@RubyCarbuncle Similar, Star Wars is very close to my heart. I played most of the previous Star Wars Lego games & Lego City Undercover, so maybe my expectations were a little too high and I'm maybe a little burnt out on collectathons shrugs
Anyone else found the game underwhelming? I can't deny it's stuffed full of content, but I've found it to be all quite repetitive & I've lost the motivation to continue.
@Bizzyb Lickers, Wesker, Zombies, Dogs, Giant Spiders, Umbrella Corp, T-Virus, RE3 Worm... As if we want another lame attempt to follow all the beats in the early games; we've been there, done that and it was rubbish. Hopefully something a bit different in the RE universe might prove to be interesting. Too many people taking a dump on it before they even see it.
It's very in-keeping with the remastered games' art style. Having grown up with the original titles, I'm very much excited for this new entry. You can't please everyone I guess, but hopefully the creators won't be too disheartened.
Going to wait to see what Reggie has to say about this in his 'spare' time in the next article; 'ex-COO of NoA Strikes Back' would be a fitting tagline.
@CANOEberry I know right? Lots of people damning it based on rumours. We need to wait & watch it to have a verdict. I highly doubt Ninty would let it be a complete dumpster fire. Sure, the delay may mean some tweaks are required, but people forget they probably moved it so it wouldn't clash with the new Avatar film & Puss in Boots.
I mean, a few substantial musical interludes would be fine, especially if they use some of the iconic Koji Kondo music, but if we're talking large ensemble numbers every 5-10 minutes, then this will be off putting. Changing the iconic clothes might be fine given context; they may be on a break and in lounge wear or appropriate costumes for location / situation at the start (covering up Mario nipples for sure). Trying to remain postive here, but I suspect Ninty's involvement wont let them stray too far from their idealogies / designs.
I wouldn't say regret, but I was a little disappointed with the 3DS launch with only Rayman, Street Fighter & the AR cards to amuse me for some time. In the long run though, it was worth it as the Ambassador program gifted us some nice free games & I got my hands on one of those nice 3DS with the Ambassador face plate.

@johnedwin It would be a lovely surprise, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I would think Nintendo will wait & ride out the major manufacturing / chip shortages before commiting to a new model, plus they know the existing models sell well due to the huge library of games. Would love to be proved wrong though ^_^
It's both scary & exciting to think we're potentially over half way through the Switch's lifecycle and that a follow up console (be a Pro model, or full on successor) could be announced within a few years. In the meantime, so many games to look forward to.
They've fought off a takeover from Vivendi / Tencent a few years ago, so I'm interested to see what the plan is now. I say interested, but it's more trepidation as takeovers never have the consumers best interests at heart. Anyone who takes Ubisoft on will need to bleach the bad smells and working practices left behind by previous managment; hope they take a serious stance on ridding the misogyny / toxicity.
@HenHiro considering we know so little about it, it's hard to quantify how much of it is the same as the previous titles; I think we need to wait for a proper direct before anyone gets too pessimistic. What we do know is that there will be a new campaign, new weapons, new MP levels & new gear, whilst improving some elements of Salmon Run. I think it's safe to say there's a lot more information to be shared as there's likely to be all sorts of new stuff added (hoping a better lobby system for friends) I do wish Splatfests in the second game could have gone on a bit longer, even it was once a quarter.
CeX is probably the cheapest in the UK at the moment, but then it's a gamble on the quality of the case etc when ordering online. eBay prices are already rising...
PEGI 18 - contains deep cleavage, antagonist groin area bulges & scary looking beasts with a penchant for censored It's good that descriptions are thorough for adults who may need to make purchasing decisions for the younger folk. So long as nothing gets censored, I'm game.
It would have been nice if there were a few Game Gear versions thrown in for good measure, but I'll take a new way to play Sonic 3 & Knuckles regardless.
Neat! Thought I'd download a copy for the archives, then saw the 4K video is over 55GB in size.... Wonder how long this will be up before Nintendo gets it taken down?
