I tend to buy digital Switch games for games I get the most playtime out of / make use of online features, so Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, Splatoon, Smash etc. For everything else, it's physical.
@jowe_gv I'd hardly call that a trailer, more of an announcement with a couple of stills, which doesn't bode well for a release this year, but you never know though, they may surprise us yet!
A fairly quiet release schedule after ZTotK, with one or two nice surprises from third parties. After the closure of Wii U & 3DS shops, I suspect we might a see a few entires like Mario vs. Donkey Kong & Doctor Mario / Luigi pop back in to existence & another re-hash of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon in Q4. Doubt very much we will get any major releases like Pikmin 4, Metroid 4, but we might be lucky and get a few ports / remasters like the Metroid Trilogy and Wind Waker to fill some gaps.
Wargrove scratched that itch, but I will still be getting this when it finally launches. Might be a 'wait for a sale' one for me though. So much to play, so little time.
@Expa0 Option 1: Turn off the internet to avoid free gifts being delivered whilst playing. Option 2: Offset the travesty of receiving help items by playing on a dance mat or by wearing boxing gloves. Option 3: Leave Earth in a spaceship and nuke the entire site from orbit... it's the only way to be sure. All in jest bud! I personally hate it when overpowered items are provided as paid DLC, so it's basically pay for an advantage / head start. Obviously there's always the choice to ignore, but as you said, a NPC / Notice Board like they have in FE Heroes would be the best choice.
I give Fire Emblem for the N-Gage a solid thumbs up or thumbs down; basically a Schrödinger's severed hand in a box. It arrived in the post today, I've updated it, bought the season pass & sometime when I have the willpower to play something other than Wordle or Plants vs Zombies, I will let you know.
I thought the 'The release condition for Deep in Abyss mode has been abolished' issue had been resolved in the previous patch? Maybe that was just Steam...
I haven't any bad experience with LRG. Sure, you have to wait quite a long time after placing an order as it has to be entered into production, otherwise I've had a good experience with their service to the UK. Some of the commenters on this thread seem to forget that NL have affliate links with Amazon, a Company I have far more problems with due to their business model / working practices & their treatment of staff.
Sigh for collection purposes, of course I want them, but I'm not paying silly prices on eBay, especially for a naff font. Will stick to Steam with mods. Hopefully they will do a re-release down the line as I'm sure they will want more money.
Underwhelming discounts... some are the same as previous ones, some are more expensive than usual. The only few decent ones are games I've already picked up sadly.
Loving Splatoon 3, but I sure do miss the new Splatfest levels. I didn't even get in to a single Tri-colour event this time either after they nerfed it sigh
@ThePizzaCheese No no, not independent, something like a guaranteed eShop Platform, tied to your account forevermore, with the ability to buy VC titles that can be played on future generations of hardware, as well as current hardware of course. I know, I know, it's wishful thinking, but can't you talk to your Uncle who works at Nintendo?
@Krysus Definitely! They could potentially make a lot more money, especially if they offered at the very least, officially upscaled games for N64 library and up.
What would really be nice is a guarantee of a solid platform, akin to Steam, where we can buy classic titles from NES through to Wii U, for example, & no matter what future console we buy, those digital VC titles will be there for us to enjoy. Obviously, I realise there may be issues with licensing, but there are tons of 1st Party content that simply never gets represented & most people have to resort to piracy or stupidly high prices on eBay. I want them to focus on new entires & new IP, for sure, but it would be nice to have legacy titles available.
@somnambulance World of Horror is excellent - there was a little bit of a developer hiatus, but the guy doing it has bounced back & is delivering some awesome updates on the PC version.
Hopefully getting ready for the Musk takeover - I would imagine Tingle, Isaac from Golden Sun & Captain Falcon will be sacked as they haven't contributed much in recent years.
I've seen SwitchUp's review & confirmed my suspicions... This might be something I pick up in the sale when they've taken on board some more player feedback as it looks like the mechanics are not in synch with some weird design choices that impact fun.
I enjoyed the macarbe & scary stuff as a kid, but there's no denying that my stress levels rose when playing Zombies Ate My Neighbours, especially on Level 4 Chainsaw Hedge Maze Mayhem.
@Ventilator I think you're exaggerating a little here - 80%? I don't think there's many here that would agree with cancel culture. Equality, yes, but no-one was cancelling anyone, at most a few people may have answered with their wallet and decided to cancel their pre-order; that's their freedom of choice. You don't need to keep going on about it in a seperate post, the fine folks here brought a lot to the table already. I hope you can refrain from troll-like posts and keep things civil.
It's awful how underpayed voice actors are across the board. They can take away her role in this game, but she still has a voice; I'm glad she can retain her pride and stand up for what is right.

For those wanting to play this game, stick with the GameCube or PS3 versions (former for FPS, latter for content).

FINALLY. Only got to play 2 of these, and that was in the Splat Test.
