Re: PSA: Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Has Reportedly Leaked Online In Full

@Lizuka Lots of games have secrets & surprises that many people would like to experience for themselves, rather than accidentally come across them in a reveal. Granted, it may not be particularly spoilery plot wise for a title like Zelda, but if you consider the puzzles and the mechanics for completing them, it would be a bit like stumbling across a solution which could potentially negate the enjoyment had in solving it for yourself.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Nervous To Replay In Case They Don't Hold Up?

For me, I think there's only a handful of games that don't live up to the original playthrough or the nostalgia. Usually, this is due to QoL features, such as camera angles, or controls, especially in the early 3D games (excluding Mario 64). In my experience, Sonic Adventure was borderline unplayable when revisiting on Dreamcast as the controls seemed widely different now that I've been spoilt to modern controls. Obviously, not completely ruling out some peripheral degradation... and ageing body ha!

Re: Palworld Boss Says A Switch Release Could Be "Hard" Due To Technical Reasons

It's a fairly resource-hungry game, so I'm not surprised.
Doubt Nintendo are that bothered about this coming to future Nintendo hardware - the Pal designs are fairly reminiscent of Pokémon, but are different enough to avoid any unwanted legal attention. The game is also far from being a straightforward Pokémon clone. If you’ve played it, you will know it has elements of survival, building, crafting, resource management & a greater emphasis on exploration. If anything, a little competition will be good for Game Freak – some quality control and a decent game engine will go a long way to improving the latest Pokémon offerings.

Re: Poll: Is $60 Too Much For Nintendo's Switch Re-Releases?

For the likes of Pikmin 1 & 2, yes, I think so. I know you're getting two games, but they are basic ports, whereas the majority of the others are reamkes built from the ground up. Paper Mario TYD, Another Code, Metroid all boast huge improvements over the original, so I think it's justified. Now, if Nintendo were to pull a Sony and sell an additional frame boost / upscale for the Switch's successor for each outing, then I would not be impressed.
