!
@Teksetter @Atariboy The physical standard edition is available from Australia as well from either JB Hi Fi or EB Games. JB's a couple of bucks cheaper.

Re: Game Freak's Upcoming Action RPG Looks Awesome, But Don't Expect It On Switch 2 Yet
I don't know... Looks like it uses game mechanics similar to monster hunter or wild hearts.
Maybe they Capcom or Koei Tecmo should take them to court? ~s🫠

Damn. It seems like every decision Nintendo has made lately has been so anti-consumer.
It feels like you can predict Nintendo's next move by thinking 'What is the worst possible decision they can make?'
Re: ICYMI: Nintendo Reminds Us Game Vouchers Won't Work On Switch 2 Exclusives

Re: Where To Pre-Order Nintendo Switch 2
Just preordered the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle from JB Hi Fi for $769 AU. Can't wait until June 5.

Re: Pokémon TCG Pocket Update To Remove Trade Tokens Following Player Feedback
