Day one buy for me! Still can't fathom why the majorty of the gaming media gave the first game such mid reviews; Alien Isolation remains one of my favourite games of all time.

Looking forward to this one! The last DGM on Switch was a bit on the ugly side with sloppy FPS, so I opted for the PC version. Hoping this outing will better optimised for the Switch 2 ^_^

I would love to see either some more of the cool animation they used in the SMB Galaxy movie in the game, OR perhaps even a few silly puppet cameos.
At the mo, the only really disappointing thing for me is the pitiful 3 levels for multiplayer 😞

Will be nice to see a few varying environments - somewhere like LV-426 with a central comlpex, traversable terrain / tunnels to other areas of interest. I still want it to focus on survival horror, so less focus on hand-held weapons (looking at you flame thrower). I like the idea of mixing up gameplay to include stealth, puzzle, some tower defense (blockades, bottlenecking, traps etc) and some non-linear / metroidvania style sections, so future playthroughs could play out differently.

I would be happier with a 'less is more' approach to storytelling, but the Galaxy movie was very much an overstuffed rollercoaster ride; plenty of thrill and spectacle, but little on every other level. Serviceable, fun, but devoid of heart & soul, making it more of a trailer of all Mario games mashed together. I think Toad from the movie sums it up well Minor Spoiler for a quote ahead 'So some dinosaur just shows up and he's now part of the group. Cool' shrugs

If they are going for a cheese-fest and not taking themselves too seriously, this could be a lot of fun. Also, Eric Andre for a ref?! I'm in!

Still waiting for a patch before I play this one. I'm surprised they haven't really said anything about the controversy and promised some refinements... they kind of just let it go, hoping people would stop talking about it.

I'm looking forward to seeing the wealth of customisable options for the Miis ^_^

Honestly, I could put up with the lack of true AA, the pop in and all that... but those smeared, ugly faces... Hoping they tweak this soon. Not great after we got some rather stellar upgrades for BotW, TotK and SMO.

@Zequio Saaaaaaame. Not totally sold on the aesthetics, but I am expecting tight controls & excellent combat.
I quite like the red & purple mixed with the character silhouettes at around 1:05 in the video.

Well, this is a difficult sell for me. I was kind of relying on the Adventure Mode & extra stuff to differentiate from previous iterations, otherwise, it's just a slightly shinier version Mario Tennis.

Was an instant buy for me! The only things I would have like to seen included was the Bomberman 93, 94 & Mega Bomberman to round off the collection. Otherwise, I am very happy with the effort that has gone into this release. Emulation seems to be great!

@MisterStu I doubt it... or at least I hope not. I think Viacom own the IP, whilst THQNordic have the rights for distribution of the games in this collection. I doubt anyone involved in the original games will benefit from sales either.

Little bit worried about this Flow Aura boost. Just sounds like it will make it harder to make a comeback in the latter stages of a match and goes against the whole idea of balancing.

With lots of anniversaries this year, I would like to see something for Zelda & Pokemon in the next Direct, even if it's some decent ports. Also, can you believe it's been 25 years since Golden Sun launched?! C'mon Ninty, pull the rug from beneath us before the end of your fiscal year ^_^

Pre-sale items like this on eBay from individual / private sellers should be banned. Pretty sure there used to be a clause for this. When Switch 2 was launched, I tried my best to flag / report scalpers, but they kept popping up all the time... ugh.

@a1904 Hullo! Interested to know your thoughts on what characterises or defines a Sony PS exclusive in your eyes. Is it the vibe and genre that MP4 delves into that is a little off-putting to your tastes? When I think of Sony PS exclusives, Astro Bot games stand above the rest for me, which take a huge inspiration from Mario games and other platforming greats; they share common factors like a sense of whimsy with many magic moments, innocence and happiness. I suspect that this game series does deviate from some of the more aformentioned common denominators that the big N injects in the rest of its output. Nothing wrong with your preferences bud - just hoping to expand on your thoughts!
