Re: Poll: Three Months In, How Would You Rate Switch 2's Library So Far?

DK Bananza has single-handedly won it for me. I do wish there were more upgrades early on (Xenoblade series, Pokemon Arceus, Luigi's Mansion 3 and loads of 3rd party games), but overall, I'm happy with the initial launch. I think they will need to turn it up a notch in the post new year slump with some exciting titles though.

Well, the two HD2D JRPGs are on my radar, but the whole presentation was very underwhelming. Like others have mentioned, some big hitters like Elden Ring could have boosted my score, along with maybe some surprises from Microsoft, like entries from Forza, Halo etc.
Anyway, off to burn my hopes and dreams with Chillin' by the Fire; expectations dwindling, so gonna use them as kindling

Trying to stay positive here..... um, I really like the Rainbow Road in this one. Music is excellent. It's pretty to look at. I like the P Switch challenges too... buuuuuuuut.... Where are the tricky twists and turns!? 90% of each course feels like a straight line with unnecessary padding until you reach the actual bit that represents the title. Then, the courses are about 4x as wide as old courses. I know, I know, they had to make it bigger to accommodate 24 players, but it just makes things feel very barren. Don't get me started on the infuriatingly placed question panels in Free Roam. I think it would have been better to implement challenges to each course, similar to Burnout, like finding a hidden route, speeding through a ramp-based shortcut etc.
Still got plenty to do for sure, but I'm not sure bigger is always better. I get it, they are trying something new, but I'm not completely sold yet.

@RainbowGazelle Attached the following link for you: https://www.nintendo.com/en-gb/News/2025/June/Upcoming-Nintendo-Switch-2-games-June-2025-2840361.html
There are at least 4 exclusives, a large amount of ports with some boasting exclusive content launching first on Nintendo Switch 2. Don't forget the Gamecube classics! I'm very much looking forward to playing Soul Calibur 2 again
No launch is without its faults, sure, but with Donkey Kong Bananza following up next month, I think there's enough here to justify a decent launch window selection.
Hopefully, Ninty will win you over with later releases. Happy gaming bud ^_^

It's some progress at least! What they need to do now is offer the ability to filter out / hide certain key phrases and/or certain Developers, or games. I still use the likes of PSPrices for hunting down and keeping track of deals.
Obviously, I'm now reading many of the comments above from the other fine contributors to NL, which basically cover the same things, but are more articulate.

They could have just added $10.00 / Β£10.00 to the console price and include this as a free download. What I would have really loved though is some kind of spiritual successor to Nintendo Land to showcase what you can do with the controllers / system. Maybe if they offered the base 'Welcome Tour' experience for free and added a premium DLC option for more content, that could have been an option too. Hey ho, certainly not going to lose sleep over Ninty's decision.
