We will have to be patient as we're unlikley to get confirmation if these are legit or not until at least Feb - March 2025 to coincide with Nintendo's year end. They'll want to sell as many of the OG Switch models as possible this Holiday season.
@iedutu Same! Although I very much enjoyed LA and its lush visuals, you have to endure the FPS when it cuts in half regularly. I would love to play again, but perhaps with boosted performance on the Switch successor.
@Lizuka Lots of games have secrets & surprises that many people would like to experience for themselves, rather than accidentally come across them in a reveal. Granted, it may not be particularly spoilery plot wise for a title like Zelda, but if you consider the puzzles and the mechanics for completing them, it would be a bit like stumbling across a solution which could potentially negate the enjoyment had in solving it for yourself.
For me, I think there's only a handful of games that don't live up to the original playthrough or the nostalgia. Usually, this is due to QoL features, such as camera angles, or controls, especially in the early 3D games (excluding Mario 64). In my experience, Sonic Adventure was borderline unplayable when revisiting on Dreamcast as the controls seemed widely different now that I've been spoilt to modern controls. Obviously, not completely ruling out some peripheral degradation... and ageing body ha!
It's a fairly resource-hungry game, so I'm not surprised. Doubt Nintendo are that bothered about this coming to future Nintendo hardware - the Pal designs are fairly reminiscent of Pokémon, but are different enough to avoid any unwanted legal attention. The game is also far from being a straightforward Pokémon clone. If you’ve played it, you will know it has elements of survival, building, crafting, resource management & a greater emphasis on exploration. If anything, a little competition will be good for Game Freak – some quality control and a decent game engine will go a long way to improving the latest Pokémon offerings.
I think there's a potential for a lot of fun with the sequels: you could have them all being swept away to a board game land like Jumanji, investigate a haunted hotel like in The Shining, or even have a full dedicated golf movie like Happy Gilmore. The possibilities are endless!
Forgive the ignorance, but this seems like an expensive and potentially worthless reproduction of what is essentially a rom; a quick cash grab that is likley to be blocked by Nintendo.
For the likes of Pikmin 1 & 2, yes, I think so. I know you're getting two games, but they are basic ports, whereas the majority of the others are reamkes built from the ground up. Paper Mario TYD, Another Code, Metroid all boast huge improvements over the original, so I think it's justified. Now, if Nintendo were to pull a Sony and sell an additional frame boost / upscale for the Switch's successor for each outing, then I would not be impressed.
Even for Lego, this is stupidly overpriced. This really should be in the £79.99 - £129.99 price bracket surely, especially when you compare to RRP & complexity of the Bowser, NES and Question Block sets.
I still wonder if there are a few end-game surprises Small non-story spoiler alert incoming I like the fact you could re-visit certain mini games at the end to better your score!
@andyg1412 everything these days is a rip-off... Mario is a rip-off of Sonic, Breath of the Wild was a rip-off of Genshin Impact, Pokemon was a rip-off of Digimon, & Luigi's Mansion a rip-off of Dead Space.
Wow, pre-order sales must be on low side if they already need to push discounts. It's probably to do with all the wet weather we're having and people are worried about their Paper Marios getting soggy, or the effect of humidity like swelling / sticking on old, 1,000 year-old doors.
@Not_Soos For those who have not played, you should listen to this dude. This game set a new benchmark - it's hilarious, heartfelt, has absolutely insane amounts of ingenuity & fun twists. Hands down, best Mario game ever & definitely in my top games of all time.
They're surpressing our freedom of speech - this piratephobia has to stop. First they took away our Long John Silver, then Captain Hook & most recently Captain Jack Sparrow. Before long, we will have to start buying games, with real doubloons!
Pre-ordered, but I've gone digital too ^_^ greedy, I know, but I do want to play on the day of release as this is one of my favourite games of all time.
'EA Sports... It's so lame' Still, impressive that a lot of Nintendo constantly remain in the Top 20 @epicgamner sadly, the same can be said for a lot of stuff in the entertainment industry; it's hard not for our funds to reach undesirable bigots at the top of the chain. Where I can, I answer with my wallet.
Sad times - will make this spiritual succesor all the more poignant. His creative vision will live on in the hearts and minds of all his colleagues, family and fans.

Re: Nintendo Submits "Mysterious New Wireless Device" To FCC
Ooo perhaps a sensor for the next Nintendo Fit? I'm glad they are still pushing ahead with new and innovative ways to play games.

Good luck to them with those NFTs! I bet they'll do really well.
Re: 'Emio' Includes A Lot Of Horrific Mature Themes, According To Its Rating
If this indeed a Blooper title, I will go in with low expectations. I'm hoping Nintendo have partnered up with someone else to be honest.

@FarTulip What was 'woke' about it? Did some of the characters get your Mother in a twirl, because they weren't sure if they were a boy or a girl?

A new Donkey Kong Switch Fit game with a banana peripheral for fruit based mini-game shenanigans!

How about the originals then? Just not in Cloud format please. Then perhaps FF VII Remake, but happy to have an emphasis on Cloud in that ^_^
