Yeh, I'm not sold on what I've seen so far. I was concerned at first that all the good reviews on Steam were paid for. Having not played it though, I could be mistaken.

Hopefully, the film won't stray too far from the source material with Miyamoto at the helm, but I imagine it will be its own thing with just references to many of the games to tick all the right boxes.

@dkxcalibur I have to agree with you bud - I tried Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing & subsequent offerings, but couldn't get used to how the vehicles felt. I also thought the majority of the courses and items were lacklustre compared to MK. I know some love it though, so I'm glad it has its fans.
I did used to love Street Racer on the Mega Drive, but the graphics and experience haven't aged well compared to the wonders of Mode 7.

What bothers me the most is that the majority of these 'live' services will be dead on arrival, leaving the hard working people below the suits facing the chopping block.

Interesting that they're not partnering with Universal for this, considering their current relationship. I would imagine it will do wonders for the Japanese stock market and I suspect the joint venture with Sony will mean it's a good test for future Sony game IP to move to the big screen.

@LadyCharlie I played the 3DS Smash entry more than any other due to Smash Run! I would welcome this back with open arms!

Whilst it may be difficult to juggle that many characters again, I still wish we could get a single player campaign to rival that of Subspace Emissary.

This notion of 4K 60FPS needs to stop - expectations are way too high, especially seeing as XBSX and PS5, for the most part, can't handle this. I'd be very happy with 1080p & 60FPS. Realistically, the specs for a Switch 2 are likely to utilise Nvidia's Ampere architecture, so expect specifications somewhere around the base Xbox One or PS4 at best, which is more than enough for a portable / docked hybrid. Let's just focus on the fun factor & quality first party releases (& pretty please with sugar on top, backwards compatibility with some smoothness updates for old titles struggling to reach 30FPS)

Well, at the very least they need to port over the levels / mini-games over from Splatoon 1 to 3 in the DLC.

It's hard to convert the controls when this game and others of its time were meant for the arrow keys and space bar on a keyboard. That being said, I played the PC version a few weeks ago and it felt OK with WASD and mouse, albeit look movement with the mouse feels superfluous.
This is one of my favourite FPS, but it has undeniably dated somewhat. Good review! Hoping to see the like of Hexen and Heretic brought back at some point.

I'm so glad they haven't deviated from the classic design we all know and love today. Lots of companies nowadays spend countless resources on rebranding, stating they are going for a modern look, where in my opinion, it's nothing more than over produced tosh akin to garnishing coffees with over zealous pictures made by a hipster barista.

Seriously though, I think it could work with very minimal to no dialogue, which could work for a lot of age ranges (similar to the appeal of the Minions really). A cute little tale set in an everyday back garden.

I do wonder with Miyamoto's comments whether they're gearing up for a Pikmin movie.
